About Me

Love to travel

  • Razzi's Pizzeria

    5 starsAugust 20, 2015

    8523 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103

This is the most fantastic place. They were even able to accommodate my multiple allergies. I had a terrific, gluten free, vegan, sugar free, yeast free fabulous tasting pizza. That was in March and I just brought a large group of 26 people with allergies and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it! Going back next week and I don't even live near by, any reason to go here, it's the best.

  • Gló

    5 starsApril 27, 2015

    Laugavegur 20b, 101 Reykjavik, Iceland 101

Fabulous food. I ate here 3 times while I was here in 2 days. Friendly for vegan, vegetarian, raw and gluten free. I was told they have other locations. I'll be back in a couple weeks and will come here again. Order, pay and take your food to your seat. Out dirty dishes on the counter near the cashier just opposite where you pay. If you need it, they have a wifi code good for 2 hours. Adding photos so you can see the presentation.

  • Corner Cafe

    4 starsApril 13, 2015

203 East Seltice Way, Post Falls, ID 83854

Gave a 4 because it's not dedicated but higher than a 3 because he owner was fabulous at describing what they had available and has grown the menu since the beg. of the year due to the requests and need of the customer. The waitress we had didn't know how to answer all our questions (we had many because we are Celiac) so she brought the manager over who was able to accommodate my meal requests to avoid gluten, dairy, corn, lettuce, etc. (substituted spinach) all meals are made from scratch and it's very homey there. We were visiting from out of state.

  • Bonsai Bistro

    5 starsApril 12, 2015

    101 Sherman Ave, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814

Extensive menu, tastes great. I had the veggie tofu stir fry with the coconut peanut curry sauce. Normally I don't care for the yellow curry but they delivered great tasty meal. Be sure to ask for the dish to be made GF the indicator on the menu means they can make it that way, but it may not necessarily be made in the original recipe that way. They also has to avoid dairy, eggs, green beans and corn. Well done. Too bad I don't live closer. I enjoyed it.

  • P.F. Chang's

    1 starsApril 02, 2015

400 Pine Street, Seattle, WA 98101

I had 2 out of 3 times I was served gluten soy sauce. Once I noticed it and the other 2 I didn't but wondered why my meal wasn't charged. I later knew.

  • E&O Asian Kitchen

    3 starsMarch 28, 2015

314 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA 94108

I need to eat GF and no dairy or egg or yeast but can eat fish. They had Phad Thai that's very unique tasting, it has white fish and I had the egg or preserved radish fermented). There aren't a lot of options for me but the waiter was extremely knowledgeable when I mentioned Celiac. He said he would tell the chef and they would be sure of no cross contamination and its prepared in a separate area. It was tasty. I'm a visitor but don't think I'll be back during this trip with such limited options for me. It was Friday night we made a reservation for 8:30 pm and it was extremely noisy.

  • Thai Chili Restaurant

    5 starsJanuary 13, 2015

    120 Washington Ave N, Kent, WA 98032

Very tasty and a variety of options with knowledgeable staff. The curry salmon was particularly tasty. The food tastes delicious and as though it is made with great care. It's not a dedicated kitchen but I am Celiac and had no issues. I look forward to going back soon.

  • O'Grady's Pantry and Mercantile

    3 starsJanuary 01, 2015

7375 Icicle Road, Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, Leavenworth, WA 98826

Updated as of 12/27/14 disappointed to learn they do not have dedicated toasters so be careful with cross contamination issues. I now have to avoid other items such as dairy, eggs, corn and was able to ask them to create a salad, cutting the veggies on a plate & changing gloves before they made the lunch. No other options available. Unless I call first to find out what food options are avail, probably won't go back. My cousin and I enjoyed a delicious lunch in this quiet spot near the bottom of Icicle Road. It's worth the few minutes drive off Highway 2. They served gluten free vegetarian soup and toasted buttered bread (2 different kinds) and their lattes are great too. I've been here many times before and make it a regular destination when staying or passing through the Bavarian town of Leavenworth in Central Washington State.

  • Simply Thai

    4 starsDecember 15, 2014

    235 Strander Boulevard #140, Tukwila, WA 98188

The food here is terrific. I would have rated 5 for food but rating of 4 because they do not have s gluten free menu or marked on the menu. Be sure to speak a manager, let them know what allergies you have, and they are very willing to accommodate. I have multiple allergies of gluten, dairy and more and they were able to offer the red curry (it's made with fish sauce containing anchovies if you need to know) served with rice and extremely flavorful. Fyi- not a dedicated kitchen

  • Pho 7

    4 starsAugust 16, 2014

  • McGlinn's Public House

    3 starsAugust 09, 2014

111 Orondo Avenue, Wenatchee, WA 98801

They offer GF pizza and pasta. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and willing to make an adjustment for no dairy too on my Thai Chicken Pizza. The GF pizza crust is thin, not the best I've had but what I enjoyed the most was being out with my friends where all had food options. Thanks McGinn's for providing GF food. I'll come back when visiting our friends and try the pasta.

  • Trumpeter Public House

    5 starsJuly 12, 2014

416 Myrtle St, Mt Vernon, WA 98273

Excellent Fish & Chips (nicely seasoned). In truly think it's one of the best F&C meals I've ever had. All their fryers are dedicated gluten free and almost all the meals can be converted to GF. Friendly staff is knowledgeable and owner supports Celiac friendly place. Salmon steak good too service with wild rice pilaf and we finished with flourless chocolate cake topped with small scoop of ice cream. All delicious and when we're visiting this area, this is definitely on our list for food, drink selection and ambiance.

  • 5b's Bakery

    5 starsJune 08, 2014

45597 Main St, Main St, Concrete, WA 98237

Excellent food. Came across this dedicated gluten free bakery that's more than a bakery. Today, we ordered a Sunday brunch special of veggie quiche, salad served with a blueberry focaccia bread. Another person ordered a Monte Cristo sandwich, also excellent. Took home savory pies, a cookie and blueberry pie. Looking forward to going back!

  • Altaye Ethiopian Restaurant

    5 starsApril 12, 2014

8135 Rainier Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98118

This was an excellent meal. We had the vegetarian dish that had a sample of many different dishes and served with very tasty injera. It's so nice to have a meal with a bread. I'll be coming back here, the family that runs the restaurant is very friendly, sweet and make excellent healthy food.

  • I love my Gluten Free Food

    5 starsMarch 31, 2014

    Seattle, WA

Just found this food cart walking by today. Freshly made quinoa bowls with many options. On Monday & Wednesday they're at the corner of Minor & Madison Streets on the NE corner. The staff was amazingly friendly and they said they are located in other parts of the city on different days - check the website www.ilovemygff.com

  • Naked Pizza

    3 starsFebruary 18, 2014

417 Ramsay Way, Kent, WA 98032

Updating my post from Feb 2013, the pizza isn't very good any longer and when had to bake it a little longer at my request they placed it on a screen exposing it openly to other items that would have baked. They really need to have a dedicated oven so they can make a better pizza. They've taken the time to provide separate ingredients, sad they can't bake them that way too. We've eaten here at Kent Station 4 times, I am Celiac and I've not had a reaction. They explained they have a dedicated station where they create the pizzas, the staff put on new gloves and pizza is baked in a covered dish in the same ovens as the non-gluten pizzas but over to one side. It's just during the last 5 minutes they explained, they remove the lid to help slightly brown the pizza and it remains in the pan so it's not touching the same surface. It tastes great, everything's very fresh, and always had great service.

  • Gotta B Gluten Free

    5 starsFebruary 14, 2014

215 Northwest Hill Street, Bend, OR 97701

  • Chaco Canyon Organic Cafe

    5 starsJanuary 17, 2014

3770 Southwest Alaska Street, Seattle, WA 98126

We really liked the food and many options for gluten free, 100% vegan and allergy conscious. GF food prepared in separate kitchen. They offer fresh smoothies (yum) and I had the Thai Peanut Bowl served with Quinoa.the veggies in the dish were very favorable. In the UDistrict just off I-5 @ 50th street.

  • Root Down

    5 starsJanuary 04, 2014

8500 Peña Boulevard, Jeppesen Terminal, Denver, CO 80249

The food was good. I decided to try a couple items listed as GF Thai Carrot Curry & Sweet Potato Waffle Fries. They had numerous options to choose from plus beer and it was recommended to have the Portland brewed beer Omission vs local for the taste. I love the funky decor. Dessert was Banana Cream Pie with a peanut butter & chocolate crispy crust, fabulous & big enough for 2 people. Service fast & staff very friendly and willing to accommodate allergies, just tell them and they alert the chef.

  • Coyote's Southwestern Grill

    5 starsDecember 22, 2013

    5250 W 9th St Dr, Greeley, CO 80634

The food here was fabulous and how fun to be able to have chips. & salsa with the rest of my family and not be left out. Was even able to order sour cream. & guacamole to accompany the chips and as a side dish. I had the spicy line tacos and thought they were great.

  • California Pizza Kitchen

    5 starsDecember 15, 2013

150 Andover Park West, Tukwila, WA 98188

Great pizza and the staff was super cautious with Gluten Free food handling to be sure he had it right, including making sure nothing had come in contact with my lemon for my hot water. Impressive food and the server was great attentive, conscientious! We'll be back.

  • Kastoori Grill

    5 starsDecember 06, 2013

94 Stewart Street, Seattle, WA 98101

Excellent number of GF choices, very tasty and reasonably priced. I'll be coming back. Suggest using the word wheat that you're trying to avoid vs gluten that staff may not understand.

  • Outback Steakhouse

    5 starsNovember 25, 2013

    3645 S. Virginia Street, Reno, NV 89502

GIG Certified, this Outback had very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Aaron was our waiter and he was great at making suggestions and told how he enjoyed the chocolate brownie dessert too. When I'm in Reno, I will go back here.

    5 starsNovember 22, 2013

I was surprised by my office throwing me a surprise birthday party with all delectable gluten free treats including, choc chip and peanut butter cookies, brownies and meringue cake topped with fresh fruit and flowers and served with raspberry topping. Can't wait til I come back for another visit to this area and sample more treats.

  • California Pizza Kitchen

  • Curry & Kabab

    5 starsNovember 10, 2013

    24023 104th Avenue Southeast, Kent, WA 98030

Excellent food, wait staff were able to tell me which options were available in Gluten Free and some items are marked GF on the menu. If you're not sure, just ask. They offer corn Roti's as an alternative to naan.

  • Wild Ginger

    4 starsOctober 22, 2013

    1401 3rd Ave, Seattle, WA 98101

I eat here regularly. I like the curry eggplant and the lime Sea Bass with lettuce leaves. Staff very knowledgable about allergies. Dessert available too!

  • Trader Joe's

    5 starsOctober 22, 2013

85 Oakway Center, Eugene, OR 97401

Just like all Trader Joes, a number of options. I was able to get gluten free cookies for a family visit along with regular treats so everyone had something to snack on.

  • Mucho Gusto Mexican Kitchen

    3 starsOctober 22, 2013

67 Oakway Center, Eugene, OR 97401

Not a good place for someone who has Celiac because cross contamination is really high. I ate here and the food was good but I was traveling and asked the server behind the counter to change his gloves. He did but then put the corn tortilla on the same spot on grill my brother's wheat tortilla had just been. I said that wouldn't do so he apologized, tossed it out and then heated 2 in the microwave. I chose what I wanted beans, rice, etc and he took it from new supplies kept in the fridge to avoid the cross contamination. I didn't have any reaction but still they're very busy so be prepared to help them know what you need.

  • Original Roadhouse Grill

    4 starsOctober 22, 2013

3018 Gateway Street, Springfield, OR 97477

The food was great, waitress knowledge and all staff very attentive. My elderly Aunt and I shared the half roasted chicken (it's a large portion, she took half of hers home) with steamed broccoli, done to perfection and added a side salad for $2.49. My brother had a steak that he kept raving about which was gluten free served with potatoes and broccoli. Gave it a 4 vs 5 because they don't have dedicated kitchen space & no dessert offerings that I could see on the GF menu.

  • Sweet Marie's Hawaii

    5 starsOctober 06, 2013

3-4251 Kuhio Highway, Līhuʻe, HI 96766

Fabulous food and so amazing it's completely gluten free. I tried many items and even pre-ordered my sandwich on the morning of my flight (2 miles from Lihue airport) when they opened so I knew what the specials were. The cafe is located next to the old Lihue Theatre marquis and next to Hilo Hattie's. I mention this because the Google maps tried to take me to Rice St. which is incorrect. Tried morning glory muffins ( my fav), snicker doodle, brownies, chicken salad sandwich, potato salad.

  • Lou Malnati's Pizzeria

    5 starsSeptember 07, 2013

    1120 N State St, Chicago, IL 60610

My friend and I had pizza on August 24, 2013 while each of us had separately come into Chicago. This pizzeria was recommended by a local and was so good. It's a really popular place, be sure to tell the person where you order it needs to be GF and also your server. I thought staff where knowledgeable and knew not to ask me if I wanted the house bread. The advance ordering before sitting down saves time, we were in and out within an hour.

  • Garlic Jim's

    5 starsSeptember 01, 2013

Chennault Beach Plaza 10924 Mukilteo Speedway, Suite D, Mukilteo, WA 98275

The pizza here was excellent as they have been so far for me at Garlic Jim restaurants. FYI - This franchise serves only Large size in the GF pizza which surprised me because others I've been to only offered medium. You may want to confirm what size is available when you order.

  • Basil Cafe

    5 starsSeptember 01, 2013

5603 Bayview Road, Langley, WA 98260

The curry chicken on the extensive (2 pages!) of gluten free options was excellent and has a small bowl of rice on the side. True to the restaurant's name, the basil served on top the dish was very flavorful.

  • Karyn's on Green

    5 starsAugust 25, 2013

    130 S Green St, Chicago, IL 60607

Karyn's on Green has a number of things going for it. First, it's entirely vegan but don't dismiss it, it 's full of flavor and they clearly mark GF, soy and nut free items on the menu. I enjoyed breakfast today of tofu scramble and hash browns that anyone would enjoy. They have numerous alcoholic beverages (not something I drink) but have mock-tail drinks that looked unique and interesting. Today's Sunday brunch also offered the ability to order a plate (small or large) of 2 different GF bakery items. Reasonably priced and about 7 blocks west of Union Station. I would go back, even though they don't offer coffee.

  • Makers' Mercantile and RylieCakes

    5 starsAugust 13, 2013

Thanks to the Executive Chef Russell Bradshaw, the menu in the Wolf Creek Bar & Grill has been expanded and has gluten free options at Lunch and Dinner. Gluten Free Breakfast is also available in the dining room. The food was very tasty, nicely presented and a variety of options. Also - the GF cookies are served warm with milk and taste delicious.

  • Boka Restaurant & Bar

    5 starsMay 11, 2013

    1010 1st Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104

The menu is limited to a couple of items but staff are knowledgeable about the items and explained how GF fries take a little longer because they need time to prepare a separate fryer. NW Fish Tacos and fries were excellent and friendly staff. I will be back.

  • Himitsu Teriyaki

    5 starsMarch 03, 2013

    10216 Southeast 256th Street #110, Kent, WA 98030

Very good food, friendly staff and offers tasty vegetarian too! In the same plaza with businesses offering GF desserts too.

  • Haley's Corner Bakery

    4 starsMarch 03, 2013

    10216 Southeast 256th Street #111, Kent, WA 98030

I appreciate the gluten free variety and like buying the pizza dough so I can put on my own toppings. The ready-to-cook pizzas are good too and i ask for light cheese when i do. Only gave it a 4 because I like the items I've purchased but not a fan of the loaf bread for the price and separately I've been told they won't offer oatmeal cookies (my all-time favorite) because they can't buy the GF oatmeal. Again appreciate the GF facility!!

  • Luther's Table

    5 starsMarch 03, 2013

    419 S 2nd St #1, Renton, WA 98057

  • Melvin's Fir Street Market

    5 starsFebruary 17, 2013

160 South Fir Street, Sisters, OR 97759

Grocery market offering many gluten free grocery items. Many items are marked with a tag showing gluten-free. We chose to buy Thai Chili Sauce marked GF on its label. Thank you Melvin's for offering GF and organic products too.

  • The Depot Cafe

    1 starsFebruary 17, 2013

    250 W Cascade Ave, Sisters, OR 97759

Disappointing. They do not have a gluten free menu but could offer to substitute a bun or bread on their sandwich. We chose not to eat here.

  • Outback Steakhouse

    5 starsFebruary 16, 2013

16510 Southcenter Parkway, Tukwila, WA 98188

This restaurant has always been good and it's so wonderful to have staff that understands what gluten free means and is very careful. I've never had a reaction at this location and have found the staff very efficient.

  • Punjab Sweets

    5 starsFebruary 16, 2013

    23617 104th Ave SE, Kent, WA 98031

They do a great job of letting you know which dishes are gluten free and many are. They offer corn roti instead of wheat and have entrees, rice dishes and desserts and they are all terrific. Thank you!!

  • La Conner Seafood & Prime Rib House

    4 starsFebruary 10, 2013

    614 S 1st St, La Conner, WA 98257

  • Iron Rabbit

    4 starsDecember 23, 2012

2103 Harrison Ave NW #1, Olympia, WA 98502

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about gluten free options and they have a separate GF menu, just ask. The Thai Curry was very good, the Eggplant Polenta, my first choice was not. as it was very bitter with a tomato paste style topping (not tomato sauce) but staff switched it for me which I thought was excellent. Presentation of the meal was great. I rated 4 vs 5 only because of the flavor of the polenta dish. Might be back to try flourless brownie. We were passing through on a Sunday afternoon.

  • Eden B. Bakery

    5 starsDecember 19, 2012

    120 116th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98004

I love this bakery and have enjoyed everything I've eaten. I am newly diagnosed with Celiac Disease and a Foodie so I am always in search of the best tasting food. For my 55th birthday I ordered a wjole Carrot Cake and it's the best I've EVER tasted. My friends also commented how it was so moist, flavorful and chocked full of nuts. They were amazed it was gluten-free. A real treat!! Thank you!

  • P.F. Chang's

    3 starsDecember 11, 2012

Fashion Valley Mall, 7077 Friars Rd., San Diego, CA 92108

Ordering GF Buddah's feast and very surprised the chain can't offer GF tofu so those eating vegetarian can have protein same as the non GF menu. Service was very slow at 1:30 in the afternoon. If they bring you GF food, be sure it has PF Chang's name on the dish and GF soy sauce should be served in a red cup vs. white.

  • The Mission

    5 starsDecember 11, 2012

    1250 J St, San Diego, CA 92101

The turkey sandwich with gkuten free rosemary bread was a large sized sandwich and icluded fresh tomatoes and lettuce. Separately they serve a salad included and everything tasted really good as was fresh. We did our sandwiches as take away and called ahead to pick up on our way to the San Diego Int'l Airport since the airport does not offer gluten free options. I will go back again!! If you go to eat inside on a Sunday morning for brunch or lunch, give yourself plenty of time. Not much else available in the area and the food is good.

  • Sprouts

    5 starsDecember 11, 2012

4439 Genesee Ave, San Diego, CA 92117

If I lived here, this would be one of my favorite stores. When I asked a young man stocking shelves where I could find the GF items, he walked me over to where they were located. A shelf with GF items on all 4 sides! He also said they can be found throughout the store and to look for a tag labeled gluten free.

  • Cozymel's Coastal Mex

    4 starsDecember 11, 2012

4303 La Jolla Village Dr, San Diego, CA 92122

The waitress we had was extremely knowledgeable about gluten free items and checked with the chef about one of the items when she was not sure. The food tasted good (corn tortillas and black beans, note - the refried beans are not GF) . I would go back again.

  • Katrina's Cafe

    3 starsDecember 01, 2012

456 Grass Valley Hwy, Auburn, CA 95603

No dedicated GF menu, server did not seem knowledgeable about cross-contamination and except for reading the prior review, I would not have known to ask for the GF bread. Aside from that, my husband & I are traveling in CA and found the omelettes large and tasty. One last note, they only accept cash or check per the sign on the front door.

  • Coffee & A Specialty Bakery

    5 starsOctober 30, 2012

1500 Western Ave, Seattle, WA 98101

Today I met and spoke with Tonyia Smith (Executive Chef) and Dedrick Hairston (Barista Manager) after being served the most delicious Vegan Chili accompanied by a warmed mini bread loaf. They only feature gluten-free items and this is my second time in the bakery. I also indulged in a dessert of pumpkin cheesecake and plan to return tomorrow for a sandwich. I would recommend this business located in the lower section of Downtown Seattle's Famous Pike Place Market. Also find them at www.coffeeandpikeplace.com

  • Whole Foods

    5 starsAugust 18, 2012

2210 Westlake Ave, Seattle, WA 98121

Fresh products in the bakery, on the shelves and in the freezer. if this is new for you to look for gluten-free, ask the staff, they are really helpful!
