I am celiac and enjoyed the peel and eat shrimp (warm) with corn on the cob and grits. There was also baked fish as an option. I loved the Atlantic GF Hazy cider - not too sweet. I’m not from here so I don’t get that in the Midwest. The server was knowledgeable and I did not get sick. Great vibe overlooking the water. The only reason I rated 4 stars is because I would have liked to see the GF items marked. Would definitely go back!

They were nice and willing to check things but there is nothing really that is gluten free or accommodating and they can’t guarantee that there will be no cross contamination. We will see if I get sick. They assured me that they were taking precautions. You can get the salad and add meat.

We had steamed shrimp with no seasoning and a hamburger with no bun and cole slaw. Our waitress said she did not think the shrimp and grits were gluten free, as they are made with chicken broth that she thought was not gluten free. Ask for freshly steamed vegetables with no seasoning, as they are usually made ahead and seasoned.
Moderately priced fresh local seafood. Can always opt for the grilled or blackened fish (any one). Favorite salad is the shell (minus the shell of course!) with the blackened mahi or Tuna. Not as well versed as their sister restaurants in allergy prevention but they are learning. (Local visitor)
We had the seafood boil without seasoning and I ordered a side of grits--was a fabulous dinner and very fresh! Would definitely recommend!
No gf salad dressings. The crab legs were over cooked and soggy. The shrimp and grits were pretty good. Skip this place.

Not great, was ok but nothing special. There are too many other great places to eat here so why bother with this place
No GF menu and the waiter (Monday night, about 7:30 pm) had NO CLUE about gluten. I ordered a salad with grilled shrimp (took a chance) - it was ok but certainly not stellar. Eat at your ken risk!
Awful, waitress had no idea what gluten was and told me I could have salad after asking a co-woker. When I told her I was interested in shrimp and veggies she did check with the chef. Overall the food was not tasty and extremely disappointing.
My husband and I just recently visited Savannah. I was feeling really limited in my dining options until I came across Tubby's. Everyone was so knowledgable and helpful. Our waiter broke down the whole menu telling me what I could eat and then they made sure my food was cooked separately. The food was so good and they had great entertainment. We ate there twice during our 5 day trip!!
