While they're GF within the letter of the law, I don't count taking 4 items off the regular menu like 'salmon, but ask for no sauce' and 'salad, but ask for no croutons (and ask for just oil and vinegar) truly a GF restaurant. Especially when the restaurant is known for it's homemade pastas and pizza. PS- unless you want your kids to eat filet mignon or cod (ask for no breadcrumbs or sauce), they're going to be stuck with the sausage soup... and no, I'm not making up the sausage soup.

This place is A-MAZING! Everything they make at this point is only for guests, but's it's gourmet, and their gluten free menu is baked fresh every day. It's a high-end B&B, so it was more expensive than we were planning, but we figured that we were saving $40-$50/day on the full, GF breakfast for our family of four. They said that they are planning to expand to brunches for non-guests in the near future. :-) The only full meal that they serve is breakfast, but they have cookies, muffins, etc. (both gluten and gluten-free, with helpful labels and separate plates) pretty much all day long, and there's a friendly gathering around tea time. There were even days where they had to hide the GF baked goods, bc non-GF guests were eating them! (They're that good! :-) There's nothing like staying somewhere that has warm, fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies waiting in your room... that your children can actually eat!!!They ask that you tell them in advance what your allergy needs are, so that they can plan their menu in advance. It's worth it!!!

The gf pasta was limited to penne, but the staff was very friendly, and willing to work to accommodate us. Entrees ran about $16, and there were a zillion combinations of seafood, vegetables, cheese, etc. They have an extensive risotto menu as well.

We bought sandwiches on GF bread, which they grilled. Yum!!!It's a gourmet/fresh, local market that packs a mean picnic. :-)

The owner/Innkeeper simply couldn't be more accommodating or friendly. :-) She had Pamela's baking mix, and when we declined the pancake special, because we're gluten free, she cheerfully announced that whipping up a fresh batch of GF pancakes would only take a minute. Bless her! The pancakes were light and fluffy- she said replacing some of the water called for with seltzer was the secret. **Note** they only do breakfast, and only for guests, but if you're going to Tanglewood, stay here!

They can make any dish gluten free by substituting the noodles. They also have vegan options that are soy based, not wheat... And are DELICIOUS!

Best GF pizza we've had in the are, but we haven't tried Mondo's, yet. It's thin crust, which we love!

A-MAZING! Fresh baked goods are homemade on the premises. The family that owns it has gluten free family members, so they know what they're doing!
