Nice that they have a GF menu but steak seasonings are not GF. So if you want a steak it comes with no seasoning whatsoever. Very bland for the quality of their steaks which are not top notch in my experience.

I have extreme gluten sensitivity. I ordered off the gluten free menu and informed them about my sensitivity. They placed a rue sauce on my plate and I ate it assuming everything was gluten free as they promised. I then experienced the most horrific night of my life. When my husband called them, all they could say was oops. We dropped over $100 with our group. DONT TRUST THEM!!!

Ordered off the "gluten free" menu at the Outback in the Aquarius Casino, and the waitress took forever to get me a menu, and acted annoyed when I said I needed my food to be made seperately, then proceeded to ask me if I wanted croutons on my salad!!! I got sick from cross contamination from my potato or steak. I will not eat at an Outback steakhouse again. Do NOT have a gluten free menu if its not safe for us Celiacs.

I would be very careful at this restaurant. The wait staff seemed knowledgeable and helpful but I have been glutened twice there. The 2nd time I called and tried to figure out what happened. The manager was more interested in me talking to their insurance company to file a claim ( for what?) than trying to figure out where the gluten came from. I believe it was the salad. I think they picked croutons off and called it good. I will not go back.

It's great that outback recognizes being gluten free with a detailed, separate menu, but with all of the compromises they have to make, they may as well just put little symbols on their main menu like most other restaurants. For starters, they explicitly state that their Aussie fries (a flagship dish of Outback's) are not gluten free. That in its self is nearly a deal breaker, but their hamburgers, which were excellent when I could eat the whole thing, are only gluten free if they don't serve it with the bun. So if that's what you order (it would be a hamburger with Aussie fries typically), all you are getting is a grilled beef patty. Gluten free, but a very poor compromise, which I think does not justify eating at Outback until they figure out how to prepare more of their menu items actually gluten free.

My husband, who has celiac, has never had a reaction here. We've been at least twenty times. Just make sure you tell your server you are GF so that they cook your food with the right cookware. Some outbacks are only okay, but this one is consistently good and staff are friendly.

Dining in I've never had a problem with contamination and I've been eating here for years, but I cannot say the same for take-out. On two occasions I got very sick after eating take-out from there and on two other occasions I got home and the food was not prepared gluten free (croutons, blue cheese dressing, etc). Within the last week they have included bread in my order but the food was safe otherwise. For a chain they do a very good job overall.

staff is very helpful and if they don't know ow the answer they find it for you. They are very cautious about gf needs. From my experience, every time I've eaten there, my waiter / waitress has at least heard of a gf diet if not known how to be careful of it. I don't have any worries when I eat here. If only Texas roadhouse could take some lessons from them....

This location has dedicated GF fryers for fries. Not all Outback locations have this. Staff are fairly knowledgeable, but it's good to ask and verify. Some dressings are home made and are not safe. Double check when asking.

What an awful experience. I have Celiac Disease and while eating I discovered that there was a crouton buried in my salad that I specifically requested to be prepared Gluten Free- "no croutons" The server said "Oh, they must have just picked off the croutons when they realized it was supposed to be gluten free" I nicely explained that people with Celiac Disease can't even have a crumb and he seemed surprised. Better training needs to be implemented in and out of the kitchen. This is absolutely unacceptable from a restaurant that partners with The Celiac Sprue Foundation. On top of having a slow, immature wait staff, I would definitely not recommend this location. Especially for people with Celiac Disease.

After eating about a third of my salad, I noticed a crouton underneath some lettuce. I told the waitress who was very apologetic. She apparently informed the owner who promptly came to our table to apologize and say that they take this type of thing very seriously. I can tell you that I have no confidence in this location now. I understand people make mistakes , but it was a serious one!

We stopped for dinner today since we always hear how great Outback is for GF.. Wow not a winner at this location, the staff was clueless, didn't help that the manager was MIA when I asked to speak to someone w/seniority that had a clue. I was telling the server based on the online gf menu how he needed to modify my meal... In the middle of my meal, while eating the waiter came over to ask how my food was, and what would really happen if something was prepped wrong... glad he wanted to know, but made me nervous, food wasn't that great.

The GF menu tells you what to say to the server when ordering (with or without seasoning) and they make all the food separately. Plus the server was very knowledgable. I'm so glad we found another place to eat out.

    5769 SR 303 NE, Bremerton, WA 98311

I recommend the Bremerton, WA, Hwy 303 Outback. I did NOT get sick here. Reading other reviews, I can see this varies greatly with location, but in this case, it was a good experience. They accommodated my GF and dairy free request cheerfully. Both management and staff were professional, personable, and knowledgeable about GF and cross-contamination. A manager oversees the preparation of any meal when a food allergy/sensitivity is involved, and they assure me they use a separate prep area. I'm not a chain restaurant kind of person, but wanted to be safe. I had a simple, decent meal with a nicely cooked piece of fish, steamed vegetables, and a baked potato, with olive oil and wine vinegar, and I didn't have to suffer for it afterward. The only mistake they made was to put containers of gluten-containing dressing literally on the side of the plate of the appetizer we were sharing. Some of the contents slopped out onto the food. But they were very receptive to my explanation of why this is not okay and suggestion that they always serve the dressings on a separate plate in future. Everything else was very well done. Note: they do not have a designated fryer.

So disappointed. Never again. I put "no" under celiac friendly, because while they DO have a GF menu, they really don't care if you're GF or not.
