Picked up pizza twice from 250 Read St location. This is the best GF pizza I've ever had! This crust is incredible, and the pizza sauce is the best I've ever had. I ordered online and requested GF prep and items. Did not have the chance to talk to staff (and I'm typically more careful) but both orders came after not being able to get reservations and we were very hungry. I did not notice any symptoms, and feel confident I was not glutened. SO GOOD!

It's not our first time at Ottos but it's our first time at this location. My number 1 rule before eating is to NOT go to the restroom. There's is nothing more than an appetite killer than a nasty restroom. Nasty restroom, nasty kitchen. If they can't clean the bathroom properly, guess what? The kitchen must also be horribly disgusting. AND I broke my rule. First off, the toilet was disgusting like it hasn't seen a toilet brush in a while. The water bottle container had white and black stuff stuck on the inside of the bottle. So we didn't drink the water.
As for the food, it was just ok. We ordered meatballs appetizer and gluten free pepperoni pizza. The meatballs were tough and not tender at all and it came out luke warm. The pizza was a nightmare. It was so doughy and undercooked. We paid $15 for the pizza and it was quite disappointing. The dough was frozen pre-made so it was tough. If they can't do gluten free right, they should just not offer them.

I ordered gluten free vegan margherita pizza and thankfully tested it with my Nima first. It was not gluten free. 🙁

We get their pizza regularly and love it.
Pre-celiac I loved otto's. I saw the gluten free option and asked...the said the kitchen is full of flour there is now way it is safe for celiacs. I give them kudos for letting people know!
No
I saw the disclaimer for celiacs so I called ahead to see whether they could try to keep everything as separate as possible - the manager said they could and would keep it separate. When I placed my order I asked the waitress twice to make sure everything was separate. The food tasted great but I felt pretty sick after. As the menu says Ottos is not suitable for celiacs.

I think the GF crust is awesome - but you have to be into thin-crust pizza. If you are, it's delicious! Flavorful and crispy. They have a warning on the menu for celiacs about possible cross contamination, but I have yet to find a place that offers both GF and regular pizza and doesn't throw out such a disclaimer. I have celiac and had no issues, but it's something to consider. So good!

They can do most things on the menu gluten free. The server was extremely safe and knowledgeable. Food was really good.

Warning! Do NOT eat here at the South Boston location if you have celiac! They do not take them seriously. Guy who took my order said “yes” to all of my questions about safety protocols, then likely didn’t follow any of them. My daughter was violently ill within 5 mins of eating the pizza. Avoid this location at all costs!

We'd called previously and been told they took care to prevent cross contamination. This time my pizza showed up with charred bits on the bottom, we called back and were told there was no cross contamination prevention and the pizza wasn't recommended for Celiacs. Wish I'd noticed before I ate it.

Great tasting pizza! Gluten free crust is wonderful tasting. Not your generic frozen crust. Waitstaff is great also
