The food is just as delicious and the service is just as friendly as it was when Kiwan Cafe Rio was located on Burnside...except the parking options are much better! Owned by an utterly delightful couple who still remembers me a few years later. The waffles are soooo good!

GF buns available, with a separate safe fryer. Most items on the menu are available gluten-free, and the host staff and servers are knowledgeable about what has gluten in it - including calling out the vinaigrette on the Asian salad has non-safe soy sauce. Not 100% celiac friendly because it's a shared facility but they seem to know what they're doing! My burger was quite tasty.

Fair gluten-free menu but decidedly mediocre service. When I mentioned that the "steamed mixed vegetables" (basically hot coleslaw, ew) were lackluster, the server gave a sarcastic response. For the price, I would expect to be treated better.

Separate gf menu, reasonably knowlegeable staff, tasty meal. Shared kitchen and a bit spendy.

My husband ordered the pineapple fried rice, made GF so I could try it. They brought it out and I sampled it...then a few minutes later they came out wanting to take it away because the cooks realized that they didn't make it GF. WTF??

Light, fluffy waffles that don't taste GF, tasty scrambles, delicious smoothies and friendly, genuinely welcoming owners. Tiny and can be difficult to find (it's across from Ringside Steakhouse and Goodwill on Burnside), but definitely worth it!

Utterly amazing! It's a crowded little shop, but the owners are very welcoming and the food is fabulous...and eveything is gluten-free! I had shrimp focaccia, which was out of this world delicious, and a tasty little salted caramel and apple tart. My husband, who is not GF and is decidedly ambivalent on GF food, was VERY impressed with everything he tried, and even bought a seeded baguette and a cheddar biscuit of his own volition. Highly recommended!

Delicious food...their new GF breaded chicken sandwich is amazing! The GF chef and his wife are friendly and down to earth. Only drawback is that they're not closer to me ;)
