All meats, rubs, sauces, and all but one of the sides are gluten free. They even have gluten free bread and dessert. Tell them you are gluten free and they will assemble your plate in a location well away from the regular bread storage. I thought the ribs and brisket were great! As were the baked beans and collards. Not so much a fan of the pulled pork, but I grew up eating Lexington, NC pork BBQ.

Gluten free menu and knowledgeable staff. The smoked meats and sauces are gluten free as are a number of their sides. I was advised that if I ordered ribs that the glaze on them did contain gluten (soy sauce), but they could be served without the glaze. Being a Carolina girl, I ordered the pulled pork plate with collard greens. The pulled pork had a gentle, smokey flavor. They have two sauces, a traditional, thick and sweet red sauce and a Carolina/Georgia vinegar sauce - both are gluten free.

Fantastic food!! I was in town attending a week-long conference and ate a lunch and supper here. The staff were very much aware of gluten issues and very helpful to me when I was ordering. The food was truly amazing and safe.

Another Jenny Levison masterpiece! Juicy Jenny serves freshly made organic superfood juices and smoothies along with 100% gluten free and vegan snacks, baked goods (muffins, whoopie pies, cookies), dips, small salads, and collard green wraps. No wheat products ever enter the premises and everything is made on the premises. I've tried a pumpkin pecan muffin, chocolate whoopie pie, raw cashew humus, the Hot and Flashy juice, the Five Pounds of Veggies juice, but my favorite is the Dark Chocolate Madness smoothie - made with organic kale, organic spinach, organic raw cacao powder, organic cacao nibs, banana, hemp and flax seed, almond milk, and chocolate vega protein powder (it haunts my dreams). No matter what I eat at any of Jenny's establishments (Souper Jenny, Cafe Jonah, and now Juicy Jenny), I always feel like I have done something healthy for my body that tastes great, too!

Besides the Thai cellophane noodle salad (which was excellent with the added grilled shrimp), I was informed that they can prepare almost all of their grilled or sautéed fish entrees gluten free in a separate pan.

Gluten-free friendly restaurant. One of the owners has a gluten intolerance and was very helpful with the menu. They use a gluten-free cornmeal batter on their fried fish and oysters (no French fries or other items fried that could contaminate the oil). I had an excellent gluten free jambalaya. The shrimp here are perfectly prepared.

Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about gluten issues. Very good service. Food was average. Important note: menu changed as of 9/17/2012 - the shredded beef and the refried pinto beans on the gluten free menu online are no longer gluten free (black beans are still gluten free).

Located in the Sweet Auburn Market. Arepa Mia's arepas are delicious Venezuelan sandwiches made with 100% corn masa stuffed with organic, locally grown grilled/sauteed veggies, imported cheeses (optional), and locally produced meats. The vegetarian arepa changes daily based on the veggies in season. One of my favorites is the pernil which is stuffed with slow roasted local pork, carmelized onions, and topped with a corn and hot pepper sauce. The fried plantains and yucca chips (no breading) are great. The Sweet Auburn market has free parking - just remember to get your ticket validated by Arepa Mia or one of the other vendors. There is very easy access from the interstate. I eat here at least once a week. The owner and her staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about food allergies.

Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Service was great, and the food was amazing!! I had the lamb kabob entree which comes with a rice dish, some grilled veggies, humus and a house salad. They also have a great selection of gluten free desserts. I highly recommend the "Slice of Heaven" gluten free cake. My entree came with three slices of this to-die-for gluten free cheese bread. The restaurant gets it from the Silly Yak Bakery which is also in Madison. The bakery has extensive gluten free baked goods available for sale and shipping nationwide online. So, I scored twice in finding this restaurant. Thanks!!
