My go to place as a celiac. Good choices. Variety. Hard to beat.
Pizza was good and management was great!
Pizza is really good and you can now order a burger with a bun and the bun is actually good! Don't waste your time with cheeseburger in paradise for a good gluten free burger with bun. Their bun falls apart before your first bite. This bun is soft, but has something to it!
my son loves the gluten free pizza the gluten free chicken with spinach is great
They do have gluten-free but I also have to be dairy - free. The menu advertised steamed broccoli and then it came smothered in butter :-( They were able to bake a pizza shell from Venice Bakery so I could have some of that GF "bread" with my meal. You really need to make sure that the server understands your needs.
Best GF pizza ever. They staff is super knowledgeable, they are actually trained about celiac disease and need to take a test. Tonight I was skeptical about the pizza because everywhere else is terrible. They explained they recently changed crusts. This one is not the typical thin cardboard. It actually has a crust you can hold and for the first time in a very long time I felt like I was eating a normal pizza. I also love that they include the GF pizza in their carry out deal. Buy 1 get one for 5.00. And compared to other places pizza was larger and less expensive. The manager came by to see how I liked my pizza and explained they have a dedicated area in the kitchen to avoid all cross contamination. Server was even on the ball she boxing my pizza. She held the container while I placed the pizza inside to avoid any chance of contamination. I will def be getting my pizza from here. The GF menu is a little limited but to know I can eat their safely out weighs everything else.
I ate gluten free pepperoni pizza and got horribly sick. I am not going there again.
They were amazing with informing me of how they prevent cross contamination. The staff was extremely friendly and well informed. The gluten free pizza is by far the best I have ever had!!!! It was like being able to have real pizza again!!!! Luv it❤️
I'm updating my review to reflect how impressed I am with this restaurant. The gf pizza is fantastic, actually challenges Livingston County for quality pizza. Average offerings but enough to really feel normal. Could use more sides, dedicated fryer but that's my only complaint. The staff is beyond knowledgeable, they are required to take a test to understand gf meals. The manager is world class at this restaurant. This is what a properly functioning restaurant that offers gf looks like. If you've never had it, go experience it. If you have had it, go more! We need more places like this!
No dedicated frier. Only have 3 choices for pizza. Only thing on kids menu that is GF is the rice and chicken, however cannot be guaranteed no cross contamination. The waiter said they would clean the area for cooking, no dedicated area. There are other GF foods on menu. That being said, pizza was actually very tasty. One of the better GF pizzas I have had. My daughter has a wheat allergy not celiacs, so we ordered the chicken and rice. She loved the chicken, not the rice.
Restaurant is closed.
Good GF food, clueless staff. I ordered a salad and pie off the GF menu. The waiter brought me a salad with croutons on it... Luckily I don't have celiac disease, (just fructose/fructans malabsorption), because I have no idea what cross contamination is like in the kitchen.
They have a good amount of G-Free options (even a beer or two! Yay!) The gluten-free pizza I had was pretty bad. I wouldn't order it again. They must have changed the pizza they serve. My daughter has been diagnosed for 10 years and I'm recently diagnosed. We had gotten the G-free pizza a few years ago for her and I remember it tasting way better.
awesome!! my daughter with celiac disease loved her cheeseburger on a gf bun! and she said the skinless potatoes were the best. She is very sensitive and did great. Would definitely recommend!!
Been going there for 4 years since being diagnosed with Celiac. Knowledgable and super friendly staff have always made me feel secure in dining there. Management brings out my food. My #1 dining place due to their GF Menu and excellent customer service!
The gluten free menu is very sparse... Ordered the veggie pizza with gf crust and it was somehow burnt and raw at the same time. There was sauce on only half the pizza and about three slices of green pepper and mushrooms. I ate it anyway because I was with family and hungry, but when I got home was immediately sick. I haven't been this sick in a while... No idea what they could have done to contaminate it. Celiacs stay away!! Don't risk it
I pretty much always go with either the salmon or the gluten free pizza, both are fantastic. The wait staff is great about communicating the allergy and they cook the food in a separate place. I wish they had better gluten free dessert options, maybe someday they'll add that to the menu!
They take GF and cross contamination seriously. Udi's burger rolls and pizza shells are available. Their burgers are great. I'm not typically a fan of the Udi's pizza shells, except at Uno's when they use them to make GF pizza skins, which are a yummy treat.
My Wife ordered the pizza and enjoyed it. She is fairly sensitive to cross contamination and had no reactions. Overall, a very positive experience.
Although they do have a gf menu, the servers were not well informed about the gf choices and we're not able to answer questions about substitutions. As a result they served me a burger on a wheat bun! I was sick for weeks after only one bite. They just weren't careful.
This was amazing!! I do not eat out much since most times my meal is not great and or i get sick before i am even done eating. On a family trip and tried uno. Never been to one. I was amazed!! My gf chicken dish was absolutely great!!! I think it was called spicolle or something. Grilled veggies for the side. Hands down best meal i have ever eaten at home or out since developing my gluten issues!!! We also had a terrific waitress. Non gf family also could not stop raving about their thin crust pizza
I have had a great and an unfortunate experience here. The staff is trained for allergies (which is why I say that they are celiac friendly). They have several gf menu options available, don't charge more for gf buns and even have Redbridge. You should always check though, I placed a gf takeout order of a steak and it came with a loosely wrapped piece of bread on top :(. Bummer!
I find it funny when I was at uno a week go they offer me a fruit cup of strawberries and blueberries grapes because i could eat the Veggies on the menu since they all had something i was allergic to. and just down the road about a hour from that one i walk in and ask for fruit cup instead of Veggies and waitress say ok. and then the manager comes to me table and say is there a problem. and we say the waitress took care of it. he say we dont have any fruit here and there no friut cup on the menu. so i say well i have it funny that a week ago i was at a uno and they made me one with ..... in it then the manager say oh I guess we can do that but it will take longer. ours menu all of them were out in 5 minutes or less after he left the table from talking to us. even tho he left us feeling bother that I had order something off the so call menu. really how hard is it to put fruit in a bowl.
Ordered their "GF Salmon" veggies and skinless baked potato and was severely sick hours later. I would NOT eat here if you have Celiac Disease. I have eaten at the UNOs in Hamilton, NJ and did not have a reaction. And yes, I did make the waiter aware of my disease and asked about having the food made separately to avoid cross contamination, he assured me it would be prepared properly. Nope.
