I called ahead to find out if they had gluten free options. They said yes. Their menu does not have anything labeled gluten free. The waitress went to ask the kitchen if the queso was gluten free or specifically made with wheat (my daughter has a wheat allergy) and she came back and said it did not have wheat in it. Nearly everything on the menu is made with flour tortillas! My daughter ordered tostadas. As she was eating them, we wondered if the sauce the chicken was cooked in was gluten- free!? She didn’t get sick from them. I don’t consider this a gluten-free friendly experience.
I love the fajitas! ππ
I went to this restaurant because I heard they had a gluten free menu. When I got there and asked for one they said they didn't have one. The waiter said just don't get flour tortillas. When I placed my order I reminded him of my allergy and he didn't seem to know what it was.
the waiter and rest of the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately that didn't make up for the lousy food. The salsa tasted as if it had gone bad. Ya know, that gone bad sour taste. The tamale was about 5 cups of corn flour with the tinyest amount of pork possible in it. The mole tasted more like sweet tangy BBQ sauce with a dash of chocolate syrup. We like to try new places. We will NOT be returning here. I gave it 2 stars because the staff was very nice.
This is my favorite Mexican place in Colorado Springs. I always get the chicken enchiladas or tacos and have never had an issue! Great chips salsa too!
