I ate here yesterday, I loved the Asian chicken wraps before I got diagnosed with Celiac. So I decided to try it again after 6 months of being GF. I was AMAZED at the tortillas that are GF. OMG SO GOOD. I even called the manager to see if I can buy some to take home. Unfortunately you can't. They get it from a distributor that makes them strictly for Togo's. But the manager told me that if you inform the staff that you have celiac to also make sure you let a manager know, if you request new gloves, or them to clean the area before they make your food they gladly will. The only set back was when I ordered the Asian chicken wrap I told the lady I was celiac and had to be GF, well she gave me the GF wrap but didn't take out the croutons, I took it home and bit into it THANKFULLY I only had a minute amount and it only made me throw up one time (but that was later in the evening). So when I called her to let her know what she did she was very apologetic and made me a new sandwich right away. FOOD FOR THOUGHT: One thing I have learned, just because you have Celiac Disease doesn't mean the rest of the world automatically knows what it is. I didn't even know what it was before I got diagnosed. So you have to be patient with others that are unfamiliar. You cant give a bad rating just because one of the Employees didn't know about Gluten. Its your place as a Celiac to help others understand the importance of taking the precautions when working in a food place with a celiac as a customer.
My experience here was fantastic! I not only LOVED the GF wrap but the customer service was amazing.:) The server changed gloves & got a new knife from the back while preparing my wrap ... without asking. And I'm on crutches (recent foot surgery) so the server carried my tray to a table, pulled out a chair for my bad foot, refilled my water cup & threw away my trash ... all w/out adking! The the manager held the door for me when I left. I'll be back!!!
had a gf menu but no gf bread as advertised, person who took my order told me they had gf wraps. but showed me the wrong ones, manager said oh its these wraps, but there so small you don't really wanna do that. so I walked out with a salad because I didn't have time to go anywhere else
They have GF wraps. They are like mini sandwiches. I ate two...but I was hungry. If you are UBER sensitive I don't know that you would be happy here. They are very nice and asked a lot of questions about gluten intolerance....they had no clue whether the deli meats had gluten or that they could even have gluten in them. It wasn't busy so I could make sure surface was clean...wrap was about 3.5 out of 5 but gave them 4 stars cause it was nice to have a sandwich and they were nice people.
They refused to make me the vegetarian sandwich on the gluten-free wrap. I had to have chips and a drink. They also did not listen the first time I asked for a gluten free wrap and started making it with a regular wrap until I stopped them. I will never go back.
I went there and was ready to order their a sandwich in their gf flatbread. I was told that they no longer offer gf flatbread so I had to settle for a salad. The service was slow and the salad wasn't chopped. Whole slices of turkey, etc and they don't give you a knife to cut up the ingredients. I won't be going back.
I stated that I had a gluten allergy and asked if a wrap could be prepared separately. All three employees looked at each other in confusion for a while, and one held up a gf tortilla and said we have this. May be ok for people with mild sensitivities but seem clueless about cross contamination.
The gluten-free wraps are pretty good. I'm glad to have a deli option again. They use the "mini" sandwich amounts of fillings, overall making it pretty small. Larger appetites may not be sated by the portion size. All staff has changed gloves, knives and kept my wrap on paper wraps while making it. Some sandwich artists are better at the wraps than others by a large margin.
I called to ask about GF menu items & the employee stated they have one item available, but it is not prepared separately from other gluten items. Since cross-contamination is very possible, I wouldn't suggest this place for anyone with gluten allergies or celiac.
I recently tried the GF wrap and it was pretty good. I was forewarned that it only came in "mini" size portions, so I got a sandwich "bowl" and built it myself at the table. The wrap itself wasn't groundbreaking, but it didn't really detract, either. Overall good for having a deli sandwich experience again. Staff was extremely friendly. Changed gloves & was careful about cc. Will come again.
I love this TOGO's! Right by my work, I've come here for years but had to stop when I got diagnosed and starting eating GF. This staff is awesome- every time you order a gluten free wrap, they stop and change their gloves, and lay out fresh paper over their area to ensure no cross contamination happens. GF Wraps are pretty good, they tend to break but I can live with that when I'm hungry. I love that all their meats and cheeses are GF except meatballs. Broccoli Cheddar soup is also good! I will be back- thanks TOGO's!
This place apparently has gluten free tortillas for wraps but when we asked about gluten free options, the server didn't know about it. After I ordered a salad we saw a small sign on the menu board about the tortillas.
It was ok. Not fantastic. And the wrap barely wanted to hold itself together.
