To GFdiner, Wow really! Your husband came in and my manager talked to him for 15-20 minutes and they both even ate a piece of cake together and agreed there was no issue with the cake itself. He agreed that he didn't take the cake from the refrigerator long enough to come to room temperature and the piece that your husband and my manager ate were soft. I even tried a piece when I got back that afternoon and saw no problem. We also save the tops of the cakes to use for our cake pops. I still had the tops from your cake which were still very soft. Also as far as the taste I accommodated your request of a vanilla cake with lemon center (stated to your husband that it would be lemon frosting with zest since lemon curd requires eggs, which we do not use on our bakery.) He also chose chocolate frosting, as per your request which is NOT a flavor combination I would put together but that is what he wanted. We responded to your email this afternoon and have not heard back from you privately. The least you could do is reply to me and not write such untrue review and to paint a picture that we are so unreasonable and have bad customer service. Your husband left happy and satisfied and even said that he would be back and thanked us for the time we spent to discuss this issue. So if he truly was still upset I don’t believe he would have said that to my manager. We all work hard at Gluten Free Cutie to bring the best desserts and customer service and for you to say that we need to learn how to give good customer service is ridiculous. We have served repeat customers happily since we opened nearly two years ago. Poor customer service does not generate the kind of loyalty we experience at Gluten Free Cutie. We appreciate our customers and work hard to make sure they are happy.
