This has been my go-to for Tex-Mex for years. They have lots of options, but most are not celiac-safe. Consider this a gf menu for those who don’t need to worry about CC. There have previously been some safe options, but the staff turnover seems to have made this more difficult. Chips used to be safe, but last time I went they no longer had a dedicated chip fryer. Be sure and ask LOTS of questions before you order. Staff are always friendly and do their best to accommodate, but the reality is that they don’t have the training that the staff had in years past.

Staff brought me "chips" that tasted like flour based. Then, after eating it brought corn based chips, but said they were the same chips. I know flour when I taste it. Also, got projectile vomiting in 10 mins of eating the queso and chips. But they said it must be quest. Unsafe, don't eat here!

They used to be very good at being celiac and GF. For the last several months, we've been coming home sick. We used to eat here once a week. Now, we are having to cut it out alt hotter. Very upsetting.

We love Tex Mex and have tried more atex Mex restaurants that I can count. We tried this one because it was advertised as having a GF menu. It does and the manager even came to our table to discuss my choices. I appreciated his attention to my needs. But the food is better at other restaurants. Service was good. Food was average. We will stick with Abuelos for Tex Mex.

I've eaten at the one in Colleyville and was thrilled when I happened across this one. I'd already eaten lunch but went in and spoke to the manager who showed me their gluten free menu and seemed to know a lot about cooking gluten free and not cross contaminating. He said that there are quite a few folks with celiac disease who eat there regularly. I am looking forward to eating in this very nice looking restaurant.

Chips are safe. They have a separate place to cook GF items. Manager came to table.

Out here for a conference and needed a fun place to grab a bite to eat and between the reviews and their menu, this one looked like a winner and it absolutely was. It’s clearly a place locals love and our waitress was knowledgeable on what could be made gluten free and what could not. Marked it as such on my order so the kitchen team knew to take extra precautions too. Definitely would recommend popping by. I had the Vallarta Del Mar and it was super tasty!

First time I ate here and ordered gf, it was good. No reaction. Second time- had a reaction. I imagine it was cc or maybe something got in the friers. Or maybe the queso? I don’t know. I ordered off the gf menu and ordered the same thing both times but only reacted one time. Third and fourth time here- no reaction.

We have been dining Gluten Free with celiac disease at Rio Mambo in south Fort Worth almost weekly since 2010. They have always been very careful and accommodating. Of course, some servers are more knowledgeable than others, but most servers do know how to take your order and mark it "gluten free" for the kitchen. They are updating their menu, so hard to get a hold of one of their marked up gluten free menus at this time, so ask for a manager. It has easily been the most reliably safe place for our family of 3 celiacs (1 who is very sensitive) to eat and not get sick for over a decade. Their regular table corn chips and the large rectangular ones served with some appetizers are all corn and are safe.
