Our new place for best gluten free Clam Chowder on the coast. My wife is gluten intolerant - her words "awesome!" And it was awesome. Also, huge lunch servings, and gluten free bread was home fresh baked on site. Recommens Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich. Delicious. We were able to buy a loaf to take home. We can't wait to go back, it is now a destination meal place for us (iykyk) (visit was in July, delayed review)

Unfortunately, the report of Gluten Free biscuits is no longer accurate. Nor are there scones. But the server said that some days there are gluten free turnovers (Marionberry or pineapple if I understood correctly). For those that need to know, their housemade gf bread contains eggs (I didn't ask about dairy). But their clam chowder is gluten free and absolutely marvelous! I think this may be the best clam chowder I've had. The clams are not diced, nor are they chewy.

Great experience! Staff was knowledgeable about cross contact and said GF sandwiches are prepared on a separate counter. I had a delicious BLT with Kettle chips, (the server wasn’t totally confident about no cross contact with a salad). Brought out GF lunch separately from non-GF. Did not get sick. They also sell their homemade GF bread which was delicious!

AMAZING!! The owner was very knowledgeable about gluten free, the menu was well marked and his wife even made homemade GF corn tortillas for my son's quesadilla! The GF bread was delicious! He brought out a complimentary cup of their fresh homemade clam chowder which was also GF and by far the best we've ever had!!

The owner is very accommodating friendly and knowledgeable on Celiac and gluten. Great staff. Awesome clam chowder. Home made GF bread is tasty. My go to food destination in Newport. Very happy. It’s very hard for me to trust any restaurant, and I feel safe with their food.

Finding a place that has gluten free clam chowder isn't easy. That why this is one of our favorite places to stop when we our on the coast. It's a must have, delicious, and the home made bread is wonderful. My wife had the Tuna sandwich on gf bread and loved it. Would recommend it to anyone.

All of the gf items are marked on the menu and they offer gf bread so many meals can be accommodated. I had a turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich on gf bread. I told the waitress I had celiac and she made a note on the ticket and told the cook to ensure no cross contamination. When she brought my food, she told me that the cook cleaned the entire grill and my food did not come in contact with any gluten.

Delicious breakfast! Tried to get the crab cakes but they sold out too fast. Knowledgeable, felt safe eating there.

Called in at 11am Sunday which is a busy time. Waited over half an hour for a table and the same again for our food but the gluten-free crab cakes were delicious. Shame we couldn't have a quicker visit as we still had 320 miles to travel that day but the food was worth the wait

The gluten free bread is the best I've ever had. The clam chowder is always gf. I've never gotten sick here. Kind of pricey but everything on the coast is pricey. Plan to be waiting in the summer as there arent many seats. Its cozy and the ppl are very friendly. It's a MUST if you are visiting

I have no doubt that the food is very good. But after looking at the menu prices online I do not plan to dine here. $10 for a sandwich and then to be charged an additional $2 for Gluten Free is appalling. Especially when they are making the bread themselves. I make bread at home because it is cheaper than commercial (gf). But even commercial GF does not cost $1 per slice. STOP TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE WITH A MEDICAL CONDITION AND STOP PRICE GOUGING!

Fantastic gluten free fish tacos here! They were out of gluten free desserts since the day before was Valentines Day but we were able to order some gluten free bread with their homemade Marionberry jam.

What a great find when visiting family on the west coast! We had breakfast and everything was amazing! Have separate kitchen area to prepare gf and the regular menu food was also extremely good! The homemade regular bread was the best!!

Went there twice this weekend. Food was excellent both times. Homemade GF bread & jam! Lots of GF choices marked on their menu, plus more that are GF if you substitute the bread. Service was really really slow (45 min to get lunch!) the second day when we went at a peak time & they were busy. But we’ll be back—just aim for an off-peak hour!

My only complaint about this place was that I am also dairy free and there are limited options. Also when my food came out, it had cheese on it (I had told the waitress I was DF when I ordered). Otherwise everything was great.

I had the fish tacos and thought the fish was a little dry but the guacamole and salsa fixed that right up. It was nice to find a restaurant everyone could agree on where I could get a good safe gluten and dairy free meal. We will be going back!

Third time eating here and it has yet to disappoint! Open for breakfast and lunch and very accommodating! Update: this is still a consistent place we go, the food is always amazing and I have never gotten sick. They have dedicated GF toaster and butter for the GF toast. I'll add that it may not be safe for all celiacs, especially really sensitive Celiacs because they don't have a dedicated space and make their gluten biscuits and breaded right in the middle of the kitchen with open flour bins everywhere. It's just too small of a kitchen to rule out a cross contamination risk. Still highly recommend this place though.
