Writing while sick off of this stuff at the Guadalajara location….never trying again and will throw out 400 pesos of cute breads. They don’t even taste that good I wish I’d at least eaten a real donut or something.

My mom and I, had the worst allergy here, my mom needed to go urgently to see the doctor due to the reaction, the bread they sell is NOT gluten free, the Mexican celiac association did tests to it and it’s as high in gluten as any other wheat bread

I had a very bad experience. I do not recommended eating their products as, by their own admittance, the ingredients they use can cause a reaction to coeliacs, they admit that cross contamination is a risk, ANDthey recommend consulting your doctor before eating their products.
I bought a gluten free donut and mini cake. On the way home I took 3 bites from the donut (thank goodness I didn’t eat more). 1hr later I was very ill, starting with brain fog, sweating, shaking, vomiting and extreme stomach pain. I saw that the cake had all the stickers saying free from gluten/sugar/dairy but the donut had no sticker. I panicked and wondered if the store had somehow confused a normal donut with a gf donut. My partner called the store and asked to speak to a manager as we needed help with a person reacting after consuming one of their products. The person hung up on us (!). We called back 4 more times and got hung up on 4 more times. So I checked the website and saw that they bakery MAKES GLUTEN CONTAINING PRODUCTS. it is not a 100% gf bakery as I had thought. The next day I finally got a response. I was shocked to hear that they say that some people can react to the combination of ingredients used - is this even safe for consumption for anyone?! They also admit to the risk of cross contamination. I only took 3 bites of a donut and I am sure it contained gluten. Terrible customer service and a very bad experience. Avoid.

I have never had such a violent reaction to gluten in my 15 years post diagnosis. Avoid this place at all costs.

Beware! This place claims to be gluten free but is not. It is a fraud. Mexican Celiac Society has done several laboratory analisys proving that their products have high levels of gluten. All Mexican Celiac Associatons have warnings about Gabriel. This applies to all branches in CDMX, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Saltillo, etc.

DO NOT TRUST PAN GABRIEL- my mom brought me pastries from Monterrey location and i just want to warn all locations of Pan Gabriel.
I’m pregnant and ate a pastry. Immediately i felt dizzy and threw up. I thought it was a juice that gave me heartburn but as soon as i got home i tested the same pastry on my Nema gluten tester and it came back positive.
I really am extremely mad at them for promoting themselves as a completely gluten free bakery. It’s disgusting that people do this !!!

I saw the previous reviews and was concerned. I decided to try this spot anyway as I'm staying nearby. I started with a cappuccino and grabbed a delicious looking dounut. I took a small bite and waited a whole day. No reaction. I ate half of the doughnut today and still feel fine. I'm wondering if the bakery accidentally used the wrong flour during the timeframe of those reviews or if some serious cross contamination happened. Everything is separately packaged.

I ended up in the hospital after eating a donut here. One of the worst gluten exposures I’ve ever had. I cannot believe they market gluten free pastries. Not to be dramatic, but seriously my $2 donut ended up costing $700 in medical fees. DONT EAT HERE!

Warning - avoid at all cost. Supposed to be dedicated gluten free. Sickest I have been in years. I didn’t test with Nima until after first pastry. Turns out it was full of gluten. Nothing here is safe.

Each item is individually wrapped in plastic. Beware not all items in there are GF. Ask the employee there which ones are, he pointed to three items which were not GF. I ended up getting the GF chocolate and nut doughnut. It was delicious, and I liked the bread. The chocolate icing does crack and fall off - makes a small mess. Overall good experience, but wished they had more savory pastries and did not use so much plastic.

Love the bread options! I am not celiac.
They also produce bread with gluten, not safe for celiacs at all. I had many problems by eating their “gluten free” bread.
No
My donut and cinnamon roll both came up "gluten found" on a Nima test. :( I'm heartbroken. They looked sooo good.
