Myself and sister are celiac and ate here safely. Low review is really more for food-Mexican food in Maui is what you expect (or less). Fish tacos over cooked. Margaritas weak. Chips not safe.

Ate here while visiting Maui. The food was great but the only reason for the 4 stars was that I don't think there is much care about cross contamination. Not 100% sure on that so didn't want to dock too many points. I am Celiac and the waitress assured me that the enchilada sauce and all the items involved in the enchiladas were naturally made without gluten. I trusted her and I luckily was never sick so she must have known her stuff. The chips most definitely are not gluten free as it's pretty obvious flour chips are mixed in so stay clear of those!!

Clearly marked gf options on menu and did a good job of accommodating my 20+ allergies. Carnitas was delish and wifey liked her chile relleno

Great place. Chips unfortunately not GF and no dedicated fryer. Waiter was very knowledgeable about celiac and the manager even came to check to see if some ingredients were okay. Great food.

Fantastic food! The carnitas were amazing! The menu labels GF items on the menu and their chips weren't listed as GF. Others commented they got GF chips but I didn't know to ask for them and I didn't miss them.

The food here was delicious until the waitress came over and told us they mistakenly gave us flour tacos instead of corn. Be VERY careful, your waiter or waitress is NOT the person who brings out your food and they were not able to keep the order straight.

They did a great job giving us gluten free only chips and we had the chicken tacos. All Tasted great. A little pricey but it is an island.

Delicious! So many gluten free options on the menu. Shrimp fajitas were great as we're veggie enchiladas. Also sides (rice and beans) we're gluten free.

Really great find. I have eaten there twice so far, getting chicken enchiladas at one meal and fish tacos for another, and I have felt great after every meal. A word of warning though: I see the listing for this place says they have a dedicated fryer and GF tortilla chips. That is NOT TRUE. Not only are their tortillas chips cooked in contaminated oil, their baskets include both corn tortilla chips AND flour tortilla chips. (This is not really advertised anywhere either.) I asked them if they could make me a safe basket of just corn tortilla chips, and they said no. So be careful of the fried food here, and stay away from the chips! But definitely try the corn flan for dessert -- so good!!!

Yummy! Server was very helpful with navigating the menu. The fish tacos were phenomenal. My daughter had pork/carnitas tacos and they were equally good. Would definitely recommend.

I got the Cesar salad with Grilled Ono. It was amazing, and I did not have any gluten symptoms afterwards. Not only were they understanding about gluten as an allergy but our waitress also took the time to find something my husband could eat as well (he has an onion allergy) I defiantly would eat here again!

Very good. Did not have a separate gluten free menu; but did have symbols indicating what is/isn't gluten free. I prefer hard shell tacos (which, they didn't have) but the soft shell ones were pretty good too! I recommend it.

We had high hopes but after extensive conversation about my husband being very sensitive we were served flour tortilla chips. mistake that will have days of consequences. my husband injested them after all we were being taken care of.

GF marked on regular menu. Dedicated fryer for chips- I was way too excited about this development. Eaten here twice and came out the other side unscathed both times. Food was good (however I do like a bit more spice and complexity, but I admit GF chips and easy GF ordering won me over). Servers were knowledgeable about GF during both of my dining experiences (one slow and one busy time). Food is a bit on the pricy side. Yummy margaritas (tried the top shelf and the spicy herbalist). There was live music this evening - good but a little loud for conversation with your dining companion.
