The Ranch at Las Colinas

They no longer have a gluten free menu. Kitchen staff also very unsure about what has gluten in it. Not sure why but they said their butter has gluten. And the butter is in everything. I don't think I'll come back here again. They used to be very good about gluten free.

*update12/22: much less gluten friendly than my previous experience. No longer have a gluten free menu, no items marked. I got steak and mashed potatoes after server went back to kitchen to confirm potato’s were still GF.

2019: I would expect everything here to be cross contam. That said, they do have a GF menu the manager printed out for me. The menu is a little confusing. For example, the Queso is listed as GF but you can’t have the corn tortilla chips with it. Or can you? Not sure. It’s listed as “Queso. No corn tortilla chips**. At the bottom of the menu the “**” just says all fried items are fried in the same oil. Why put this “**” if it is “No corn tortilla chips.” Maybe they are trying to say, you can have the chips, but they were fried in the same oil. Either way, it should say: “Queso (without chips)” or “Queso and corn tortilla chips** (with the cross contam explanation at the bottom). I assumed the tortilla chips were not GF and didn’t eat them.

I’m emphasizing this because a lot of the GF menu had these confusing explanations.

That being said, the food is amazing. All steaks are GF and our steak was delicious. Had it with mashed potatoes which were also GF. The GF menu explanations need work but the food is delicious.

Awful experience.... They brought my food when everyone finished eating and when I tested it with Nima and it came with gluten... Awful, awful

The manager came over and spoke with me and we discussed preparation and having Celiac. They understood precautions. I had a wonderful steak and mashed potatoes and veggies. No issues.

Waitress was knowledgeable and had the skirt steak salad which was delicious! Didn’t test boundaries on celiac friendly and opted for a safe choice-salad.

I went here for a work lunch and expected to have to explain to the waiter what I needed. As soon as I told him I needed to go over my options with him as I needed gluten free, he immediately went and got a gluten free menu. For the most part quite a few things are GF with a few changes. Food was good and service was good - especially for the busy lunch hour.
