Tasty. Good GF pasta. Haven't had a bad meal or gotten ill, and we've been here a lot. Most times the chef will come speak to you (if I'm just getting a classic pasta I tell them not to worry about it). They've modified many a menu item for me, even beyond their usual modification just because I have a craving. Oh, and the GF rolls are Andreas herb dinner rolls. I have to slap my non-GF husband's hand to stay away from them.

Maggiano's is one of the best GF chain restaurants I've ever seen. Even though it is a chain, every restaurant feels like a local eaterie. GF menu is extensive and plenty of options. Side Caesar salad is the best GF salad I've ever had. The GF pasta and meat sauce tastes great. Chef speaks with you about the GF options and makes sure that he knows dietary concerns. A+ rating! You have to eat here!

Was there on a busy Saturday night about a week ago. The waitress was pretty good. She intercepted the breadbasket that was headed for our table and knew for sure of at least one gf dessert option without having to check. The gf pasta was fresh and went great with the red sauce and prosciutto wrapped chicken. All of their sauces are gf so that helps a great deal with cross contamination. Wish we had gotten just a bit more personal attention, but considering how busy they were that night, I was very pleased with the meal and the service.

I wish my experience was like the one the other reviews related. my waiter had no clue about GF options beyond substituting the pasta for a gluten free pasta. When the pasta came out it was ice cold and the pasta was hard as a rock. The waiter wasn't even apologetic. There are way better choices out there!!

Chef came right out and told us how he would prepare our food. There is no gf menu. They tailor pretty much any meal to match your needs. This goes for any allergy. Wasn't a huge fan of the gf pasta though. This won't stop us from returning though. I will just try something without pasta.

Was not impressed by this Maggiano's in Houston. The waitress did not have the chef come to my table, which has always been done at their other locations. She said they were "in a thing.". If they were in a thing, then who was cooking?! I should have left at that point but I didn't have any other options nearby, as I was on foot. Waitress was horrible. I asked twice for a straw & never got it, and the restaurant was empty! Food came out wrong and was completely bland & tasteless. Won't be going back to this location ever.

All of their sauces and salad dressings are gf and they have gf pasta that was very good. I had the chicken (gf breaded) Parmesan and it was wonderful. It is not very often you can find this on a gf menu. They had 2 gf dessert options which I did not try since my meal was plenty.

I have celiacs went to eat with co-workers, spoke to chef seemed very knowledgable and accommodating. When food arrived I was cautious as always ate 2 bites of my pasta and waited a bit to make certain it wasn't contaminated. When waiter came back to table I said one more time "these are gluten free right?" He said oh no those are regular noodles. So sorry let me get you the gluten free ones, I immediately started to cry. Was sick all night long from 2 bites! Big mistake will never go back to this place.

Great food, gluten free pasta was my choice. They need some gluten free breads but still great experience. Bad thing...the take home pasta they give, covered in cheese, not sure what they were thinking since my original order was perfect...must have just ignored the allergy ticket.

Sadly we had to give this location a one because of unfortunately being gluten'd. We have dined at another Maggiano's dozens of times with no incident and like mentioned below the chef would always come to our table. Here we had to ask and it didn't seem this is what they did, right off the bat I became nervous and sure enough I was feeling sick before we left to go home. We are new to Houston and sadly this location is a one and done for us. If you're Celiac I wouldn't recommend this location, sorry.

In the past I have loved Maggiano's. I'd seen on other reviews that the manager or chef comes out personally to speak with you. Granted, it was Friday night, but that did not happen. I told our waiter and he said ok. He proceeded to bring bread to the table and said nothing. I had to ask if it was regular or GF. Waiter said nothing about the menu just asked what we'd decided to order-we hadn't even ordered drinks yet. So finally I asked for some GF bread. They burned it once and the second time it came out frozen. Third try it came out after my meal. Dinner was good, a bit salty, but that's tolerable. I guess I was just a little disappointed. We'll go back, but I hope we don't have the same experience. Waiter was nice enough, just a little rushed I guess.

I rarely eat at chain restaurants, but I had a gift card so I gave it a try...what a colossal disappointment!!! The GF noodles were dry and chewy and there was barely any sauce! The red tomato and olive oil sauces were both bland. You do get a large quantity for your money, but extremely poor quality. The staff was fairly helpful about accommodating my needs, but this place is truly a sorry excuse for an Italian restaurant. If you want high quality GF Italian food at a reasonable price, check out Abrucis and Saucy Noodle Ristorante!

We've been here twice since my daughter was diagnosed celiac. The first time was great. They charged an extra $2 for gf pasta which was fine. The second time she ordered salmon with potatoes. She nearly finished the salmon when she noticed some orzo on the plate which was very difficult to see in the sauce. They had likely fixed it as usual (normally comes with orzo) and wiped it off when they realized the mistake. So when i brought it to their attention they comped the meal and brought her a nice dessert which she couldnt eat bc she was in the bathroom sick. Well she is sick as a dog now 8 hours later. I hope the cook who decided he could just wipe it off reads this. Sucks to suck.
