I spoke with the food director David on the phone and he walked me through the menu. Call ahead or email prior to your stay and he will help you navigate all the food. He even said he would bake wings or pan fry fries for me. This hotel is amazing. I ate at frontier tavern, the crystal room and Tillie’s.

We had a pretty bad experience at the Crystal Room. We told the waitress that our daughter had Celiac and could not have anything with Gluten. We got a confused look. We told her that meant she could not have anything with Wheat, barley, rye, malt. She said she'd check with the chef. She came back to tell us the kids mac n' cheese from the kids menu was Gluten-free. We were surprised. Upon a bit more reflection, we grew skeptical since that would make no sense. We asked her to check again to be sure. She went back to check. As she approached to tell us that the chef said it was gluten-free, the manager came up behind her and said, no actually it's not. She apologized and offered to make baked fries for our daughter. But the fact that the chef and waitress seemingly had no clue did not inspire us with confidence. We spoke to the hotel manager to relay the episode and he said the food service was not under his purview. Really loved this resort, but the ineptitude around food make us very uncomfortable going here again.

Ate at the Frontier Tavern at the resort. Gluten free bun on the burger was very tasty. A number of options - salad, soup, salmon, filet. Great atmosphere too and very friendly service. I had a root beer float for dessert.

The staff at the restaurants are very knowledgeable and are able to answer any questions about the menu. The breakfast area in the Crystal Room has a dedicated toaster and gluten free area. They are also able to make gluten free french toast and pancakes. The other restaurants on the property has many gluten free options available on their menus. One caution-they do not have a dedicated fryer at the restaurants.

All the staff was so accommodating to being gluten and dairy free. We ate at the Crystal Dining room for breakfast. They have a dedicated toaster and an area of gf breads and muffins. We also ate at all the other restaurants. All my meals were so good and I never once felt I was slighted because of my restrictions. 1796 dining actually brought out gf bread to go with dinner. I’ve never had that happen before. They even have desserts that are safe.

we had breakfast twice at the crystal dining room. they had gf bread, rolls and chocolate muffins and English muffins. the items were away from the gluten filled bread which was nice. there was a dedicated toaster although it didn't really heat up. there were condiments in the area also. the sausage was gf and I had an omelette and fruit. loved it.

I had the seafood salad at Frontier tavern w green goddess dressing. they even made me gf croutons for my salad! the server went to the adjoining restaurant to get me a gf piece of chocolate cake. I would go back.

Not a great selection at the tavern. They did have g-free bread that they could substitute in sandwiches, but that's about it. The fries, the potato chips, even the tortilla chips for the nachos are house made and fried in the same oil as the fish. Salads are out unless you want oil and vinegar as NONE of the dressings are g-free. Places like this frustrate me. How difficult would it be to buy a few bottles of g-free dressings to offer with salads? How hard would it be to buy bags of tortilla chips and potato chips to substitute for g-free customers? A few small things like that would go a long way to changing my attitude from annoyed to pleased.
