had breakfast here. I had GF french toast and hashbrowns. they were really good. GF menu had a lot of options. overall really great!
Great Expwrience. Had a hard time while staying in San Antonio on the riverwalk finding true gluten free menus. I had a bad experience a few days before at other restraunts so researched and found good reviews at Zocca. I was really pleased to find they had so many options. I have never tried a gluten free beer but saw in another review that they carried one made from sorghum. It was great. They brought regular bread for my wife but after two request still never brought me the gluten free bread. I ordered the Classic Bolognese Pasta with ground pork and beef. it was delicious. I also tried the gluten free chocolate cake. it was so nice to find somewhere that seems to truly get gluten free.
Had the primavera pasta and the grilled salmon off the gluten free menu, both were delicious. Restaurant has plenty of GF options and our waitress was attentive and made sure our items were in fact GF. Unfortunately didn't have room for dessert but had a few GF choices.
Pretty good food. They did bring me gluten free bread Udi's toast), but it was a bit burnt. Felt comfortable, but wish they would have "sent out the chef to talk to me". I didn't ask, but this that is a nice feature, especially for high-end places.
Very big gluten free menu! Wonderful food! I got a pancake and had to ask the waitress to ask the chef what kind of flour they use because it tasted like a normal pancake! It was SO good!! I also got an egg, bacon and hash browns which were also delicious!
inside the westin- large menu including pancakes and french toast. had the flatbread, bisteca panini and Nutella pizza. all delicious but pizza is just too much chocolate for me. very nice atmosphere.
Another visit to Zoccas, another 5 stars for GF yummy food.
Awesome gluten free menu!! Including bread and pancakes!!!
Good menu, good service. The gf pasta was incredible. The gf chocolate pizza was definitely worth it! And, I hear it is better than the regular version!
Excellent gluten free menu with lots of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had the turkey panini and it was amazing! We'll definitely be back! And will have to try their breakfast options which includes GF French toast! Also the service, price and setting were worthy of five stars!
Unbelievable! If there is a review that isn't 5 stars they are crazy. I have Celiacs and this was amazing. Very knowledgable and the best flavors. Didn't get sick and if I lived here I would come every day! I had the GF Alfredo and it was to die for!
Gluten free bread (udis) and separate toaster, it was nice to have a normal breakfast while traveling.
This place rocked! They had gluten-free baked desserts! Their gf pancakes were delicious and fluffy! The wait staff were friendly too.
So many GF items on their GF menu along with a knowledgeable waiter (Raul) made for a relaxing dinner. We enjoyed our meal and will return.
They noticed I had a GF menu and brought me GF bread that was grilled and my own dipping sauce! I didn't even ask for it! Lots of options! I highly recommend !
Great gluten free beer! Only one option but I throughly enjoyed it. It was made from sorghum. Had an appetizer that used gluten free bread, basil, mozzarella, and really good balsamic vinegar. Only thing is the bread should have been toasted and crispy would have made it better
Staff was very knowledgable about GF diet and Celiac concerns. The GF menu had a wide selection of available options. It was nice to have a GF pizza that didn't taste like a cracker.
Our visit to the city included two meals eaten at this restaurant. Dinner and then breakfast. Dinner was busy and the meal which was a pasta dish that tasted fine. They had gluten free bread but it was only sliced sandwich bread as opposed rolls. We decided to give breakfast a try and was looking forward to French Toast, but after talking to our waiter and learning they cook it on the same griddle that also cooks the gluten products I decided against it and went with the egg white omelet. Our server was great after learning I could eat anything off a shared surface and made the kitchen redo my dish's vegetables because at first it was on the griddle. I didn't get sick, so that's good news and the reason why I didn't give them 5 stars is because there is a risk for those with celiac. If I come back we will more than likely dine here again but not without talking to everyone before hand!
DELICIOUS!! Ended up eating here multiple times while I was in town. Get the gluten free chocolate pizza, you can thank me later. Day three update: we went back for one last breakfast and OMG THOSE PANCAKES!! They were the FLUFFIEST pancakes I've ever had in my entire life! (I've eaten regular ones before I found out I have Celiac.) Also the had awesome smoothies on their breakfast bar. They also use cage free eggs. the staff was wonderful and treated us like their favorite relatives by day three. 😄
Had the French toast with fruit, was very satisfied with the meal. The portions were huge. The staff was nice but a bit nonchalant about the gf foods. Was a bit pricey for a quick every day breakfast but would go now and again.
Nice GF breakfast. My son loved the steel cut oatmeal, and my pancakes were good. Rounded out the meal with a perfectly-done poached egg for protein.
Excellent service, price and selections! GF pasta, desserts, pizza and bread.
Went three times (breakfast, lunch and dinner on three separate days). They had gluten free bread for the table and were very careful I preparation.
yummy French toast!
I ate here three times during my trip to San Antonio and had no troubles at all. The first visit I spoke with the manager Jose and he had the chef come to my table to discuss the options. I went with the brick oven chicken and it was really good. The chef came back to the table to ensure everything was good. Great service! The next two times I went for breakfast and just had the eggs, hash browns, and Canadian bacon. On the third visit the manager remembered me and made sure I was taken care of. They also serve gluten free bread with the meal, which they toast separately to avoid cross contamination. The service here was perfect and I had no troubles at all with any of the meals. Definitely recommend.
not a dedicated facility. get ready to be sick & feel blue for weeks
Excellent meal. They were pleasant and seemed pleased to accommodate GF, from bread to start with, multiple GF entree options, and even several dessert choices. Service was a little slow on this busy night, but the staff was great and made us all comfortable.
Awesome. Nice Gf menu with plenty to choose from . GF bread toasted and warm. Wait staff very attentive as helpful. Food was delicious. Several apps, entrees and desserts to choose from.
If you're ready this.........GET YOUR BUTT TO ZOCCA! My husband and I searched all over to find gluten free options for me in San Antonio, as I have Celiac's disease, and found this place!!!! Holy cow is it amazing! We started off with local lettuce salad which had olives, feta and delicious light dressing!! Gluten free lightly toasted bread with olive oil dipping.,.......yummmmmy!!!! Then we shared bolognese pasta and the chicken Alfredo pasta dishes....... WOW!!! ENDING with creme brulé and berries and a nice cup of coffee!!! Raul was our waitor and he was just so pleasant and knowledgeable about the gluten free options! Love love love this place!!!!
Not just amazing for gluten free food..Amazing food. Wonderful service and beautiful atmosphere as well. We had gluten free bread...The gf bruschetta was great and all 3 gf meals we ordered also above par. I had the lump crab pasta and my family chicken pasta meals..All wonderful. We actually had walked out of another Riverwalk establishment who claimed to be gf friendly and are so happy we found this place last minute
Great meal here. Gluten free bread, delicious lump crab pasta, flourless chocolate cake! Yum yum! Many GF items to choose from. Great service.
On the river at the Westin. My wife and I sat at the bar. Genevieve was our bartender. Excellent service. REDBRIDGE beer available. I had the gluten free bolognese and it was very good. For desert I had the chocolate cake. The cake was very rich and enjoyed very slowly. I definitely recommend and will return.
Went while in San Antonio to Zocca, Ron was an amazing waiter, ensured things were taken care of when I told him that i required eating Gluten Free. Started with the Gluten Free Bruschetta. The Lump Crab Gluten Free Pasta was GREAT! The grilled lemon added just that right bite. Was there for my birthday, and they brought out a Happy Birthday tile with a slide of gluten free Flourless Chocolate Cake with whipped cream and Raspberries. I would definitely recommend Zocca to anyone looking for great options and great gluten free food.
Service is very slow. Food is good. Place is clean. Nice selection of GF with an exclusive GF menu. Kids pizza is the same size as an adult pizza. Sherbet trio is ok. More icy than flavorful, and enough to feed 3 or 4 people. According to my little one, the kids brownie fudge dessert with vanilla ice cream was really good. Entrances through the hotel or Riverwalk.
really good penne with alfredo sauce, in the Mother's day brunch the chef was gently and offered me to choose from the gf menu. the dessert was delicious too!
Fabulous dinner of penne and crab. Yes, all service a little slow, but this part of river walk very quiet and clean! Nice to have complete gf menu!
Would not come back. Service was marginal and not what you would expect from a Westin property. Breakfast was fine as far as taste goes, but gluten free French toast was served at room temperature. By the time the butter arrived several minutes later, it was cold.
Absolutely AMAZING gluten-free experience. Not only did they have delicious, free bread before our meals, but the gluten-free bruschetta was amazing!! They had a lot more appetizers that all looked good. They had pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and so much more good stuff on their menu. I got lump crab in a cream sauce over penne (amazing) and my husband got the Bolognese (also amazing). We were so stuffed that we had no room for dessert, but they actually had cookies, brownies, cheesecake, etc. Not to mention the most EXCELLENT service. They always made sure to verify that the food was gluten-free and they were so awesome about it. It didn't feel like I had to make them go out of their way to make things special. I felt no stress at all. I've missed that!
Fantastic gluten free menu available
Unbelievable service, menu, location, and a "can do" attitude was a pleasant surprise in a hotel restaurant. They really understand, one of the chef's has a wife with Celiac! They are trained, knowledgeable, and so helpful. I was treated like a celebrity, and met everyone from the sous chef to the exec. Chef. They all came to the table to assure me I was safe, and without me asking. What a treat, I can't wait to return!
