These guys and gals are awesome. They are educated about GF and will go out of their ways to make sure the food is great and your health is assured,
I am assuming I am not going to get sick from last Night's dinner but the herb rubbed chicken texture was like pressed chicken, not real chicken breast, from the lines on the outside it appeared grilled, and I don't know whether their grill used anything on it at any time with Gluten. To add to the sad picture, the chicken was tasteless. On the other hand the steamed broccoli was fine and so was the brown rice with craisins.
Food was very good. However, I used the ladies room. Soap dispenser was completely empty. How are staff members washing their hands? I handed the empty dispenser to the manager, he said he'd look into it. He did while we were there and he told me how he handled the situation. Kudos to the manager.
I have eaten here several times. They do a good job keeping my food separate from the rest of my family's food. The pizza is terrible. It is the frozen crust that is soggy and very cracker like. It tastes like and has the texture of uncooked white rice that hasn't been ground very fine. I like that you don't have to ask for a special menu. Also the steak is very good.
Yummo! Got the stuffed chicken, red skin potatoes & salad! My daughter got the pepperoni pizza, & didn't love it, but overall a great experience! No CC issues.
I've never had a problem here - and my Dermatitis Herpetiformis rash is basically the "gluten litmus test" for any restaurant - so even if I didn't think I was glutened and somehow was around 20 hours later I will get the itchy blisters. I have also had no GI issues after eating here either. I absolutely love that I can eat a burger on a bun instead of what most other restaurants offer to celiac disease sufferers, which is nothing. The night manager told me that his sister has Celiac and he explained the measures that they take to ensure that the crust isn't contaminated with gluten. I love this place.
Ordered tomato cheese pizza. It tasted like it was made on a separate pizza pan, possibly a disposable pan which is good news for celiacs. It was served on a plate not in the regular pizza pans they serve regular pizzas in. The crust was boring and flavorless. But overall it was fine. I would go again because it's someplace I can go where we can all have pizza and I don't have to feel excluded.
Ordered a gf ceasar salad and after taking a bite realized there were bread crumbs under some of the lettuce, looked like they put them on and then picked them off. The staff were apologetic and made me a new one but didn't change the fact that they glutened me...
Limited but nonetheless good GF menu. Manager has to oversee preparation and serving of GF meals. They seem to know and care about what they are doing here.
Food was good they had gf bread for burgers. Several choices
We've always had a good experience at Uno. Our servers have always been great at this location, and the GF menu is part of the regular menu. They know about cross-contamination, and we've never had a problem. This is one of our favorite places for both gf and non-gf family members.
this place was great the women who waited on me named leslie was very sweet. She assured that chefs know what they are doing. My food and my husband loved our guacamole burger with a pils anger orchard cider was great and nothing got us sick. we are definitely coming back here.
Ordered a gluten free pizza and got sick. I wrote to the GM at the store and he asked us to come back in for a complimentary dinner, which I thought showed their dedication... We went in at the agreed upon time and he was on vacation and no one had any idea who we were or about our reservations! We will never go back to another UNOs!
Pizza was ok, cheese and toppings not fully cooked.
Had a wonderful gf meal of chicken breast stuffed with spinach and cheese. Side of brown rice with dried cranberries was ok. Side of grilled veggies was excellent. Entree price was reasonable, but the price on coffee and lemonade explains why many people only order water. Atmosphere was pleasing . An enjoyable afternoon was had by all.
Very good place to eat gluten free. They have a good variety of selections. Our waitress was attentive to our needs and went to kitchen for answer to a question about chicken marinade. Because of garlic allergy, I had plain grilled chicken which was tasty and tender. Our family all liked their food!
Their GF menu is the last page of the regular menu. It has a few different pizzas, salads, burgers, and chicken dishes. I tried the guacamole burger with Udis bun. The server pointed out that the fries were not gf, and offered me a choice of different sides. Pretty tasty!
Pizza is not the traditional thick-crust that you want at Uno's. Instead it is a rather dry, thin crust without enough sauce. Many toppings are not gluten-free. Safe to eat, but definitely not my first choice.
Very friendly staff. My daughter and I enjoyed a girls night there. She eats the regular pizza. She loves the make her own. I eat off the gluten free menu. I like many of the items there. They even bring me my meal out separate on a separate tray to keep cross contamination low.
Excellent service excellent food. GF menu
Great gluten free beer & gluten free pepperoni pizza!!! I ate there & was impressed at how knowledgeable the staff was. The manager brought out my pizza and assured no cross contamination!!! - just went back and had their GF cheeseburger on gluten free bun. So good!
pretty good gluten free menu. servers are knowledgeable about gluten free. food is good
I have had good and bad experiences at Uno's, their GF menu is limited (most items are pre-made so they could be cooked separately) and it all depends who you have for a waiter. Some are very knowledgeable while my last visit I was served a 'GF' dish with bread sticks on the same plate! So be careful of who you order from and if they seem knowledgable of food allergies!
I was thrilled to see they had a gluten-free menu and even more thrilled at their flexibility with their promotion at the time - pick 2 for $6/each. They accommodated my gluten allergy and allowed me to get the gluten-free pizza instead of the regular pizza they had in their promotion. They made sure my food was prepared without cross contamination and it was a wonderful meal. Highly recommend going to UNOs if you have a gluten allergy.
My family loves their gluten free pizza its a lot bigger than most places not the standard tiny pizza bite.
Ordered a salad from their gf menu and they put a breadstick on it! When I told the waitress she admitted she had no idea what gluten was and suggested I just take off the breadstick. I figured she was new so I explained to her what could happen to someone who is severely sensitive if they even have a crumb. She acted like she understood and cared. Then she said she'd make a new salad. I watched and she went in the back and just took off the breadstick and tried to give it to me again! I got the manager and he admitted that some people aren't adequately trained. I told him we would be leaving and he said not to worry about paying for my husband's coke and my iced tea. Gee thanks. I won't be back.
Very good menu for a celiac. The Warwick location has multiple celiacs on staff and they really understand the process. The staff was very serious when it came to my gluten free meal. The manager oversaw the preparation of my meal and brought it out to me personally. They have a separate preparation area for gluten free meals and pizza (separate oven). The waitstaff was knowledgable. Very pleased with my meal. It's exciting to find a place I feel comfortable to eat a meal.
Great food (for the price point), excellent service. Not having had a restaurant burger in years, was very pleasantly surprised with the gluten free burger. Spoke to the manager about their GF protocol and was amazed to find a truly knowledgeable professional attitude. This place takes gluten-free preparation seriously and is very accommodating. Can't say that about many, if any, places I've been. Definitely going to be my new "go to" place. Looking forward to finally having pizza.
I really wanted to like this place (good service, prices, close to my work) but unfortunately I have had there GF Pizza three times and have gotten sick an equal amount of times. I think it may be that the dough is topped on a floured surface. Stay away from the pizza and you will probably be fine.
They understand cross contamination issues, and have a decent gluten free pizza (not near as good as their original pizza though) The other dishes on the GF menus are pretty good as well. I have family that comes in to town and always want to eat here, glad I have an option now to eat with them.
GREAT Gluten Free Options! My husband loves the GF pizza (order well-done to get cheese totally melted) with a GF beer, but also, lemon-basil salmon, chili, burgers w/GF buns! And we go here often because the menu has so many choices for both of us; we can eat there repeatedly without ordering the same thing twice. And the manager explained their GF protocol, which makes us feel safe.
I am very disappointed with them. I called and specifically ordered 2 gluten free pizzas and got 2 regular pizzas when I called back, the hostess claimed that she thought I changed my mind about the gluten free pizza and wanted regular pizza. She apologized and I also spoke with the manager who apologized as well, however I had already taken a bite out of the pizza before I realized the mistake. Needless to say, I will not be going back there or ordering from them any longer.
Incredible!!!! Made my night! I'm a pizza girl.. This by far is the BEST GF pizza i've ever had.. Tasty! Light! Crunchy! Didn't sit in my stomach like most GF crusts/products! Ask for Diego at this location. He too has a food allergy (meats) so he knows what CC can do to us!!!!
I asked for a naked burger with side salad without dressing, emphasized food allergies, GF. Got a burger in a bun. Explained to server that I needed a new burger cooked separately replacing the one that was contaminated. Got a whole new plate 20 min later after everyone else was done eating. Ate half. Was violently ill within a few hours. Apparently, they re-plated the previously cooked burger and effectively poisoned me.
I was underwhelmed with my gluten free experience here the pizza was just ok. I wouldn't go out of my way to try it again.
frozen premade gluten free pizza. not worth the money
One of the best gluten free meals I've had at a restaurant
I normally love UNOs GF pizza but the veggie pizza from this location was a huge disappointment. Sauce on cardboard with uncooked veggies.
We called to take out at 6:15 for 7 pm pick up. We walked in 7:01 and paid and tipped by 7:03 and waited 35 minutes longer. The manager came over to apologize but I thought they could have given free dessert at least. Pizza was ok. gf veggie was better than pepperoni. They need to use herbs. Did not like the Caesar salad at all. Dressy was not good.
We have eaten here twice in last 2 weeks. Excellent gluten free pizza. Manager brought meal out and provided assurance regarding gluten free processes. Really good service and meals in general excellent. Well done to manager of Uno.
GF pizza and beer are both very good
I was there on 6/16/13. I will not go back. I am GF and DF.. The waitress asked which of the 2 soups I could have (chilly or black bean), she came back and told me I can have the black bean and lentil, which was great! I noticed The black bean soup was not already available so when I wad told I could eat that, I was so happy cuz I love black beans! When the soup came out, I was given minestrone soup! Hello! NOT GF friendly!! (clearly the waitress did NOT put an allergen alert on the kitchen slip) I then asked for steamed broccoli (safe) and was given mixed veggies (which I had to ask if it was butter free), thing is.. I couldn't east most of the veggies because of other allergies! the salad was great! But I left very nervous if I was going to be sick.
Excellent food and service. No worries of getting a gluten reaction.
My daughter and I are both celiacs, so we ordered the pizzas off of the gluten-free menu. The waiter wrote GLUTEN FREE in big letters on his notepad. The pizzas were tasty but were dusted with what looked like flour. Over the next couple of hours and then that night, it was clear that we both had consumed gluten. The only thing we'd eaten that day that could have had gluten was the pizzas at Uno. Uno did serve RedBridge beer (one of my favorites), so though I give them a celiac friendly vote of no, they are trying. I think the kitchen maybe isn't as committed to separating gluten from gluten-free products as it should be.
Could not find this place in June 2013. Might be out of business.
I have had Pizza and salad twice at this location. Delicious and they didn't make me sick! They also have several other gluten free options on the menu I haven't tried as yet. They seem knowledgeable and careful! We have returned quite often and the only time I had a gluten reaction was on a busy Friday night. All the gluten free items on the menu are delicious. For some reason when you get the G.F. Pizza for pick up it is not very good even though when you have it dining in its delicious!
They a dedicated GF menu, which is really nice. I got the pepperoni pizza, it's pretty good.
Uno's is our "go-to" restaurant when we have a family dinner. I know that our gluten free food will be prepared and served with no problems. They even have gluten free buns for their yummy burgers. I wish they had gf appetizers and gf fries, but its still good. Servers are very careful and knowledgable about gluten free options and food prep.
Okay menu. GF pizza, udi's buns if you are craving a burger.
This is a mostly safe dining spot. Have had a few near misses. The manager has always taken care of any problems instantly, and usually with a refund. Can't recall every getting sick here, but there have been near misses. The near misses have mainly come from wait staff not knowing the issue and absent-mindedly throwing a bread stick on stop of a salad, for instance. You know, no salad is complete without a bread stick! :-) We dine here frequently so many of the staff know us by face and already know three of us are GF. One of my children loves the pizza and eats that exclusively. On Tuesday nights kids eat free and that's an added bonus. A free GF pizza for the GF kiddo! That's a $10 bonus right there.
Love the Cuban black bean soup with (specially made) Cobb salad. They are conscientious. GF pizza is ok.
the chain goes out of their way to make sure celiacs have a varied and tasty selection. sometimes the staff messes up but an apology follows.
so true about 2 servers coming out. i was very impressed! the waitres even said they have a seperate section in the kitchen where they prepare their gluten free food. i got the pizza and it was amazing. so going back again=). Did not get sick and everyone was extremely nice and understanding
They do have gluten free pizza as well as a chicken dish. If you are dairy free you are out of luck with the pizza- no daiya cheese. My personal pizza without cheese had three pieces of dried pepper a couple of tomatoes a couple of mushrooms. I only ate one piece it to keep company with my friends . took it home and pitched it. Sauce might have helped to keep it moist. Perhaps the chicken ?
Questionable, the pizza tasted fine, but now my stomach hurts pretty bad. I might be in for a long, painful night:-(
The pizza tastes like PIZZA!
I've ordered their GF pizza and hamburger. Both were delicious! The staff are very knowledgable and go through training. The managers personally deliver the food to avoid contamination. They use the GF Udi's buns for their burgers, which are fantastic! Not at all dry or crumbly!
I went to eat at this location tonight and was very impressed on how knowledgeable and friendly they were about my Gluten Free needs. I had the Caesar Salad and Veggie Pizza off the Gluten Free Menu and the pizza was brought out by the manager who assured there was no cross contamination. I then had the Ice Cream Sundae off the GF menu and although simple it was nice to have a dessert option. It was a great experience and will definitely be going back soon :)
The service was the worst that I've seen in 38 years. It's one thing to get bad service. But another thing to get a Attitude from the waitress!!! The food was great what little of our older came out. The Management couldn't even come out to see us. Nor would they answer the phone when called. The bad thing is . It was not even busy! No excuse!! I can only hop that it was a one time Occurrence. Just be warned .
Hooray for a place with so many GF options in my area! It was so refreshing ordering a burger, and not having to omit the bun! They use Udi's GF buns. It was quite tasty, and the waitress was very helpful.
GF pizza is the best I've had. Several other menu items also available inc. GF beer. I found managers knowledgable & helpful.
Staff is very friendly but we are always disappointed by the food. Yes it's a chain so I guess I shouldn't expect perfection. Last time we did take out here was a big old breadstick sitting right on top of the GF labeled entree with the words "GF no breadstick."
We tried the Gluten free pizza. It was not very good. It was very dry, very very thin and there was very little sauce on it. In addition, it was pricey for what you received. I also had a garden salad and the lettuce was not very fresh nor did they put many other vegetables in with it. The balsamic dressing was pretty good. My son had the gluten free hamburger and that was pretty good. I would have only rated it 2 stars considering the quality, size and price of the GF pizza. But since they are at least making an attempt I decided to give it 3 stars. With that being said attention Uno Chicago Grill it is time to up your game with this.
Horrible service. I order a burger with a gluten free bun. It took 45 minutes and came out WITH A REGULAR BUN! Abhorrent. Server didn't seem to care. Took another 20 minutes for the replacement. If you are offering gluten free, especially a chain, be prudent.
Absolutely not safe for any with Celiac or a severe allergy since there is a considerable amount of cross contamination
They recently added Chicken Spinocholly to their gluten free menu. It's to die for. If you order out be careful one time I got bread with my food. Granted it was wrapped in tinfoil and outside from the rest of the food and only happened once be careful. Other than that I love this place. No cross cross contamination yet :)
This place seems to change management more than any place I've seen. I've had some of the worst dining experiences here from intense cross contamination to multiple ingredients and items that they simply "ran out of," to just sloppy staff. Managers reluctant to replace or refund when their staff messes up. I am beyond *not* a fan. SO glad that I can get GF pizza elsewhere now. Their pizza is skimpy and not very tasty (they're just frozen pizzas that they heat for you) in the first place. :(
Pizza is really good and you can now order a burger with a bun and the bun is actually good! Don't waste your time with cheeseburger in paradise for a good gluten free burger with bun. Their bun falls apart before your first bite. This bun is soft, but has something to it!
I have been sick from the food 3 times... Although certain gf items off the menu are safe, many have been cross contaminated; salads, pizza, along with anything grilled... Anything baked is okay however I do not consider this a gluten free restaurant for someone with celiac disease.
The gluten free menu was rated very good by my daughter but during her visit we went to Uno's twice and she had the gluten free pizza both times because it was too good to pass up!
No gluten free menu or pizza. Take it off the list . 12-27-12
There is no gluten free pizza on 12-27-12. No gluten free menu. Take it off the list.
Small GF menu available, including beer. Pizza was fine.
Always a good experience GF no matter what location.
the pizza was phenomenal! I had a really good gf bean and lentil soup.
I'm glad they offer GF pizza (and rolls, but haven't tried those), but the pizza is like cardboard and it is pre-made (unless you ask for unusual toppings and they accommodate you, then they will make a fresh one, but still tastes bland like cardboard).
the crust was nice and crisp. they also carry redbridge which is nice. the manager personally delivers the gf meal, not the waitress. They now have buglers with Udis buns. All they need is a dedicated fryer now. They recently stopped carrying redbridge but now carry a Belgian amber ale (I checked it out and it had been tested having less than 5 ppm gluten even though its brewed with barley).
Have eaten here regularly with no issues. Attentive to cross-contamination issues and very accommodating.
The pizza is not the best but I always feel very safe eating it. Redbridge is always great to have as an option as well.
Excellent choices and they do gluten free well
UNO's catered a banquet I attended and I had been in contact with them ahead is time and trusted that they understood cross-contamination. They went to great lengths to prepare me something separate off their gf menu but I still ended up very sick before the end of the meal. I don't know if the fact that they prepared it in a different kitchen than normal made a difference but by the degree I was ill, I'm sure it was more than cross contamination.
The one on Ohio does not offer Gluten free pizza, but the staff was very nice and apologetic.
Staff was VERY knowledgable about the gluten free menu each time I've eaten here. Even the bartender (who brought me my take away pizza) assured me that the pizza was 100% GF, he even used the term "no cross contamination". This is a trustworthy place to eat with a decent selection to boot.
While in Las Cruces on business and stopped in at Uno's one evening, I was very excited when I heard an employee tell everyone in the kitchen that my table was gluten free. He also brought me a Redbridge beer with the cap still on "to reduce the chances of any cross contamination"... wow! Thought I was in for a no problem meal because of the apparent care they take here... No such luck, later that night, I had a very bad reaction. The food was also only ok tasting. Definitely not worth the money!
My daughter has celiac disease so eating gluten free is very important. UNOs always does a fantastic job with cross contamination and making sure her food is prepared properly. They have no option for gluten free pizza on their kids menu but if your child orders a make your own gluten free pizza UNOs will only Hargreaves you the kids menu price which I find fantastic. Gluten free items are always so much more expensive having a company that WILLINGLY charges you less is wonderful. However even if you buy a gf pizza to go their prices are still decent. No huge mark up just because it's GF. For this reason we seek out UNOs restaurants while out with the family. The are kind and understandings and my daughter doesn't feel completely different and doesn't have to eat grilled chicken or a naked cheeseburger all the time.
Ordered a gf pepperoni pizza with extra sauce on the side and it was the best I ever tasted from an UNOs! I make the drive to this location instead of the latham location near my house because their gf pizza is so much better!
Great gluten free menu! I had the pizza, and it was yummy!
Gluten free chicken dishes very yummy!
Good gf pizza. I recommend the takeout special for 2 gf pizzas for $13.99 (compared to 1 for $12). They will even give you one frozen if you want to save the 2nd one for another day. Or you can get 1 gf and one gluten filled thin crust for $13.99 if you are feeding a gluten eater too.
The best deal at Uno's is the take out special for $13.99...you can get 2 of the gf pizzas (or 1 gf and one non-gf if you are with a gluten eater)....especially since just one pizza is $12 if you eat in. They will also give you one or both of the pizzas frozen if you want to save one for later & eat one now.
I almost always have a great gluten free experience at Uno's, but this was the best. My waiter was also a celiac sufferer and he not only took care if me but gave me plenty of tips for getting around Boston.
Gluten free pizza! Really good, too. I really like their hamburgers (without bun) and the stuffed baked potato side dish.
not too many options, but love the pizza. gfree only comes in thin crust. wish they had gf deep dish
Pizza was good says the teenager and I had the Baked Stuffed Chicken and it was so yummy !!!
Gluten free pizza and dessert. Pretty good.
not fresh gf. toppings already selected.....they said it was premade frozen. yuck
Excellent salad-order taker knew of GF menu and got it for me-manager wasn't aware of it
My old boss bought me Uno's gluten free pizza when I left my job and it was the first time I had it. Definitely a great choice. I'm not a huge fan of Uno's deep dish pizza, which is why I gave it 4 stars compared to 5 (and since I've had better GF pizza), but if you're looking for gluten free and craving pizza, great choice.
The GF pizza crust was a little bland & cardboard-like for my tastes but their other GF dishes are good. The baked stuffed chicken is excellent! One server I had here is/was even a Celiac sufferer herself. I would definitely recommend them.
There gf pizza is great! Great service and a great place to eat when you have to eat gf!
Great pizza and awesome price.
I love UNOs gluten free pizza!!!! A chef comes in before the restaurant opens to cook the gluten free pizzas so that they do not get contaminated. They have a gluten free menu and the service is great. If you order To-go or online you get 2 pizzas for $13!!!! They only have personal sizes but the portions are bigger than most "personal sizes." BEST PIZZA EVER!!!! Also they have gluten free desserts including bananas foster; which is delicious. Enjoy!
Food was delicious! Service was alright. I prefer the UNOs close to where I live but I can't complain about the food.
Impressed with the menu. Wish the fries and nachos were on there but nice overall.
Love the pizza!
GF pizza is pretty good. Mine took forever because the preparer dropped the dough in wheat flour and had to start over. I was grateful he did start over and the pizza was indeed GF.
I have had very good meals and service here I prefer the GF meals over the their GF Pizza.
Gluten-free pizza here sucks unless you like bland ingredients on tasteless thin crust
Amazing gf pizza. The manager brought it out herself. Sadly, we are moving and I wont be able to go back.
No cross contamination
Uno's has a fairly big gluten free menu, but there GF pizza is so good that I haven't veered from it to try anything else. You can even order it to go and there are coupons on their website.
Great gf food.will be back.thank you uno's
They have the best gluten free pizza! Can't really tell there is a difference and have never felt sick after:-)I go to the one in Braintree,MA! Give it a try:-))))
They have a GF menu - including pizza and beer! Staff is very knowledgable about what can and can't be made GF- free.
my son loves the gluten free pizza the gluten free chicken with spinach is great
Staff is always accommodating. Manager is very knowledgeable too.
We love this restaurant. Our family has Celiac's Disease and Eosinophilic Esophagitus. The staff is great and they give us the gluten free pizza crust for my daughter to use at make her own pizza.
got sick twice from what I have to assume was cross contamination at this location. a friend with celiac had stomach pain after eating at a different unos...stay away so many safe places have gluten free pizza now
Pizza's pretty sub par & most staff was less than aware. Other menu options are pretty good.
wait staff knowledgeable and pizza good. never had issues after eating @ this restaurant.
Great GF Pizza!
Love their gf pepperoni pizza! I got takeout and brought back to my hotel and they even included napkins, a plate, cheese, and red pepper flakes! We have lots of options for gf pizza at home in MN and this ranks up there with the best. I wish their local location hadn't closed in 2008. Super friendly staff too.
Had the gluten free pizza it was good considering that I have not had pizza in awhile
Great GF menu . www.GlutenFreeRealtor.com
pizza was good. staff not very knowledgeable and my pizza was cross contaminated I think.
there food was fabulous. i had a veggie pizza and the crust was one of the best i ever had! go here well worth it.
I luv uno's they have some of the best gluten free pizzas
Staff were friendly and helpful. My takeout order from the gf memu was contaminated and I got sick. :-(
very good gf pizza, you can have the pre-made Pizza's or make up your own on their gf crust
Tried their GF pizza and the best I can say is it was edible. The sauce had no seasoning & pretty much tasted like tomato paste.
they rock, GF pizza is great for families with 1 GF kid who doesn't want to be left out!
Super careful. Even two servers come out, one carrys out the gluten free items so there are less CC issues. GREAT FOOD TOO!
pretty good gf pizza with a decent amount of toppings. good prices and the manager came out to talk to me about food prep
