Maybe they've improved since, but my experience earlier this year was not a good one. Only some of the staff seemed trained on GF and Celiac. Food tasted great but I had a bad reaction after.

If we could give this place 8 stars we would, staff is very well educated, and the food is to die for. They have fantastic options for gluten free dining and the experience is unique
I have been here many times. This place is expensive but the food is very good. They have recently changed a few things though. We used to get a lot of food so we would leave very full and felt it was worth the money. But now, they do not give you as much food so I was not full when I left. Since it is so expensive, and now we get less food, it makes me not want to go back.
Wow, what a great experience we had. My 11 year old daughter has celiac and has always loved the Melting Pot, but this time they outdid themselves. It's been about a year since we took her there (because it's not cheap), and they made a few changes that she was absolutely thrilled with. Three of us went, we asked for a table with two burners and a gluten free menu, and they were happy to oblige. When the first course came out (cheese), my daughter lit up. They now have g-free bread for her to dip in the cheese. Way to go! She was beyond excited. Then, at dessert, she got another surprise with g-free brownies to dip in the chocolate fondue. They made what was already a great g-free option even better. I just wish it was a little cheaper.
Amazing customer service and gluten free awareness from our waitress named Kelly!! I have never had such a wonderful experience at a restaurant! The owner of the restaurant came out to congratulate us on it being our wedding day and even have us a free glass of champagne! A must go!

Went for my birthday, first time. It was amazing! My husband and I both loved it - it was a fun and romantic experience, and the food was great. The menu was confusing, but the server was very helpful explaining it and providing suggestions. I am gluten free (celiac) and they have a separate menu to accommodate. The server was also knowledgeable and attentive to my diet, and since a lot of the food is prepared at the table (so you can see what goes into everything) I felt pretty safe. To be extra cautious in the kitchen, she confirmed the severity of my diet. In terms of food, everything tasted amazing. We had the cheddar fondue as a starter, shared an entrée (my husband loved the curry dipping sauce), and then ended with dessert. It is a bit pricey, but the food quality was really good and it was a great experience.
Had a wonderful 4-course meal. Our server was so helpful with our gluten free options that I felt completely safe. Even the drink menu specified gluten free. Their GIG training goes a long way towards putting me at ease too. The gluten free bread, brownies and pound cake were called out when she put them on the table, something I appreciate when a thing looks like it's gluten doppelganger. No one at my table was eating gluten, so dipping into the same mixture was always safe for me (the server made sure we understood that aspect). Also, the gluten eater didn't feel like they were settling for less with the gluten-free options. The price is high, but fair for such a lengthy meal and wine. When you make your reservation, plan on being there for something like 2 hours if you're having 4-courses. It was a lovely time and I still felt great the next day too. Recommended that you go with someone you trust since you cook raw things at the table - don't want some dingbat throwing raw meats around. lol
Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgable about gluten free. Since I was sharing with a gluten-eater, we had to only choose things from the gf menu. There were lots of choices, and with the chocolate fondue, some of the dippers included gf brownie bites (which were amazing), marshmallows, gf poundcake, and fruit. With the cheese, they serve whole grain gluten free bread. It tasted like buckwheat. Very flavorful. Definitely check it out if you want something special.
The Melting Pot goes above and beyond when taking care of the Celiac guest! We had the most amazing dining experience here. By telling the host we were Celiac when we made the reservation, they were completely prepared for us when we arrived. The waiter walked us through the menu, made all necessary changes to our meal choices and even suggested drinks that were gluten free. Fantastic service, wonderful food. I wish other restaurants were as trained and prepared as the Melting Pot!
It is a rare occasion when a restaurant can accommodate BOTH my gluten and soy allergy without issue and still leave me with plenty of options. Chris, our server, was knowledgable and made sure that everything was gluten and soy free. I was able to bring in gluten and soy free chocolate chips for my dessert and used a plate of fruit since the GF muffin had soy and the GF brownie shared equipment. They also gave me a separate pot to avoid cross contamination with my son's dipping. This was an amazing meal where instead of a limited amount of items, I was able to feast! Love MB Melting Pot!!
Staff was very well trained and I had a great experience. I know of other Melting Pots that offer more options such as having gluten free bread(we were offered chips with the cheese) and gluten free brownies. I did get the impression that we could bring our own and it wouldn't be a problem. The only course I was really left wanting more in was the chocolate one. Overall great experience in the end.
Have eaten here twice now. It's amazing- the food is prepared before you (fondue) and they bring out plates of dipables for your cheese or chocolate. Servers are very well trained on how to handle GF requests in both small and large parties. As long as they continue to hold this standard of care for allergies, I'll eat there every chance I get.
Wonderful food! Waitress was very knowledgeable, but did make the cheese with an ingredient I couldn't have. I had looked over the menu closely so I informed her as soon as she put it into the cheese and she automatically took it away and made a new one, so be aware of what it says you can and cannot have on the menu. LOVED the gluten free chocolate brownies that they gave with the chocolate fondue for dessert!
I feel as though the restaurant is well prepared for a great GF experience, but my waitress brought chocolate with graham crackers mixed in to our completely GF table. There's no telling how long my son an I, both celiac sufferers, will deal with the after effects. And, truthfully, $150 to feed three people when we have to cook it ourselves? I'm not feeling it. There are sooo many great GF friendly eateries in the St. Louis metro, there's no reason to settle!
Food was good and knowledge level was excellent. They even had GF brownies and cake. The manager happened to mention that he was GF. Our server said that they had completed additional training on gluten earlier in the day. Most of the items on the menu are naturally GF.
We went to the Melting Pot for our anniversary. The GIG training certificate is hanging in the lobby. The server asked us a few questions after we requested the gf menu. The service was great, we ordered the cheese fondue and she brought extra apples and veggies for dipping. She also explained all the ingredients in the sauces for our entrees and everything tasted delicious. Even though it is pricey, I would go back again for a special occasion!
This place is absolutely wonderful. They offer GF substitutes for all their courses. They have delicious gf bread that they bring out to dip in the cheese fondue and they have gf brownies for the chocolate fondue. The sever was very knowledgable about what I could and couldn't have on the menu. It's pricey, but totally worth every penny.
This is a great place to eat! The staff is very knowledgeable on the topic and you can prevent cross-contamination by asking for the server to make the same thing in two separate pots. (1pot for gluten-free, 1 pot for gluten) They have a gluten-free menu with substitutions so that you can enjoy all the dipping you want! Very popular in my family!
Melting pot has great gluten free menu - love having gluten free bread to dip in my cheese. Let them know when you make reservations if you are celiac and are dining with gluten eaters, you need another fondue pot. Fortunately, I was in a party of four an two of us were gluten free, so we shared and the other two had there own fondue pot. With gluten free menu, I can eat the chocolate fondue again - which is in my opinion the best part. Staff I came across was knowledgable which made a fun night out less stressful.
Absolutely horrible experience. I CANNOT believe this restaurant is GIG trained and approved. Yes, they give you a gluten free menu. This means ABSOLUTELY nothing when other people in your party are dipping into the same fondue pots with non GF foods. We spent over $100 for a meal for 2. First course, 2 cheese fondue pots brought to the table, both GF. Within seconds bread was being dipped into them by others at the table. They had no gluten free bread, but it wouldn't have mattered anyway. There was wheat in both fondue pots within seconds. The meat round. They bring you meats to cook in shared pots on the table, which again are gluten free. They bring you a gluten free plate of meats. All wonderful, EXCEPT, others at the table are dipping teriyaki and other gluten covered items into these pots. I skipped the cheese round, but how am I supposed to eat my meat? I was glutened by the meat round. You can't separate out a cooking pot when there are 6 people at a table sticking skewers from one into the other with wheat products. I was able to separate the dessert fondue into bowls, after everyone knew I was ticked and they should let me get some before they stuck wheat things into these. But by the time dessert was there, I was already glutened. AT home in pain from a very expensive meal I wasn't able to eat much of, which still made me sick. NO WAY is this place celiac friendly. GIG needs to research the way this place works because there will be lawsuits if this continues.
I love this place. I have been 5 times within the last year. The staff is so knowledgable and the manager is great. I feel like I can eat like a "normal" person here. The recent addition of GF bread, brownies, and pound cake has only made it better!
the food was excellent! however, they cross contaminate the food when they have you share a plate with the person your with that is not gf. They also had us share the same cheese that did have gf beer. however they informed me that they didn't know where the gf bread was and think they are waiting on a shipment. they gave my husband regular bread to dip in there. that also cross contaminate the cheese. i might as well have taken a bite out of bread. i have a wheat allergy and swell when i eat anything wheat. gig certified? i think they skipped a lesson!
