Very good, quality ingredients. They changed their gloves to prepare my rice plate and my gluten-free pita was prepared in foil to avoid cross-contamination. Their tahina and spicy sauces are gluten-free.

Great GF menu with lots of options. I had a pasta dish, which was really good.

Pizza was pretty good, but not the best. The crust was soft and a little soggy, but it tasted pretty good, so it's a nice option to have.

This location was great - a dedicated person washed his hands and changed his gloves just for me and prepared my entire plate himself. They also have gluten-free pita, which they toasted on a separate hot plate. The food was delicious. I was seriously impressed.

Absolutely delicious GF pancakes, and you get a huge serving--I usually set aside half the order to take home and freeze to eat later. I've also ordered eggs and hashbrowns, which are also very good.

I had the beef fried rice and it was pretty good, but not great. Honestly, it was way better reheated and with GF soy sauce added, which thankfully I had at home. I live far away, so I bought two large orders so I could freeze some and reheat later. I'm moreso just happy to be able to have some Chinese food again.

Really great GF pizza! My hubby and I were even able to order the potato skins appetizer because our server made sure they were cooked in an oven rather than being fried--it was VERY nice of her to be so accommodating and we really appreciated it. We'd happily return.

They usually have GF cupcakes available every Friday. I've only had the Butterfinger flavor so far, but it was delicious. You might want to call first to ask them if they still have any left and/or to hold one for you in case they run out--they usually go pretty quick.

Ask about which of their salad dressings are gluten-free and they can make a fresh tossed salad for you. I usually get the cob salad, which is delish. They use a new bowl and spoon for each salad they toss. This location also has a GF pizza they cook for you on a separate pan in the stone pizza oven. They usually have special GF pizza toppings available, like pepperoni or sausage, but I usually get cheese and spinach. Ask for them to cook it longer than usual--the middle of the pizza can get soggy because it's cooked on a separate pan rather than directly on the stone. Only problem is this place gets pretty crazy during lunch time.

Never had a problem with eating at this location. Only problem is it gets CRAZY busy at lunch time and the line is almost out the door. The line does move fast though. My only complaint is that their chips tend to be on the stale side....

Very yummy GF pancakes--although they were a bit on the overdone site; the server said they sometimes need to cook them longer to ensure the centers are done. The server also said they have GF toast but I didn't try it. I don't remember seeing GF waffles on the menu. I had an omelet and breakfast potatoes with pancakes on the side. I'm sure I could have also had a skillet or even just eggs and bacon or sausage with no problems. Everything was delicious--wish I lived in the area so I could go back more often!

This is probably my favorite restaurant. My husband and I always take a trip downtown for my birthday so we can have dinner here. Even before I went GF. It is a meat-lover's paradise. They are incredibly accommodating. Just notify your server that you need to eat GF and they send the manager over to let you know what very few things you should not eat. When I went, the only things I couldn't eat were the salad dressings (because they are not made in house and therefore they cannot guarantee their safety), a pasta salad on the salad bar, and chicken that is marinated in beer. EVERYTHING else is safe to eat: HUGE and delicious salad bar (I use balsamic vinegar in place of the dressing), endless amounts of meats, fried polenta, caramelized bananas, mashed potatoes, and best of all the Brazilian cheese bread. In my opinion, this place is simply the best.

Delicious. SO happy I found this place. They're very accommodating! Just tell the checkout person that you have a gluten allergy and they will inform the people preparing the food. They will serve your burger in a lettuce wrap in a separate container. Their fries are gluten-free and thin and crispy and AH-mazing. Bonus: my whole meal (burger, fries, and a pop) was less than $10 bucks - not bad for lunch in the city.

Love this place. Their menu says they can make substitutions to pretty much any dish to make it gluten-free, vegetarian, and/or vegan if it's not already. Just ask when you order. You can also specify how mild or spicy you want your dish. My favorite is the shrimp paste fried rice - delicious. We've had a few business lunches here too - the atmosphere is nice. They offer both dine in and carry out (you can call ahead to place a carry-out order). Everyone I've brought there says this place is a "gem," so give it a try!

This was my husband's favorite pizza place growing up. On a whim, we recently checked their website to see if they happened to have gluten-free pizza. Happily they do! The pizza was delicious. Highly recommend it. It's also a really fun place to eat at with a nice atmosphere. Family-friendly with a couple arcade games.

This place is great!! They have wraps, salads, and bowls, and a lot of them feature quinoa. A lot of items, including all of the quinoa bowls, are naturally gluten-free. Their menu features a little GF icon next to any items that are gluten-free. Plenty of vegan options are also available and indicated on their menu with a little V icon. Complete nutrition information is listed on their menu as well. Highly recommended!

Gluten-free menu is a little confusing. You'll have to ask the server for some clarification. I was able to have a burger with a GF bun, which was good and the burger was yummy and well-cooked. You can't eat their waffle fries/chips though because they're fried in a shared frier. They offered me broccoli as a substitute, which was okay.

Their GF menu is very limited. And the knowledge of the staff and management at this location appeared limited too. It took forever for the manager to try to figure out if one of the sauces was safe, and I never even got a straight answer, so I had to forego it. I had fish tacos, which were dry (because of no sauce!) and not that great. My husband had a chimichanga (not GF), which he said was kind of mushy and not very good at all. And the biggest bummer is that the tortilla chips are *not* GF. We won't be going back to this place.

I wasn't impressed. I had GF pasta with marinara sauce - one of the few things I could eat there. The pasta was overcooked and had broken apart into a million little pieces. For me, that mediocre meal was absolutely not worth sitting in front of a basket of delicious bread sticks that I couldn't eat. I can make MUCH better pasta at home. But if you get stuck having to go there for whatever reason (which was our case), it's nice to know there's something safe available for you to eat. If Olive Garden came up with a good GF version of their bread sticks, they'd have GF folks flocking to their restaurants...and I'd be first in line.

The gluten-free menu here is pretty good compared to other places I've been to. Lots of different burger options. (I usually get the one with bacon and a fried egg on top - YUM!) They now feature a gluten-free bun at the Gurnee location and it's delicious! I love being able to have a normal burger alongside nice, hot steak fries from a dedicated frier and not have to worry. Sad there aren't really any appetizer or dessert options, but if you're looking for a good, inexpensive dinner, this is your place.

This is our go-to restaurant. My husband and I love it. They don have 't a GF menu, but they have plenty of options - you just have to ask. All of their pasta sauces are GF, and they usually have two or three GF pastas to choose from. They have a GF house salad dressing and the homemade minestrone soup is GF. They have daily specials, and if you are interested in one, there's a good chance they can make it GF for you - again, just ask. If you have room for dessert, they have a GF flourless chocolate cake that's pretty good. The best part is how affordable this place is. I highly recommend for any occasion.

I am not a big fan of their GF pizza. It tastes pretty good at first, but after eating a piece or two, the crust begins to leave a very strange residue/texture in your mouth...it's hard to describe. But they deliver, so that's a plus if you are desperate.

  • Outback Steakhouse

Gluten-free menu is okay. My problem was that I ordered a chicken dish with shrimp and my server brought it out with a side of some kind of sauce. I wasn't sure what it was and asked if it was safe for me. Good thing I did because it wasn't gluten-free! Not very good service/knowledge there. The dish was just meh. We probably wouldn't go again.

  • Five Guys

Best fries EVER. Seriously. Fries are GF and the only things fried in the friers, so they are safe. The burgers are good. I always ask for a cheeseburger with no bun. The only problem is they wrap the burger, so the cheese can stick to the wrapper. But it's not a major issue. If you ask for extra lettuce that helps. When you order, tell them you have a gluten allergy and they audibly inform the rest of the team. They usually pack the gluten-free items separately from any regular orders, but be sure to ask that they do that if you are extra sensitive. Haven't tried the hit dogs yet, but they are safe as well.

Lots of gluten-free stuff available. There's a dedicated GF freezer case, a dedicated GF dry goods section, and lots of other specialty goodies littered throughout the store. There are some gluten-free foods that I can only find here. I feel super lucky to have multiple locations close to me.

    1801 N Hwy 21, Gurnee, IL 60031

Absolutely delicious gluten-free pizza. So far the best I've ever had. It comes in one size that's a very generous portion for one person. I contacted the owner and they informed me that their gluten-free pizza is cooked in the same oven as normal pizzas, but it is prepared and cooked in its own disposable pan. They use dedicated utensils to cut it and it's prepared by one person the entire way through to reduce the risk of cross-contamination. They informed me that there is always a risk due to flour in the area, but they do everything they can to keep everyone safe from that. We've always had great friendly service there. The only thing is that their dining area is small, so the wait for a table can be a little long, even during the week. But they do offer pick-up if you don't want to dine in. Overall highly recommended.
