Unfortunately I had a horrible time here with my folks. I ordered an iced frappé and a homefry. The homefry was rock hard. Like a flat plastic disc, as well as burnt, flavorless, and mushy on the inside. My mother ordered the gf french toast, which was also mushy, flavorless, very clearly prepped wrong, AND cooked improperly.
The waitress was not at all educated about allergies, neither did she seem to care very much. She argued with us over how bad our food was, claiming that, “it’s usually cooked like that,” it is not, or at least WAS not, usually cooked like that, as my family and I have been here a few times. In addition, the wait staff argued amongst themselves, with the host, and the kitchen. The entire vibe in the restaurant was off.
Seems like a management problem, as historically this restaurant has been fairly good. ):

Not celiac friendly at all. I was very clear that I was celiac as soon as the waitress introduced herself. Ordered a burger on a GF bun and said the burger would need to be cooked on a clean surface. She told me it would be. 24 hours after my lunch I became incredibly ill.

Super yummy! Gluten free sandwich bread and bun/rolls they use for burgers. All sandwiches are gf. Fries share a fryer. She was super helpful and even toasted my bread!

I’ve missed having French onion soup bc most places use flour in the broth. Not here! They made sure not to put the bread in and was very knowledgeable about gluten allergies. Not to mention the French onion soup with some of the best I’ve had in a long time.

I trust this establishment. When they asked if I wanted my bread toasted they also told me that they have a separate toaster for gluten free. However, they did bring my order out with fries (not GF) once but the waitress quickly corrected it and apologized multiple times.
The bread is Udi’s and I have had sandwiches and burgers here (offer both bread and bun). You can substitute the fries for fruit or baked potato (or any other GF side, those are my go to’s)
The staff is amazing!

The manager was VERY helpful with my allergy. He said they recently had a server who was celiac and soy allergic and they became well educated on the issue. The place now has a dedicated toaster and gluten free bread as well as a dedicated surface for eggs and potatoes. Though there is ALWAYS a chance of cross contamination anywhere you go out to eat that isn’t a 100% gluten free facility, I felt confident that the management was well educated about the disease and saw first hand the side effects of contamination.
I ate here with my family. I had a gluten free gyro. I was super excited, as I never thought I would be able to have one again. It was delicious. My waitress had celiacs disease as well which made me more comfortable. I had no issues and enjoyed the food and conversation with my waitress. She even informed me of other gf places in the area

They wouldn’t even cook eggs in a separate pan, only on the shared griddle. I would NOT recommend this place for Anyone with Celiac’s especially when there are other places close by that are Celiac friendly!
No
My waitress knew nothing. Asked her if a pesto was dairy and gluten free and all she said was "idk". Bistro claims they're gluten friendly but the only thing on the menu about gluten is that they offer gf bread. You basically have to ask about the rest which took forever. Ended up with grilled chicken tomato and basil leaves on gluten free bread. Couldn't find a sauce or dressing that was gf and df so I went with salt and pepper. Definitely won't be back

We went for breakfast and the waitress was knowledgeable enough to tell me that the potatoes weren't fried on a dedicated surface. Also they keep gluten-free butter separate for their gluten-free toast! I thanked the owner and she told me they were working hard to learn to accommodate GF customers. Happy to give them my business to encourage it! Hopefully they'll develop a full GF menu in the future.
