Ate there twice with success. They chef said they prepare all GF in separate area. Strange though, last month they considered their fries as safe as they were done in separate fryer - but yesterday they said their fries were not safe for celiacs..... fruit was recommended as best side option.
Pricy but good! It felt good to have a "normal" meal!!
Always a pleasure eating here! I've gotten sick maybe one time in the thirty or so times I've eaten here. I'm celiac and they take great care of me. I can't complain! I ordered pepperoni pizza today, but my favorite is the buffalo burger or turkey lettuce wraps.
One of our go to places. Last two times we have been here, my 4 yr old celiac son has gotten sick. Definitely not safe.
Mac and cheese is amazing
It was already one of my top 3 favorite restaurants in the Houston area... And finding out how many gluten free options they offer, how knowledgeable and educated they are about cross contamination, and how delicious ALL the options are?? Heaven!!!
I get the bun-less grilled chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. I don't care for their GF bun.
My daughter who has celiac had a bad reaction to their gluten free pasta and sauce. There must have been gluten in the sauce or cross contamination. The manager told us that was the safest meal to order.
So yummy! Lots of items that are gf or can be made gf.
Great food, 5 stars for the quality but one off for the prices. Excellent gluten free menu with lots of dairy free and vegetarian options as well. The GF hamburger buns are actually good, though I think a $2 upcharge for it is excessive.
great food, bit a little pricey!
My must stop location when we are in the woodlands. I have celiacs and have never experienced problems with their food. Quick service and extremely good food. It's always a delight to go to a restaurant where there are gluten free choices all over the menu. Their pancakes and pizza are my favorite (not together of course)
Amazing service! I ordered through doordash (food delivery service) and made sure i specified I have celiac and needed a gluten free bun on my grilled chicken sandwich. They didn't mess up my order when i asked for no tomatoes etc and they even put a pre written note in my to-go-box stating my meal was completely gluten free! amazing! and the fries are yummy and have a dedicated fryer. please try it!
Ruggles Green is reliable for safe, gluten free meals. It's unusual to have so many options on a menu that I'm overwhelmed by the choices at times! I'm grateful to have this restaurant in both The Woodlands and Houston, where celiac awareness still seems to be lagging far behind other places in the country.
Best gluten free friendly restaurant in the Woodlands. Their pizza is my favorite and the carrot cake is the best I have had. I like that they place a card that says gluten free on your plate when they bring your food to the table. It's reassuring that my food was prepared correctly.
As the none GF person in the family I was skeptical. But the food is really good with typical type dishes all the way to the unique types you'd expect. They seem to understand GF needs and even have the GF plates labeled with a card when delivered so it's clear the chef/cook was made aware and didn't overlook it.
Spinach artichoke dip with pita. I haven't had this since my diagnosis three years ago. So delicious! Carrot cake! The cashier was wearing a shirt that said "OMG It's gluten free." When I ordered and mentioned I have Celiac Disease, he said, "Oh, we take that very seriously." The dishes-all very yummy-come out with a card that says it was prepared gluten free. And so many options! I could eat here twice a day for a week and still not try everything available to me. It is always difficult to travel with Celiac, but now I want to come back just to eat here again!
Probably our #1 favorite GF restaurant in Houston. They take it seriously! We've had gf pizzas, gf desserts, I love, love, LOVE the grilled fish tacos. Since I'm low-carb, I usually just get them w/o tortilla. NO ONE looks at you like you are from outer space because you need gf options. Very knowledgable staff, great service always. Excellent menu selection and I love that you can make almost anything they have "gluten-free". All thumbs up!
So nice to go to a restaurant that doesn't get scared when you announce you have a food sensitivity. Also great variety here. So if you had a gluten free pizza (which are amazing) one day, you can come back for a GF burger, pasta, tacos, salad, salmon, and the list goes on...day after day. Unlike other restaurants where the GF options are very slim. Food is always delicious and enjoyed by those with or without diet restrictions. The GF carrot cake is a must!!!
(UPDATE) I've eaten here almost once a week since moving here and I have to sadly say my last three visits have gotten me sick. Hopefully they can get this sorted out! Great experience and wonderfully prepared dishes. The meal came out with Gluten Free cards to reassure they received order correctly. We will be going back for sure, but like mentioned earlier we will not be having the pizza for the risk of cross contamination... But no worries they have plenty of other dishes to choose from.
Have eaten here twice and no issues. I had the burger with gluten free bun and French fries both times. The staff is very knowledgable about cross contamination and answered all my questions. I was told they do have a dedicated fryer for the gluten free food.
Amazing food! They even put a little card on my plate that said it was gluten free! The atmosphere is really good here and you can get almost anything gluten free! My brothers loved the food too, I can't wait to bring the whole family! Wonderful place!
My rating is only this way because of pizza cross contamination. Why go through all the steps and then slide it in the wood oven with regular pizzas and not have something on the bottom at least. Not safe for Celiacs. We love the quinoa Mac n cheese...some of the best ever. Burgers are amazing and fries are made in dedicated fryer. All good stuff, after hearing about procedure though I'm a bit hesitant to take my sons who have celiac here.
