Server was very put out when my wife who is celiac ordered gluten free. The chain is gluten friendly in concept, but the local execution leaves something to be desired.

My daughter who has Celiac absolutely loves tom + Chee. However this location was not as good as the previous ones we have been at. The staff was alright, but initially told us that it was too late to make a GF grilled cheese, even though they were not closing for another 35 min. We must have looked upset and annoyed because they then told us they would actually be able to make a GF grilled cheese. GF grilled cheese is amazing though- best ever!

I love their gluten free grilled cheeses, I haven't gone when it has been super busy so I haven't experienced them telling me that they couldn't make it gluten free. Every experience I have had has been good, I go there about every two weeks.

I became very sick after eating here. I would recommend you stick just to the soup if you are a Celiac

I have gone it to receive conflicting information on what is safe. On my last two visits when I tried to order a GF sandwich I was told it's too busy to make GF!! So no sandwich and no longer interested in their lack of care for the GF community.

Same experience as others reviewing. Went at 3pm and they were doing a large catering order and had to ask a manger if they could do gluten free or not. So I wouldn't make a special trip when you can't be guaranteed of getting something you can eat.

The last two times I was here I was made to feel uncomfortable with my gluten free request. The first time I was told they were probably to busy to pull someone off the line to make my sandwich. The cashier had to go 'ask' if they could accommodate me. I felt singled-out and embarrassed that now everyone in line knew my allergy and my order. Plus, I was now holding-up the line which also made me uncomfortable.

The second time, I was also told by the cashier that they stopped the gluten free offering for the time-being because they were to busy. There was no one else in line this time, but had two people waiting for food. They later told me they would make my sandwich but I had to wait an additional 20 minutes. Both times I wasn't sure if I had to leave with no meal.

I am grateful to have a restaurant accommodate my allergy (I have celiac), BUT, if you are advertising that you serve gluten free, please do not make us feel like #^+% when we drive 40 minutes just to have a sandwich like a 'regular' person. It's hard enough....

Used to love going here for lunch they had a lot of options. Last time I went I was informed that they could do gluten free bread but they could not prepare and cook it separately anymore during the lunch rush. They said that they couldn't pull someone off the line to cook my food so I left hungry and very disappointed.

CHANGED REVIEW **UPDATE**on 3/18/16 I ate here and ordered as I usually do and my food came with crackers on the tray. Told them I could no longer eat anything due to possible CC the cashier seemed confused and asked if this was an allergy. I said I have celiac so yes I can NOT eat gluten hence gluten free bread. The owner the proceeded to dump the soup back into the communal soup bin on the line. I then watched them make me a new sandwich which they made from communal ingredients as well as cooked my gluten free sandwich on the gluten grill. When she brought me the sandwich I asked if that was actually what I was seeing instead of them using fresh toppings from the fridge and dedicated ingredients, and she said yes. I then told her I couldn't eat that and that now I wanted a refund as I was sure I wasn't safe eating here. I then spoke to the OWNER Seth and asked why if an order is ordered with gluten free bread that it isn't prepared as corporate told me it should...in a dedicated area with dedicated equipment and topping from the fridge. He explained that they ask if it is allergy or preference now because people who order it by preference were complaining it was taking too long to cook. I explained that isn't the process corporate said should be followed and secondly I was NOT asked allergy or preference. He didn't seem to care, he seemed to care more about catering to the FAD dieters. I was then offered a DONUT gift card for my inconvenience. I was appalled and ended up leaving with my refund. CAUTION TO ANY WITH CELIAC EATING HERE! I have a call into corporate. TO NOTE...if they follow protocol then why when I sent it back and informed her this was "an allergy" did they still make it with NO precautions.

Great comfort food is difficult to find in GF. Eating their chunky tomato basil soup and toasted cheese was a heavenly experience. Delicious and truly full of flavor. My husband ate the gluten bread and loved having four choices of bread from which to choose. A great experience for both of us!

NO GF BREAD. Had 1 soup that was gf. No gf bread, said they’ve been out for a while even though it says gluten free options on the board. Would give 0 stars

When ordering, we were told that they were out of gluten free bread. I asked when they would have more because my 18 year old celiac was looking forward to a good grilled cheese and tomato soup. The guy in charge (their manager maybe, he didn't offer that title, but was aware of their delivery schedule) told me he was absolutely certain that their rye bread was gluten free.

I (too nicely, probably) let him know that wheat, barley, and rye all contain gluten and there is no way his rye bread is gluten free. Had we been new to celiac disease, we might have believed him. I will be emailing their corporate office to let them know more education is necessary. Tread caredully here. I now do not trust their gluten free grill...

I have celiac & went for lunch today. They had a new employee make my sandwich which I was okay with as they too need to learn at some point. The manager watched and help when needed. This was my second visit and what I witnessed today confirmed my trust in them at the Kennesaw location. The employee went to reach for something outside of the designated GF area, the other employee noticed before he could touch anything and cross contaminated... he explained to him why and to immediately change his gloves. I really appreciated that & the explanation to the new employee of why! I will be back
