TL;DR was a great place for a work/nice dinner, my meal was boring, but very safe, and that was extremely grateful!
Went here for a work dinner, which can be rough because you can’t pick the place and have to navigate Celiac in front of co-workers. They do have GF pasta, but I usually avoid because I’m skeptical if it will be made in the same pot as regular pasta or with the same sauce laddles/tossing bowls. I figured fish or steak with potatoes/vegetables might be safer.
I told the waiter I had Celiac/no gluten, and he did not know what gluten was. That made me nervous, but he went and chatted with the kitchen and said they could make me something but they mashed potatoes had gluten in them (?). I said I would be happy with anything as long as it was GF and picked out a fish. He wasn’t the clearest communicator (kind of joked a lot) so I was still a bit worried, but when my meal came out I could tell the kitchen took precautions because it was a sauceless piece of seared fish and some sautéed vegetables, and the waiter assured me it was GF. It was simple, but flavorful enough and most importantly, I felt very safe. My meal was expensive, so if I was paying myself I would have been disappointed getting something kind of boring, but my only priority was attending this dinner and not getting sick, so I was super happy!
They had a few desserts which seems GF, but I didn’t try.
