I know there have been reviews complaining about the service here, but I couldn't have been happier with our busy. Server was very knowledgeable, checked with the kitchen on a few items to make sure and seemed informed about cross contamination. Best of all, did not get sick afterwards!! Will definitely be going back.

Good food, mediocre service: lots and lots of great, organic and fresh GF options
I have been there twice. once fot lunch and another for dinner. lunch was easy by getting one of their many salads and a juice. For dinner I g ot pizza which was diffult to cut and eat due to the thin, cracker-like crust getting tough. it was otherwise tasty. I want to bavk for brunch.
Went tonight for the first time. There is a gluten free symbol on menu for safe items.
Pluses: gf (celiac safe) items - starters, all salads, meats, pizza (not celiac safe--see below), reasonable price point for the area, fresh and local (and organic) foods, homemade gf pizza dough, female manager (michal) has celiac.
Negatives: server not very knowledgeable, no gf kids items, gf pizza cooked on same oven surface, homemade veggie burger made with bulgar wheat
PS try the duck - yummy in my tummy!

I took a chance on the Plant Cafe in that it only had two reviews, and I’m so glad I did. My initial plan was to go to Amy’s but that was located in a terminal that would have required going through security again. As it was, I had a long walk from my gate to this place. (It would be nice if the restaurants that cater to food allergies would be more centrally located in the airport. ) There were only a few GF options, but I was able to find something. I had the teriyaki bowl. It was very good and a generous portion. This will definitely be my go-to at SFO in the future.

I’m so glad I found this place after searching around SFO for safe food for so long. I had planned to go to Amy’s but didn’t realize it was behind security in another terminal so I was stuck with less than favorable options in Terminal 2. There are to GF options on the menu —teriyaki bowl and quinoa bowl—cooked to order. I had the teriyaki which tasted really fresh and healthy. Also there are fresh smoothies and juices. One star downgrade because if they offered GF buns there would be so much more selection.

Usually grab some to go items before heading on a flight. No issues. Although the staff seems like they could care less.
Not sure whether it’s celiac-level GF, but it has a number of GF options, including GF cookies on the top shelf of the bakery case.
Have the green curry w chicken every time I fly from terminal 2, and the protein smoothie. Not a ton of options in this terminal so this is my go to. There are blueberry muffins that look good but I have never tried them- they seem to change gloves w each customer. I am a sensitive celiac with no issues.
