We called ahead to notify them of my allergy and also inquire as to the options. The hostess said all waiters/waitresses are trained on the safety and options. They weren’t when we arrived, but they were incredibly kind and patient checking with the kitchen and ensuring the food was safe for me to eat. We had an amazing experience and I did not have a reaction. I would recommend 10/10 for taste, safety and ambiance.

Not many gluten free options. No gluten free menu and pricey. Not the best seafood choices for gluten free in this town!! Server tried!!
Not many gf options. The chef is aware of what is and isn't gf. They had to piece together a dish that I could eat because everything else had gluten. It was pretty bland, but no reaction

We have three generations that have eaten at Oceanic for years and years! My celiac daughter has eaten here at least 40-50 times and never been sick. The key to ordering is speaking directly with a manager and explaining your needs-nicely and gratefully!!!!
My daughter often gets the Caesar salad (no croutons) with a 6 or 8 oz filet of fish on top. Don't order it blackened because the seasoning has gluten. You are taking more of a risk outside of this order but still a good chance you'd be okay. We've done fine the few times that we have tried other things. She just loves their Caesar dressing and fish!
Oceanic bent over backwards and was learning a lot about gluten free, had created a separate menu, and the guy you have to thank for them pulling their menu and almost giving up is probably Chris below. I'm so mad at people like him who ruin it for the rest of us! I think he is the one that had a family member get an exposure and came and yelled at Oceanic like an ass and they pulled a lot of their efforts. They still have a lot to offer but won't hand out a separate menu anymore.
Lesson to all...educate your staff and managers along the way and be patient with them if you have an exposure. Keep trying if you have an exposure and they have assured you they are being more careful. Give them a chance!
Finally, I bet the other reviewer that didn't like their server was a jerk too. Be nice to your servers too! I've seen that sometimes gluten free and celiacs act pompous, arrogant, ungrateful, and belligerent with the staff when ordering.
Straighten up and be grateful so we stop getting a bad, needy, and high maintenance name!
Yes
Great atmosphere and food if you can eat gluten . Our waitress was ridiculous though , not even wanting to be helpful. I ended up with a salad.
***Be very careful. Celiac and was contaminated here. Had a Sunday brunch and was showed a gluten free menu which had "Creamy pasta with shrimp" and said below "pasta had gluten and must be substituted". Made no sense. Meal I ordered ended up being contaminated and when my son went back the next day to speak to the manager, the "gluten free menu" had been destroyed and thrown out that morning because it was incorrect with the items. Was very suspicious and wish I was making this up! The management thought they had an understanding on what gluten free means but clearly were not educated enough. Great view and great meals for non gluten free diners but I cannot trust it again for GF.
They do not have a separate gluten free menu, and when the manager came over to talk to me, it was more of a "here's some various options of things we serve that you could combine together and eat" but not like "these individual entrees on our menu can be made GF". That was frustrating because for an expensive place I wanted to know what my meal would cost and I struggled to figure out what I wanted. Overall, I went with the BBQ Salmon and Shrimp and it was pretty good.
*Note: Confetti rice has couscous in it so is NOT GF. *
Great seafood with chef who gets it. No issues. Wish they had baked potato. Weather permitting, eat on the covered deck right on the beach.
