This Wendy's just reopened after a complete rebuild. The friendly manager always remember I order GF. Usually grilled chix no bun and baked potato. She told me that they now have separate fryers for the fries at this location.

I thought they were very accommodating of my son (egg allergy) and me (wheat sensitive). They assured us our burgers wouldn't touch a bun and they were very good about it. I also had a chili cheese potato and my son had apple slices. Frosty's for dessert topped off a decent meal and no stomach aches! I love how how simple their allergen menu was online. Refreshing compared to my experience at McDs across the street!
it was very good idea like it thanks for this article
They're very accommodating in that they'll change their gloves and put your sandwich in this nice little container and make sure you have silverware and individual sauces. I've worked fast food and i know sometimes when one frier is getting cleaned you have to use the other that may be designated for breaded chicken, so you might have to be careful there.
The manager was very helpful and aware of gluten issues. He offered to clean a cutting board to cut a chicken breast to add to a side salad for each of my daughters with celiac disease. Gluten free dressings, frostys, potatoes, and chili. Nice to have a place to eat on a long road trip.
Wendy's isn't necessarily a gf restaurant but I have found that the staff at this particular Wendy's are understanding of the need for changing gloves and cleaning the work space. I order a Dave's triple with no bun or a bowl of chilli. I have not gotten sick and I am VERY sensitive. If you even breathe bread toward my food I get sick so that is saying a lot. ha.
We always feel safe at Wendy's but I have to say this one near the airport in Hyannis is the best one we've visited! Staff knows exactly what to do when you mention gluten allergy or celiac, and the service is fast and second to none. Like other Wendy's, lots of options!
Wendy's chili is GF and really good. Especially with added cheese, onions and hot sauce. I ask when they last changed their fryer oil and if recent I'll order fries. The fries are supposed to be in a dedicated fryer but don't always trust them. I've had good luck and the fries are excellent. Otherwise I'll order a baked potato with the chili. Wish they had more GF options but this has the most of all the fast food drive through places that I've found.
The Cleveland Wendy's is the best place around for celiac people. They are caring and knowledgeable about cross contamination best practices. Potatoes, fries, bunless burgers, salads, chili, frost, grilled chicken and more. They change gloves and have a wonderful attitude. Love this place! We eat here once a week.
Dedicated oil for fries. Gf menu on website.
Yummy salad, but I wish Wendy's would have more options! I had the BBQ ranch chicken salad (carful though, they chop their chicken on common cutting boards, according to their website.) Otherwise gluten free.. I'm EXTREMELY intolerant and had no reactions from it :)
They fries are in a dedicated fryer and the woman helping me was very clear communicating to the people cooking the food. I was able to get fries and a vanilla frosty and I didn't get sick. I've also gotten baked potatoes before but not at this location. I would still ask if its a dedicated fryer each time just in case, but this was a great experience.
I ordered a salad here through the drive thru. We spoke to three different people in the restaurant all of whom knew about food allergies. The lady who was on the window told us she had family who were celiac (luck of the draw I guess). I felt very safe eating my salad. They even looked up a safe dressing for me to try. Very good experience for fast food and also very surprising. I'm not sure I'd order something fried here, but I would certainly get a salad and a flavored lemonade here again.
Gluten free fries, also I enjoy the chili too.
