Another staple for me- we always stop and get a cupcake. GF cupcakes are kept in separate cake stand.

I know it happens anywhere but I’ve also never had a reaction. I’ve had their cupcakes 3-4 times over the past 5 years. Always delicious and no reaction!

I am shocked to hear that anyone had a reaction to Scott's cupcakes. This place is my Go-To dessert shop. Scott explained he does not have a gluten-free facility, but goes to great lengths to avoid cross contamination. I've never been disappointed. These cupcakes are heavenly.

while the cupcake itself was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere of the bakery was very cute, i do not think the cupcakes are celiac friendly as i got very sick within half an hour of eating them. the very friendly owner assured me that the gluten free cupcakes were prepared separately from the normal ones (with clean pans, bowls, etc), but despite these precautions something must have gone wrong because i blew up like a balloon 😔 for those who are gf but not sensitive to cross contamination, however … GO FOR IT!

I was staying a few hundred feet away so I was there multiple times during my vacation...
For background this place is very well known in town for having ONE cupcake. They make vanilla cupcakes with pink frosting, period. It was a big deal when they started offering a mini size. They were also doing quite well offering their ONE cupcake. So it was a surprise for me when years after having my first one i saw them on this app while on vacation. I walked in and there they were , in their own little areas, deliciously fluffy pretty gluten free version.
They were just as good as I had remembered. In fact I thanked the owner for having this option and he really seemed to care. He even said he preferred the gf one himself, he liked the texture, and he seemed very sincere.
The cupcake melted in my mouth as I ate it. It was obviously fresh and not just dethawed after being in a freezer for six months. The frosting was amazing. I'm actually happy I'll only be exposed to this place once a year because I'd be there all the time if it was remotely close to home. God help me if he opens a branch within an hours drive of me.
*I gave the shop five stars on range of offerings despite only having one option because everyone only has one option and quite frankly you only need one option when it's this good

There’s one item on the menu here: cupcakes. Regular and mini sized vanilla cupcakes with buttercream frosting. Typically I avoid any bakery that also makes gluten items but they have good protocols here, staff understand celiac and can explain their procedures, plus I did not get sick after eating. Yummy, very sweet treat and would be lovely for a birthday or special occasion. Go early because they sell out fast.

I was excited to find a gf dessert, other than ice cream and candy, from all the Ptown bakeries on the strip. I enjoyed the cupcake. A bit pricey but that's what you get with gf. I did not have any reaction from it.

A bit pricey, but a really good cupcake! I wouldn’t go out of your way to visit this place, but if you’re hungry for something sweet, go for it. I didn’t get sick at all afterwards.

I have really enjoyed ScottCakes over the years. I’ve even had them at special occasions that they have shipped. I am sensitive and have a contact allergy. I have not had any issues after indulging in them.

The best GF cupcake ever, but what cost? my celiac daughter got sick - cannot say for sure if it was the cupcake as we also ate lunch out, but after reading the review from Aug 2021 I thought I should post to just be aware and be careful.

Excellent cupcake!! As close to the real thing!
Pricey for a cupcake, but yum!!
This is the closest I have gotten to the definitely-not-health-food-totally-perfect-kid’s-birthday-party-sheet-cake-from-the-store sort of cupcake that I’ve tasted since being diagnosed with celiac disease. I feel like most GF baked goods are trying to bridge the allergy gap for multiple ingredients (dairy-free, egg-free, nut-free, sugar-free) but this just tastes like a freaking cupcake. Simple, buttery, sugary goodness.

OK vanilla GF cupcakes with lots of pink buttercream frosting.
Best Gluten free cupcake I've had! And I did NOT get sick at all!!!

Outstanding cupcake! Worth the trip!
Delicious gluten-free cupcakes ("Scottcakes") with fluffy but decadent pink buttercream frosting. The bakery is not gluten-free as gluten products are also baked/sold. However, I am very sensitive and did not have any reaction. The facility IS nut-free which is apparently a huge attraction for kids with nut allergies. What a great concept.

Amazing! The butter cream frosting was amazing and the cake wasn't dry at all! I'd go there again
My absolute favorite gf cupcake. They are SO tasty, bursting with vanilla. The buttercream frosting is to die for. I go to ptown every summer and I look forward to these cupcakes every year. To top it off, the owner Scott is an absolute sweetie.
You cannot say celiac friendly when the cupcakes are made in the same facility.
Plenty of cross contamination!

Gluten free cupcakes were very good - but they had a very small selection. There was only 1 left when I went.
AmaZing cake and icing. Very moist cake. Highly recommend!
