I ordered a Mexican plate after consulting the gluten free menu. I got glutened…. Not super bad but definitely some cross contamination.

I took advice from a fellow reviewer and ordered the tamale plate with queso instead of chili, told em to keep the chip and tortillas....I got the melted Hershey squirts a few hours after eating😳😳🤔🤔I’m not celiac and am thinking it was bad tamales so imma give em a holler
they don’t have any gluten-free meals
No
Decent cheaper mexican food. I usually get a tamale platter with queso on top instead of the chili, with double beans instead of the beans and rice. Then I ask them to leave off the chip and the side of tortillas. There honestly is a higher chance of CC here since the staff are more into speed and such, but it is pretty easy to tell if something not GF was put on your tamales. If you go through the drive through, the food makers actually hear your order and get it right every time that way, since they hear you say leave off the chip and tortillas. Just check your meal before you drive away.
Yes
I eat here often and the food I order is gluten free. I always get the 3 taco plate with rice and beans. I think that’s the only GF item.

Manager knew how to print out allergen menu. Staff were accommodating but uneducated.
The enchilada corn tortillas are dipped in fryer oil so ask for it to be dry.

I went in, expecting there to be gluten free options because I saw a good review on here. I went in and the guy at the counter had zero idea what gluten was- said maybe I could eat beans and salad and laughed at me asking about gluten free options. We left without ordering.

Mexican restaurants can usually serve gf items without cross contamination. I was given a printout of gf items but not willingly. I didn’t ask enough questions ahead of time, and ended up not eating because all of the corn tortillas for tacos were cooked in the same fryer as flour. Staff was not helpful, and certainly didn’t care if they had my business or not. The gal I was with is not celiac, but said the food was not very good so I didn’t miss out. In fact, she left most of hers.
