Unfortunately it seems to be permanently closed. Always was quality, but fairly expensive, which might have proven to be their problem in generating enough business.

They were great... except they just closed recently for unknown reasons. They were saved once before, maybe there will be a second time.

I'm with another reviewer in that I want, so badly, to give Sophie's a great review -- especially because it is dedicated GF but, the quality just isn't there. Went on a Saturday and the place was really dead. The trash area was kind of icky and the person at the counter didn't appear to like her job much. We had a very good coffee but the cookies, meh. Too sweet and a strange texture. I got a quiche to go and it was quite greasy when I warmed it up the next day (good flavor, though). Maybe with a little extra care they can become truly great?

I hate to give a low rating to a dedicated GF place, but I feel very conflicted about Sophie's. Their menu items are quite good - sandwiches, pizza, etc. Their take-and-bake pizza is also very good. And the only GF place around where I have found GF pita bread. (And it's good pita!) But I am disappointed by their bakery items. The cupcakes are too dense, and the frosting is too sweet. The crumbles (buckles, not sure what to call them) have a soggy crust, sour fruit, and a not-sweet, not-crumbly top. The cheesecake is just disgusting. If you are looking for great bakery items, go to Sweet Ali's in Hinsdale. Much better quality and greater variety.

The absolute best food around! Their homemade desserts and sandwiches are to die for! And I LOVE that they have Mexican Coke bottles....the old fashioned Coca-Cola with NO CORN SYRUP!! My 2 daughters and I are in Heaven when we go because we can have almost every single thing they have, compared to maybe a couple choices at other places!!

Everytime we are in town we go here!!!

Please Please Please make this a chain and come to Kenosha WI!!!

We need more food options!

The pizza we had was amazing!! It was so wonderful to walk in and know that our son could order anything on the menu. We got some cupcakes and bread sticks to go and those were very tasty. We will definitely go back whenever we are in the area.

This place is a bit of heaven on earth. I love being able to walk in there and order anything I want! The baked goods are amazing and my absolute favorite item is the Thai Veggie Wrap. My goal is to try every item on their menu at least once!

This place is wheat free heaven. Food was hit or miss...bread rolls and bagel were ok not great, vesuvio potatoes were amazing, cupcakes were frozen which was a disappointment, crescent cookies were delicious, cream of chicken rice soup was not very good. Lots of vegan options too. Really great place overall. Hope they stay on business. Love love the hummus and gf pita!

My new favorite item is the gf vegan falafel pita wrap...amazing!!

Veggie burger is good too on pita bread. Pizza was really yummy too. I could eat here every day.

After using Find Me GF I stumbled upon Rose's I can't believe I've lived in Chicago for 3 yrs & haven't been here. My mistake. ROSE'S IS AMAZING!!! Other reviewers suggested a pita, I had the buffalo chicken wrap. The pita was so soft and not gummy. Brought home lots of delicious goodies chocolate insanity cake, apple croissant, big ole brownie, and an eclair. Another brilliant option dairy free for my lactose free girlfriend. We will be back!....maybe too much :))))

I had an awesome sandwich, and a terrible birthday cake. The frosting was hard and gross. Good for some a lunch or fresh bread, but avoid the big cakes.

I go here often and love that this place is dedicated to dietary restrictions. On the other hand I don't understand why it takes 20 minutes to make a plain sandwich... I try to come in on my lunch break but never have enough time. :(

Also, slightly expensive though I understand why I still think they could either add more to the portions or lower the price.

Everything is delicious! The pita bread is so soft and yummy - unlike usual gluten free breads. Also they easily accommodate other common food allergies.

Rose's makes wonderful breads, cokies, cakes, and pastries, and that's rating them alongside regular baked goods, not just gf ones. They also have a cafe with soups, salads, sandwiches, pizza, etc., also great. A lot of their goods are also dairy-free, nut-free, and/or soy-free.

I have loved Rose's since I moved to the Northside in 2009 but their service has gone down hill. From start to finish the last three times I have been in have been a disaster. Flavors are still spot on but it's hard to justify paying the prices when I rarely walk out feeling good about myself or my purchase.

Delicious gluten free sandwiches and meals prepared on the premises. We can personally vouch for the grilled chicken sandwich, the potato vesuvio, and the spicy chicken wrap. They also serve real looseleaf tea.

1. Freedom: everything is gf. 2. The people are very friendly 3. The selection is quite large and ranges from soup and sandwiches to a delectable display of pastry and other confections. Coffee is good and you can even get a loaf of bread or pitas to go. Feel safe here, but was not blown away by sandwich.
