I dined-in with friends, and asked the server if the sweet potato fries are gluten-free. She confirmed they were, and I happily ordered them, along with a build-a-burger bowl. I appreciate they put my dressing on the side in a cup as requested when our food was served. Before I could eat a sweet potato fry, another woman came to our table and asked if someone has a "wheat allergy". I said I did, and she apologized before saying that while they do have a dedicated gluten-free fryer, it was currently being used for all fried food, as the main fryer was down. And because of this, the fries may be cross-contaminated. I thanked her for letting me know, and she took the fries off the final bill. Sadly they sat in front of me for the rest of the meal, as my friends had ordered their own fries.

Update: I have experienced gluten contamination here on several occasions since my original review, despite explicitly informing the staff that I am allergic to gluten. (The tip is pre-charged, so there is no incentive for the wait staff to take you seriously. I was once handed a vegan menu and was told repeatedly that “I didn’t need a gluten free menu because vegan and gluten free are basically the same”🙄)
This restaurant used to be very safe until a few months ago… This location no longer even offers the franchise’s official gluten-free menu anymore.

I have eaten here many times in person with no reaction. They have a separate GF menu, but you have to ask for it. GF buns and a usually dedicated fryer. There have been times where the dedicated fryer was not working and they had switched to shared fryer. I recommend only eating her in person so you can communicate allergy needs to the server.

We ordered online. Have eaten at the counter in LA and it is my go to place. When ordering online it does not allow you to order specifically gf meals. I wrote it in the comments box as instructed. I have been sick all night.

My gluten free fries were put in a to go container directly on top of a regular sandwich for someone else. Discovered that cross contamination when I got home.
They have a good, dedicated gluten free menu.

Very easy to eat GF here and still have some options! Everything is customizable, which is great for both food allergies and picky eaters. Their fries are my favorite (and made in a dedicated fryer). The servers tend to be informed about GF needs. There is a separate GF menu, but I usually just use the regular build your own burger sheet and make a note at the top that I have a gluten allergy. I haven't had any issues, but you do need to know what to avoid (e.g. fried onion strings) to do it this way.
GF menu is robust with a wide variety of choices. Server knowledgeable and, best of all, food was ah-mazing.

Great with gluten free including tasty gluten free bun. Be aware the gluten free menu didn't have prices.
Love the chili cheese fries (which are safe as they have a separate gluten free fryer)! The HD Chicken sandwich is also really great on their gluten free bun. This place has a good amount of gluten free options so you can go frequently and mix it up each time by creating your own burger or, if you're like me and have favorites, it's also a good and safe place to go regularly and get basically the same thing each time 😊 I personally find it really nice to have a good local place I can safely eat at regularly.

Great tasting food! One option for a gf bun and it's typical and not soft and doughy, but they have a decent separate GF menu! Otherwise, get your meal as a salad bowl with all the fixings and toppings you can have. A big portion and filling. Not cheap, but food around here is anything but. However, I feel like it's worth it at this restaurant. This is not fast food. But they still are pretty quick. If you're a burger eater, or chicken tender fan (not GF), this is delicious food. Also, kitchen has a dedicated GF area so no chance of cross-contamination. Usually a very busy place. Regular and sweet potato fries are really yummy. Onion strings are to die for. Literally, if you're GF. But ate them once anyway knowing I'd be paying dearly later -.- !! Full bar. Kid friendly with kid-menu. Amazing shakes. Can't go wrong here. Mtn View location is a lot bigger than the Palo Alto one, with better seating areas and indoor temperature way more comfortable. Thumbs up!

Tasty burger. GF bun fell apart as expected, but hey, it's GF bread! I ended up using a fork with much gratitude for a change from "protein style." Use the GF menu to customize your burger. They list the sides which are safe. Burger was very good, fries were ok although others may like this style. Afterwards my villi were happy!
I've eaten here a few times with no problem at all. The burgers are very good (turkey or regular) and the fries are safe, too. Unfortunately, their tater tots aren't for some reason...the wait staff wasn't too clear on why...hopefully they'll add more options to their gluten-free menu at some point!
Pricey but really good burgers with a lot of meat and topping options. They offer a gluten free bun and their fries are cooked in a dedicated fryer.
I have Celiac and eat here frequently without a reaction. Delicious customizable food! Great staff! Make sure to order from the GF pamphlet so you know which items at GF.

Never had a reaction at this location. They have a gluten free menu and a dedicated fries fryer. You can make custom burgers and salads. Their gluten free buns aren’t the best, they fall apart easily, but it is pretty hard to find a safe burger joint so I don’t mind too much. Just place your order for a gluten allergy and make sure you double confirm everything will be cooked on clean/ separate surfaces.
Update 2024: The last 3 times I’ve eaten her or gotten to-go I have gotten sick so I won’t be coming back again. I’m not sure what changed as I order the same things and communicate the same needs/requests as before.

They are so amazing with celiac disease. Just let them know. They avoid contamination. They have a dedicated fryer that's on all the time now. Easily the safest burger you'll have.

You can build your own glutenfree burger! they have a seperate glutenfree menu and a dedicated glutenfree fryer. The brussel sprouts were amazing! I felt safe, but I am asymptomatic. Keep in mind that they also work with wheat buns in their kitchen. Prices are really fair, no upcharge for the glutenfree buns.
