River City Diner

Perhaps this place changed hands. Asked for GF menu was told they did not have one but they had options. Did not see any “options” on the menu so hopefully played it safe was a salad. I asked the waitress to please check with chef as I wanted to make sure the salad dressing was GF. She said it was her second day on the job and has no idea what gluten is!!

No dedicated fryer but separate GF menu, great bun and good food!

Was happy to find they offer gluten free buns for burgers. Last time I was here they brought one out for my breakfast as well.

Had the chicken salad on gluten free bun. Brocolli as side. Excellent food, excellent service. Would be happy to return.

I had the burger on the GF bun which was decent and only fell apart near the end. I chose bake potato as my side

No pancake or bread options for kids. Only omelets or meat.

Update: got glutened bad last time I had brunch here and had mild stomach ache the time before. Will probably not go back. Prior to that I had been several times and was okay. I have always ordered an omelette with a side of cinnamon apples and grits. One of the hostesses has celiac and was very helpful! On this last trip I got an omelette with ham in it rather than veggie and am wondering if that was the culprit.

River City Diner's Huguenot Rd location offers a gluten-sensitive menu! Although they are not a dedicated gluten free facility, they do their best to cater to gluten-sensitive customers. Most of their burgers can be ordered with an Udi's gluten free bun plus they have entree, salad, soup and sandwich options as well.
