If you need gf, this is not the place to go. Although the gf buns were pretty good, not crumbly.

Offer GF pasta and buns. Pasta is made in same water as regular pasta. GF crust comes in contact with gluten surfaces. Food is okay at best in my opinion. Good atmosphere to meet friends to watch a game and enjoy a cider.

The gluten free bun was descent, but there may have been cross contamination. I felt poorly right after eating.

Gluten free pizza is great and at a reasonable price. They have a separate gluten free menu that you need to ask for. Service is great.

Ehh. That's all I can say. The first time the pizza was decent, and the second time it was way undercooked and gross. I really don't ever want to go there, would not recommend.

We came in late right before the kitchen closed. I got started at the OP when I was in college in Cedar Falls. I live that their is one in Des Moines!

Showed up about 20-30 minutes before the kitchen closed. We got the menu and figured we would get pizza because that is the only thing gluten free on their late night bites menu. Order 3 pizzas because their gf pizza only comes in smalls. We ordered the house, sicilian, and four star.

It took about 15 minutes before the waitress ever came over to ask what we wanted to drink. She then tried to leave without taking our food order. We had to tell her we were not done yet and wanted food.

We ended up having to wave her down whenever we needed more drinks and were sharing each others water because she never refilled them. She seemed very frazzled for some reason and like her head was not there. But it was not too busy and there were 3 people waitressing plus the bartender.

****UPDATE***** Very quiet restaurant for 8:20pm on a Friday. It is also really confusing for my senses to have salsa music playing in the kitchen and pop in the restaurant. It was like the music was competing with each other. Had the same waitress as last time and she forgot silverware again.

I just got gluttoned from cross contamination. I get this is a gluten friendly menu but if you are going to offer this on your menu it should be common sense to CHANGE your gloves before making a gf sandwich. I am now going to be miserable for several days with repercussions that continue for weeks after eating a grilled chicken sandwich with a side salad of oil and vinegar dressing that had nothing wrong with it besides someone touching it with gloves that already had gluten on it.

I have been here several times before and have never had a reaction so this is very sad for me.

I do not even get an apology from the waitress when I let her know I am having an alllergic reaction. Just a "well our menu is gluten friendly"

Which is not helpful at all. I don't appreciate the feedback I got and do not plan to eat here again. Anyone with a FOOD ALLERGY DO NOT EAT HERE.

I will say watching the bar was entertaining. There was a group of 8 guys who were having fun belting out the music that was coming through the speakers.

Food was good. The sicilian was very dry and would have been better with sauce and not just oil on it. I did appreciate that they have a gluten free menu. I just wish that all the other OPs had it because I do not actually live in Des Moines. I just happened to be visiting my parents and my mom wanted to go.

They have a gluten free menu including GF pizza. The waitress was knowledgeable but also explained that while the items in the GF menu are safe, they don’t have a separate prep area. I ordered a salad, I didn’t feel comfortable ordering a pizza assuming it would be prepped in the same area as the regular pizza. I would go back, but not as a first choice.

Great pizza. I often ask for it well done. Also have a decent selection of ciders.
