    Seasons Pizza

    1 ratingMay 18, 2013

450 Marlton Pike E, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034

dining here was worst mistake we've ever made! Went for their gf chicken parm & calzone. staff warned us against the chicken, so we got pizzas instead. Cross-contamination evident because 2 of us got a gluten reaction before we left the table! AVOID THIS PLACE.

    Red Robin

    3 ratingMay 18, 2013

4201 Coldwater Rd., #27, Fort Wayne, IN 46805

This was our favorite burger place, & when I found out I needed to go GF I was so excited to know that Red Robin had a GF bun & their fries are also GF. However we were slightly disappointed in how things tasted, mostly due to the fact that the seasoning they use on the burgers & the fries is not GF. Our waiter was knowledgeable enough to let us know that & had the kitchen leave it off. So the burgers & fries seemed very bland, & the GF bun was not very tasty either. I still think its a good place to eat & the experience was good with our waiter, but next time we will bring our own GF seasoning. It's one of the only restaurants you can find GF fries (they use a dedicated fryer), so we will definitely be back!

Awesome GF menu! The pasta is amazing, It tastes just as good as regular pasta, and the GF bread is delicious!! They started charging a dollar for it, but totally worth it. The dinner portion sizes are huge! I got three meals out of my pasta dish, so a very good deal for the price. The staff is very accommodating & knowledgeable about GF needs. I will definitely be coming here often!

Wasn't terribly impressed with the food. My husband's breakfast burrito was completely cold. They offered free dessert rather than money back since he had already eaten most of it. I had GF veggie burrito and it was lacking. My salad was completely drenched in dressing but would have been good otherwise. Have no plans to go back.

    The Pig

    4 ratingMay 18, 2013

630 Weaver Dairy Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27514

I was initially put off by the staff's casual and almost dismissive attitude about my allergy. it concerned me so much I didn't order anything and told my boyfriend to go ahead and eat his fill and I would get something elsewhere. everything changed when he coerced me to try a bite of the BBQ (confirmed gluten free by another reviewer) and I died. it was unlike anything I had ever had and suddenly my lack of carb options became a moot point as I proceeded to order a huge plate of the stuff with homemade pickles and slaw. omg. I don't know what they do to that pork but im not even a pork fan and it was the best I'd ever had. If the staff were a little more informed or serious about accommodating food allergies it would be five stars. I asked if their fries were safe and the guy behind the counter shrugged and said "sure." I then asked if they fried it with other gluten items and he laughed and said "oh yeah, definitely." I dunno, I thought that was lame, but the food absolutely rocks.

    Mucho Gusto Mexican Kitchen

    2 ratingMay 18, 2013

67 Oakway Center, Eugene, OR 97401

No gluten free menu but when I asked about GF the person at the counter immediately washed his hands and changed gloves. You cannot eat the chips here. You are pretty much limited to soft tacos. The carnitas was tasty and so was my margarita but very few options available. I just can't embrace a Mexican place where I can't eat chips and salsa.

I think you should remove this place from your app. Tried to eat there last week and the two employees I spoke with had no idea what I was talking about and told me they had nothing. Figuring the B team might have been on duty I wrote a friendly email to them asking for clarification. A week has gone by with no response whatsoever.

    Tabor Mountain Bakehouse

    2 ratingMay 18, 2013

1015 West Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80904

Being vegan and gluten-free I was so excited when this place opened their new location and was there on opening day! I have since gone a few times since but decided never to go back again for the following reasons. I found most of the products to be tasteless. After having lived in New York City, I guess I was spoiled by allergy-free baked goods that actually taste just as good as their originals. I spent $8 on pumpernickel bread just to throw it out because it was inedible. There were a few things I found that I did like, but the attitude of the staff and owner were just so bad that it just didn't make it worth it. Of the 4 times I have been the staff has always been unfriendly and rude. When I arrived and asked for their "English muffins" the girl (although I know she knew what I was talking about) rudely said "We don't have English muffins. Are you referring to our sandwich bread?" If I ask for something that's not available they make some kind of nasty comment as if I had a lot of nerve to ask. I also had followed them on Facebook and noticed an on-going list of "poor customer etiquette" written by the OWNER criticizing customer's behavior! I wonder why people start a business like this if they don't have a passion for it and don't enjoy working with the public. Sad and by the reviews here, I don't expect that they will stay open for very long.

    Meatheads Burgers & Fries

    5 ratingMay 18, 2013

Ste. 107, 305 North Veterans Parkway, Bloomington, IL 61704

The manager was very accommodating when I asked to see allergen info, and was actual excited to help me when he heard I was GF. He made sure to point out the separate fryers for the fries and was ready to answer any questions I had. The cashier was also knowledgeable and flagged my order as a gluten allergy. The manager brought out our food personally and told us that the cooks made sure to wash their hands and change gloves before preparing my food. The did wrap my burger in lettuce, but it was so juicy and sloppy (a good thing!) that I ended up eating it with a fork and knife. If they had GF buns they would be perfect, but all in all a great experience.

    Native Foods Cafe

    4 ratingMay 18, 2013

2453 Park Ave, Tustin, CA 92606

Friendly staff and management. Risk of cross contamination, explained by the manager. I took a risk and got a salad. The Ensalada Azteca salad was good/okay. $9.95, and had a lot of romaine lettuce (filler). I was hungry, and the salad filled the void. I did not get sick at the two-three hour mark afterward, and so I am satisfied. At ordering desk, after explaining for about five minutes that I am very sensitive to gluten because I have Celiac Disease, reading over the menu, hearing there's no guarantee on the lack of cross contam, then ordering, I felt it was a real chore to eat there. The four stars was for the ok salad and the nervousness of eating there.

Have been eating here GF since it opened. The staff are friendly and used to the GF menu. Don't know why that GF menu is on paper, separate from the other non-GF one, but ask for it at the reservation stand when you walk in. Love the pizza and/or the Southwest Salad. Got sick in 2012 one time, after figuring out I was served a regular Pizookie. If having the dessert, be sure to ask for the GF Pizookie, which now comes in a different GF pan.

They do have a lot of gf options but I had a bad experience. I asked for two dogs on gf buns and what I was served were definitely different than the regular buns. However, it wasn't until I was finished that I realized they were just cheap regular wheat flour buns. Why they even had these buns, I have no idea. I soon experienced the signs of ingesting gluten.

Very large portions on the sandwiches (none of the usual mini slices of bread) with giant slices of ham and regular sized buns. Had enough leftover sandwiches for dinner. Great cookies, rolls & cinnamon buns. Can't wait to go back!

I agree, if you ask them most do not know about allergies. But I go to the internet and look up their menus to confirm the ingredients. This place is completely safe for gluten free people.

Very small menu, but awesome if you're meeting up at a bar because we all know how hard it is to find gluten free appetizers while we are having a beer or drink. Decent atmosphere as well. OK service.

ate here 3 times since going GF and first 2 times were fine. The last time I ordered from the gluten free menu, and made them aware of my allergy. I got sick that night and couldn't get out of bed for a few days. It's a shame because their food is pretty good. I believe it's one of the side dishes that made me sick

I had high expectations for this place after reading some reviews. I go to all the popular Mexican restaurants so I find it easy to give my opinion here. Overall the food was decent, no brilliant flavors or spices mostly salt and pepper. The rice is completely unseasoned white rice, no cilantro or lime. The steak was very plain too, however it was tender. I would give their food 2 stars because it was so bland, but adding 1 star because it did taste fresh and they did accommodate gluten intolerant customers. Their chips and queso are gluten free, not amazing but pretty good. Be careful because some of their salsas have wheat, you should ask which ones. I would rate them below all the major Mexican chains even California Tortilla and Moe's...

This is probably my favorite restaurant. My husband and I always take a trip downtown for my birthday so we can have dinner here. Even before I went GF. It is a meat-lover's paradise. They are incredibly accommodating. Just notify your server that you need to eat GF and they send the manager over to let you know what very few things you should not eat. When I went, the only things I couldn't eat were the salad dressings (because they are not made in house and therefore they cannot guarantee their safety), a pasta salad on the salad bar, and chicken that is marinated in beer. EVERYTHING else is safe to eat: HUGE and delicious salad bar (I use balsamic vinegar in place of the dressing), endless amounts of meats, fried polenta, caramelized bananas, mashed potatoes, and best of all the Brazilian cheese bread. In my opinion, this place is simply the best.

Delicious. SO happy I found this place. They're very accommodating! Just tell the checkout person that you have a gluten allergy and they will inform the people preparing the food. They will serve your burger in a lettuce wrap in a separate container. Their fries are gluten-free and thin and crispy and AH-mazing. Bonus: my whole meal (burger, fries, and a pop) was less than $10 bucks - not bad for lunch in the city.

Apparently their GF options are made with corn pasta, which was a fun surprise. I had never had anything like it and it was very tasty.

If you are looking for a good cake, beware! After reading the mostly positve reviews on this bakery, I ordered a cake for a very special event. Tiramisu is one of my favorites, and I figured a bakery would know what the flavor profiles of this dessert are (coffee, ladies fingers, and ricotta cheese). A friend picked up the cake and brought it to DC. Upon opening the box we discovered a pumpkin cake with cream cheese icing. Thinking they had sent the wrong cake, I called and let them know the wrong cake had been picked up. The individual on the phone, apologized telling me that a manger would call me in the morning to refund my money. After several days calling the bakery trying to get in with a manger, I was told that was the cake and too bad if I did not like it. (I still do not think i got the right cake or else they dont know what a tiramisu cake is). I threw away most of the cake which was to serve 24 ( i had a party of 40 people) since it was not a good cake - pumpkin, carrot whatever. As an individual with celiac i have stomached through a lot of bad gluten free products but this was one of the worst cakes i have ever had. I'm never going back, nor will anyone I know! In the end it was a bad cake, with VERY BAD customer service.
