The service was great here! My waitress was very knowledgable about allergens and took extra care to make sure my meal was safe; she also took great care of my friend who is vegetarian. The burger and fries were good, as were the drinks!
Usually love Red Robin and this place had gluten free buns and a dedicated fryer, but the burger as so-so at best. The fries weren't very fresh and they forgot the condiments we requested. Also, $3 for a to-go soda that was mostly ice... save your money and find a different location.
Red robin claims to have a GF menu but upon arrival and requesting one I was told I had to use my phone and go online to see what was available, which I found very strange. Plus after looking online and finding a choice, I was then told this particular restaurant did not carry that item. Back to the menu and after three tries I finally found something I wanted and they had!! Then there was the back and forth about what was safe. Again referred to online. Why can't the restaurant print copies?? I found the entire thing silly and tiring. Finally received my burger, but it was an hour after I ordered.
Of all the chain restaurants RedRobin probably has the most gluten free offerings. I've never gotten sick after eating here. I was very skeptical the first time I ate here and made our server ask the manager on duty and the cook to confirm GF options. Fries are done in a separate fryer and the lettuce wraps are delicious. I've had the gluten free bun once and personally didn't care for it, but I am pretty picky.
waitress was clueless but nice. she ordered me a guacamole burger because she just wasn't sure how to ring in my order. manager helped her reorder it but she still brought guacamole on the side. their guacamole I'd not gluten free. ???? manager no where to be seen after that. not even busy when I went? ate my new burger and did no get sick so it was good
Terrific service from Trav. Knowledgeable on gluten free needs, and very kind. Ordered g free burger with g free bun and fries (made in separate fryer) and daughter ordered grilled chicken breast with g free bun. Delish! For once, my whole family had a sandwich and fries, together! And we passed the three hour mark of not getting sick after a meal out! Terrific!
Their gluten free menu is online-- NOT the app, the website-- so it's worth it to do some research before you get there. You do have to explain carefully and/or talk with a manager about your needs, but once you do that, they pay careful attention. Dedicated fryers mean fries are safe, and the last time I checked their seasoning salt was safe too. (Always good to check online. Again, the servers probably won't know.) so are many of their sauces. Plenty enough options for the burger-lover. I always have a good time (once I get over that initial hump), and I haven't gotten sick yet.
Have eaten at several Red Robins, most regularly at the Palisades Mall location. WARNING !!!!!! Ate there on Sat 24th September and got horribly gluten poisoned. Still very sick two days later. Have filed a formal complaint and dealing with their Risk Management Department. Eat there at your own risk if you have Celiac Disease.
Excellent experience. Everyone was great about making sure we were not cross contaminated. We used to go to the RR location across town because it's closer but they have messed up on our fries twice now so coming to this RR is well work driving further.
Most Red Robin locations do great! But today was the 2nd time that we had a major scare over being given the wrong fries at this location. The first time was sort of the waitress' fault because she put in to use a GF bun but not GF fries & therefore I was given regular fries. Today 3 of us were GF & everyone except one got GF fries then the manager tried to lie & say they were even though we clearly saw that that order was the only one with seasoning like regular fries. We are DONE with this location & will be going to the Northlake location instead.
We ate here for dinner last night. Great food and great service. The server handed us an IPad to ensure everything was still gluten free that we order. This helped tremendously since the allergen customizer on the website hasn't worked well since they updated the website. We all had the bacon cheeseburger with gluten free buns and the fries without seasoning and ranch to dip them. Our only problem was the girl that brought out the food almost gave our food to the table across from us. Thankfully she didn't hand it or allow anyone to touch it since that group had just been seated and hadn't even ordered so they immediately told her it wasn't their order. Our daughter felt fine after and had no issues. Will be back to this location.

Gluten fiendly. Be sue to tell your server. And yes....they have a dedicated gluten free fryer so we too can enjoy bottomless fries or sweet potato fries. Lettuce wedge wrapped burgers thoughtfully come in an aluminum foil wrap for mess freeeating. Server was knowledgeable. Good service too!
They would get 5 stars except that their beef is not good enough to get top marks. Ordering it "well done" helps. The GF buns are absolutely great. Red Robin's will even sell their buns separately. Bottomless frech fries are marvelous, just marvelous. They will even cook you a batch without salt (in case you are watching your sodium intake). Heinz mustard available on request. The sweet potato fries are not GF.
I have eaten here a lot and never had a problem, one strange thing that happened though was that the manager told me the chips were not gluten free. I then asked if they were put in the same fryer as the breaded items and she told me that they were cooked in the special allergen fryer. Then I asked her if I could see the ingredients. When I read the ingredients , the chips contained no gluten at all. So basically they only tell you what they know for certain to be safe, but I had the nachos without the chili and had no problems.
With other customers saying that the bun was good, I think I may have gotten an old one. The texture was awful, and it was hard as a rock. I couldn't eat it. It was then hard to enjoy the meal because all I could think about was spending $12 for a hamburger patty because I had to remove the bun. We also had to get new fries because ours were ice cold. Won't be back.
I have not tried this location be. great service. delicious hamburger and fries. No reaction, but I am not super sensitive, so can not vouch for sensitive celiac.
Totally safe fries in an exclusive fryer!?! Amazingly soft gluten free buns???!!! An attentive server and reassurance from manager regarding celiac and cross contamination!!?? What more could you ask for. No reaction, delicious burger and fries, great experience!
We had a terrible experience here. We asked for a gluten free menu and was told that that they didn't have one, but "gluten free buns are extra" and the "Boca patties" were the only ones that were gluten free. I had read reviews on Find Me GF previously that said Red Robin did have a GF menu/options, so I decided to look online and see if I could find a gluten free menu. The Red Robin allergen menu webpage wasn't working, which I mentioned to the waitress when she came to take our order about 15 minutes later, saying that I was just going stick with water (if I don't know if there's definitely GF options when eating out, I don't eat because it's just too risky). The waitress then said "Oh I can go get you an allergen menu" Um, thanks. Not sure why we couldn't get one of those earlier, but okay. It took forever for the menu to get to our table and we still didn't have our drinks, so at this point, I just opted out of the meal. Maybe we just had a bad waitress who didn't know about gluten free/celiac, but we definitely will not be returning.
I'm on the fence with this place. For a while, my son and I had been eating their food, and I felt my needs were met. Tonight we ordered take-out, got home, and opened my burger to see seasoning all over my fries. That was deflating. I called to complain and was told the seasoning is GF now. I think I was given a load of BS because I'm not doing well and I'm sure this will last through the weekend. I honestly think the seasoning is awful, so having to eat nasty fries and unsure if they were even safe is just wrong.
Our server was awesome. Our fries were gluten free as were our burgers. The staff was knowledgeable about their food. We will absolutely be back.
I think our visit to this Red Robin was doomed from the start. We asked for a gluten free menu (we have gotten them from other locations) and they told us they no longer carry them to look it up on our phone. Gf menu was difficult to find from a phone. When ordering we talked to the server told him the order was gluten free he seemed knowledgable giving recommendations on which burgers would be gluten free and ordered a gf bun. Also questioned about the fries being prepared gf as each location is different and the server indicated yes but with no seasoning. Fast forward to the meal coming out and the burger came on a regular bun. Talked to the server and sent it back to be made again (not just switch out the bun). Meal came out a second time and appeared to be gf. Well apparently either the fries were not gf as suggested or they cross contaminated the burger because ended up sick.
The server took careful notes about my GF order, but while I was eating I found a fried onion straw in my food. They offered to remake it, but I had lost confidence that I could eat there without getting sick. Still giving them 3 stars because they handled it well. The server apologized and had the manager come over to apologize as well. They also credited us for the food I couldn't eat. I'm disappointed because Red Robin was one of the places I thought I could eat at when we were traveling.
Ate here earlier this week and have been ill ever since. in general, it was the one of the worst meals I have ever had. i ordered a bacon burger with fries. The gluten free bun was inedible. I asked for another one but it was just as bad. could not bite through it or cut through it. I tried to just eat the burger because I was starving. Big mistake!! It was dry and tasted like a soy burger from my elementary school cafeteria. Needless to say the manager comped our meal, but I will definitely not be back, EVER!!
Red Robin has improved by leaps and bounds in the celiac/food allergen arena. They now offer a seperate fryer for fries and thier Red Robin seasoning is supposedly gluten free. I'm still too scared to eat it, because it isn't labeled gluten free, but it is now listed in the safe to eat section of the food allergen interactive menu they offer. Oh, they have interactive tablets for thier food allergens menu so it makes it super easy to figure out what I can eat. also if you let the sever know it is an allergy not a preference, the kitchen will change gloves as well.
Food was cold, GF bun on my burger was dry, no offer of more fries. After the great burger and fries I had in Grand Rapids, MI, this was a big disappointment. I had talked up my great experience to friends who dined with us and their food came under cooked and cold.
Red Robin restaurants are very good about cross contamination. They have separate fryers for the fries and gluten free buns. I have celiac disease and I'm very sensitive, I've never gotten sick eating here, in fact the manager always comes out and talks to me about my order so that is reassuring. I love Red Robin!
When I asked for a GF menu, I was told to look at it on my phone or they would bring me a tablet. When I got the tablet, I was completely frustrated as it didn't show what the dish was made up of, pictures or even prices. I had to flip back & forth with the regular menu. Finally I was so exasperated I asked the waitress to suggest something since I am highly allergic. She said she couldn't, it was against the law!?! At that point, I just ordered the Ensenada chicken platter and asked if the chef could clean the grill first. She assured me it wasn't necessary because they didn't put any bread on it. I should have pushed the issue because I can almost guarantee my chicken was grilled near remnants of something with teriyaki sauce because I am now sick. Never again with Red Robin.
Our server Elizabeth said she was gluten free and made sure my meal was safe. Then the manager Stacy stopped by and explained that they take allergies very seriously and explained how all the fries are cooked in a special vat at the end of the counter and they are safe. Told me the seasoned salt is now gluten free as wel but l order the fries without the salt. Had a nice discussion with both ladies. They are the best!
Best bun I've found in a restaurant. I travel here all the time. Severs always know what they are talking about and are super attentive. And super cheap!!!
