Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint

Before it changed management, it was the safest place to eat in town. Afterwards, I got sick every time. I miss my pizza place 😭

Perfect for Celiacs who want pizza. They ask if it's for an allergy or choice!! Separate sauce which is located behind the other sauce so no dripping and cross contamination. They clean the counter and put on fresh gloves. They pull your topping choices from new containers in the cooler. They use separate utensils and I have never had cross contamination or been sick!!

Truly exceptional. This is one of the few pizza places I've felt comfortable eating. They are meticulous with handling your pizza. They ask you if you have an allergy, if so they wipe the work space clean, change their gloves and use separate ingredients. They also clean their cutting utensils. Your pizza never touches the oven surface. Pizza is crispy and good. Five stars.

Absolutely love this place!! Perfect lunch spot for celiacs or anyone with a gluten intolerance. They get separate toppings, clean down the counter, change gloves, and many more protocols to prevent cross contamination once you say gluten free. Their menu is clearly marked, and the crust is great!! The ingredients taste super fresh! They are consistent and every person who has helped me has been trained to a t.

They have a whole procedure they teach all of their employees. Regardless of how long it takes; they change gloves, wipe down the counter, get new toppings, and announce that it's gf to prevent contamination. They also have daiya cheese for dairy allergies. Very impressed!

Great dinner while visiting Highpoint University. Counter service and great efforts with safety precautions. When we told them it was for celiac, they wiped down all counters, changed gloves, and pulled out all fresh topping containers from inventory. Pizzas were really tasty on thin crisp crust. We tried the chicken bbq and margarita pizza. They also had David’s GF brownies!

Stopped by after a visit with my kiddo to the Discovery Place nearby. Located in a strip mall. Fairly quiet when we arrived and the person helping us was super nice. He immediately said he’d change gloves, offered to grab ingredients from below, and was very helpful. They offer gf crust and gf cauliflower crust. I had gf and it was crunchy and tasty. Good spot for a faster bite to eat.

January 13, 2024--tried this place based on the high recommendations on this site. Our review echoes what's been said before: staff changed gloves and followed allergy protocols. Our cheese and pepperoni came from under the counter and the staff communicated well as the food passed down the line from person to person. No ill effects afterwards. Good taste too--similar to another place we enjoy. The kids had finished their pizzas before we even got back to the hotel.
