Very unsafe, gotten sick here twice. This place is horrible do not trust them if you're celiac.
Old reviews are a little outdated. Spoons is very well labeled and the employees generally understand how cross contamination works. Good food as well.
So many options for gluten free dairy free and vegan. And the menu is very clear to read.
Yes
It has been a while since I have been here, but please, stay away. They do not understand the concept of cross-contamination and I got sick here.
No
My wife and I ate here on our way through town one day. The staff was very willing to help my wife accommodate her celiac concerns. However after eating there my wife and I got very ill for the remainder of our vacation. I myself am not a celiac and still got sick. This is a place to stay away from!!
I love the gf options that spoons has. I wish they had more gf salads though. The garden salad is usually the only one and it is pretty plain.
Love the soups, not sure about cross contamination for sandwiches but they seem helpful and knowledgeable

I love Spoons! Everything is marked very well and they will get fresh ingredients for sandwiches and salads in the back. I prefer ordering inside rather than online because they have ignored order notes before and it's better to make sure they know it's not just preference. I haven't ever gotten sick from them but I've only ever tried their soups and a couple salads, not their sandwiches. I have had their bread on the side and it's a bit dry as usual, but their GF monster cookies are awesome and don't make me sick despite having oats.

I have celiac disease and I’m highly sensitive - Spoons is one of my top 3 go to restaurants in FoCO for 10 years! I feel very safe with the soups/chili that are labeled GF - it’s fun to actually be able to taste different flavors! (Usually there’s at least 4 different types of soup a day that are gf!) They have good gluten free bread. Here are my go to meals that I have always eaten here: soups, farmers market salad, and sandwich on gluten free bread! I always say I have celiac and they are careful with my food.
(My husband likes going there too because he can load up on all the gluten things while I can load up on all the gf things!)
