I got cross contaminated at this place. I was very specific as always while ordering, the waiter acted like he knew what he was doing but unfortunately I was not so lucky. I will not be returning!
I really love the brown butter and mizithra with the GF pasta but I've eaten at this location twice and both times I was sick! I always try to make a point and tell them I'm sensitive and I don't know what it is, but I get sick every time.
I was really excited to eat here, but I got sick from cross contamination. I ordered the chicken Alfredo off of the gluten free menu. It was incredibly delicious & I about died over their Alfredo sauce. Maybe I just went on a bad day, but it was around 3 on a Wednesday when there was no crowd.
I've been to the Orem mall several times and never been sick and I'm quite sensitive.
Their Alfredo sauce is to die for. Even if you just get the Alfredo sauce to go, I've used it on my own pasta and bread. Delicious!

The gluten free pasta is alright, a little chewy (as it is with most gluten free pasta) but amazing when coupled with their sauces. I got the managers special, half meat sauce, half mizithra cheese and I loved it. It was so nice to have a meal that I've had probably a hundred times in my life that I had missed. And the spumoni was amazing as usual.
I orders a gf pasta to go. It was a great pasta but the portions suck. I should have ordered two but its kinda pricey. It was great tasting regardless.
Both myself and my 9 year old daughter are gluten intolerant and we found the staff knowledgeable. We did not get sick. The food was pleasant, not incredible, but pleasant. I had noodles, sauce and italian sausage. She had alfredo with chicken in it. We also had the ice cream for dessert. Overall, a nice experience and we would eat there again.
Although they have a GF menu, the meal seems incomplete without a nice crusty bread (there are many great options they could stock, especially from Mariposa Bakery). The same problem with the pasta, only corkscrew pasta, no matter the dish, which makes the clam's linguine somehow not work. Again there are multiple GF pastas available on the market that they could stock. The atmosphere is festive and the service very good, if they update to a fuller GF menu they are all set. For now, too limited and GF seems like an afterthought.
I was really disappointed by the service, the gal who seated us said I had to go to the front desk to get a gluten free menu, it is already on the menu... Then, it specifically says that cross contamination may occur. Fortunately I don't have celiac's so I just gambled that I would feel ok. So far so good. Service was terrible and I would not recommend if you have celiac's!
They don't have a lot of items to choose. The waiter was very helpful and the food was good.
I'm always afraid to have gf pasta in a restaurant because of cross-contamination possibilities, but we ate here last week anyway, and it was delicious! The menu is clearly marked and my server and the hostess were both very knowledgeable about what was gf. My server even verified the cooking process to ease my mind. I was on vacation and did not want to get sick. It was simple, but yummy food. Best of all, no sickness later. And they give you ice cream for dessert. GF of course!
We ate here for a team banquet while in town playing on the outdoor ice rink at Raley Field in Sacramento. The wait staff was very knowledgeable about gluten issues and explained how they make their GF pasta away from the other dishes. They even brought me a salad and explained that it was made without exposure to croutons. So far, no reactions. I took Glutenease before the meal, so that may have helped eliminate minor cross contamination, if there was any. Now I have another option to PF Changs when in Sacramento. Good job OSF.
I just tried this place tonight and i thought i was doing well by eating off of the gluten free menu but i guess that wasn't good enough and now i am having a bad reaction. I had the house salad with balsamic vinaigrette without croutons. And some cheesy gluten free pasta. I don't know where i went wrong or someone may have made a mistake in the kitchen. Or maybe i had a bread crumb...i don't know but i don't believe i can eat here again.
They have a gluten friendly menu, not gluten free. My server informed me. They cook the pasta and broccoli in the same water as the regular pasta. not good for someone with an allergy or celiac. I was wondering why I was getting sick and couldn't figure it out.
No complaints from a gluten perspective, but I definitely wouldn't want to eat here again given how bad and dull the food was. (I had the baked chicken.) My dining companions had soup that seemed as though it might have come out of a packet, and shouldn't the cheese on pasta be Parmesan? What it was instead was something fake tasting. Really pretty dreadful. Even BJs have better pasta (and that is not saying much: I definitely don't recommend BJs!). Sorry not to be more positive.
I had been at other locations of the Old Spaghetti Factory and was able to order items. But this location does not have enough ventilation so for a person who is allergic to wheat it is impossible to eat there. Just sitting at the table before eating I had an allergic reaction just smelling the bread products. I had to rush out in only about 2 minutes of sitting. My asthma is triggered by wheat in the air.
I really like the old spaghetti factory. They have gluten-free items on a portion of their menu. Their gluten-free pasta is pretty tasty, and I like that I can have most of the sauces. A great deal for a three course meal, with the starter salad and dessert. The Decour is dark and full of large pieces of furniture and lighting fixtures. The service is good too.
Their gluten free Pasta w/ Browned butter and Mesithra cheese is good...or get manager's favorite: half with meat sauce. My biggest disappointment is that they will no longer make the Appetiser: Broccoli with Mesithra cheese gf. I hope management at headquarters reads this.
I went with s huge group of people. I love OSF but this is the first time I'd been with gluten allergies. The server gave me info on some GF choices and they have a nice GF menu. I got the Mizithra cheese and brown butter with GF pasta. Was very yummy. I ordered a side of chicken breast that was on the GF menu. I ate it but thought it may have had a light bread batter, looked like skin though. When I got the bill it said breaded chicken so I'm not sure now. Hadn't had any problems though. Just be sure to check, especially when they are busy.
Ate here about 6 months ago. Staff was nice and seemed knowledgeable but food was mediocre and had a stomach ache after. :(
Went there last night and requested gluten free mac and cheese for my 3 year old daughter and made it very clear to the waitress that it was an allergy issue. She's been throwing up all day, so I guess they don't care or they're just not careful about contamination. Won't be going back, that's for damned sure.
The few times I have eaten here for business meetings I have been fine. The pasta they use is alright, but not something to write home about. The staff is knowledgeable and does a good job at helping out their customers. 4 stars only because it's chain restaurant Italian, but for what it is it is good.
Mediocre food but they have a GF menu and food comes out with a flag, so you know your getting the right meal. I'd go across the street to Cheesecake Factory or Roy's if you are in the neighborhood, but if you have a GF kid looking for Mac n cheese it works. Staff is kind.
