I was able to test the fries and my burger with my Nima tester and it came back gluten free. They fried my fries and made without seasoning. I have eaten here several times and never been sick. I have celiac.

Service is absolutely horrible (,like 45 min before being acknowledged or given menus, slow during too, not busy), but the food is great. Also definitely not for Celiac's. Same fryers and other cross contamination. Only offer gf buns.

Not knowledgable when it comes to gluten or cross contamination...they say the fries are gluten free but they are cooked in the same fryer as everything else along with the chips....and when you ask questions about these things they are not very happy to answer your questions...

Sitting at Newt’s right now. Ordered a cheeseburger on a GF bun and side salad in place of fries. The waitress said it’s a shared fryer and even the chips (nachos) are fried. That doesn’t leave a whole lot left on the menu. Def not Celiac safe, IMO.

Sure they have gluten free buns, but the best, IMO is their salad topped with burger patty of choice.

They have gf buns but I wasn’t confident in their knowledge and lack of cross-contamination. Because I am allergic to wheat I took a Benadryl before I ate. The food is average.

Amazing burger (Marvin's) especially on the gluten-free bun. The fries are gluten free as far as I know, but not really the best I've ever had.

Newts downtown has excellent and celiac safe burgers. Unfortunately this is the only location that does not have a dedicated fryer. Waitstaff is always helpful and knowledgeable!

I like Newt's because it's cozy and rarely crowded. It has gluten free buns, but the burgers within them are pretty bland.

I agree that the gluten-free burger was really good!. But they now say the French fries are not gluten-free, and they don't have a gluten free fryer at all anymore. Sadness.

The gf bun is decent and they have a separate fryer for french fries! :) I've been OK after eating there but I have been warned by one wait staff that the separate fryer is located right next to the other fryer. Not sure if that means gluten may sprinkle in there throughout the day or what, but I have not been sick afterwards. Nummm!

Excellent gluten-free burgers. I only gave them 4 stars because they don't have actual gluten-free beer - only Omission, which is "gluten-removed". Something like Lakefront Brewery's New Grist would be safer for people with celiac disease.

I had the Marvin burger and it was so yummy. Delicious gluten free bun. Fries cooked in a separate fryer. Staff was very knowledgeable about what was gluten free. Left feeling fat and sassy. Will definitely be back.

The burgers, as always, were great - but the gf buns were a little dry. Loved the fries and the atmosphere!

I have only tried bread once since being diagnosed three months ago, and it was awful. If I didn't know, I never would have guessed these buns were GF. The waitress said the fries were also cooked in a separate fryer, and I had no reaction. I will definitely come back if I'm in the area again!
