We went last night and the wait staff said the chef has a family member who has a "gluten allergy." I'm not sure what exactly that meant but I knew they knew how to handle my food. They told me that they could adapt most anything on the menu. I stuck with my basic dinner out and had a ribeye, roasted red potatoes and green beans. I also had the choice of a bananas foster creme brûlée or a flan for dessert. I chose the flan for something different and it was amazing!!! I have found a new place to have a nice dinner out.

We stopped by here to have a hot chocolate and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they are now carrying homemade GF items. We purchased a cookie and they make a coffee cake but were out that day. I was also told that they have GF bread to make sandwiches. I spoke to the owner and she stated that they are very careful to avoid CC.

I went here for the first time today after reading about them having a tasty cheesecake. I had to see for myself if it was true. They do!! It's a crustless GF cheesecake. They have one of those stupid allergen lists instead of a GF menus, but it was easy to follow. I had a lunch of shrimp scampi, broiled chicken and mashed potatoes. I also shared the cheesecake with strawberries with my husband. It was a super tasty meal and I will go back again.

I have eaten here twice and both times have had great service. They do not have a specific GF menu, but the waitstaff can most certainly help with making a safe selection. The first time I ate here, I chose a pork chop and veggies. This most recent time I had a beautiful shrimp cocktail, shrimp scampi, a steak and veggies. They have a great wine list as well. I was scared that being a full blown pasta place, I'd be sick but I was fine both times.

They don't actually have a gluten free menu but they have the chef come to the table. He and I discussed options and we settled on a flat iron steak, grilled shrimp and mashed potatoes. They offered me a flourless chocolate cake and a GF cheesecake for dessert but I was full so I didn't try them. The food & service was really good.

    5 starsNovember 21, 2014

1095 South Rampart Boulevard, Las Vegas, NV 89145

I don't have a PF Chang's in my hometown so I try to eat at one whenever I'm traveling. We went to this one when visiting family in Las Vegas. The staff is always well trained and this one was the same as the rest. We had an assortment of GF plates and Gluten eaters at our table so when the cucumbers I ordered came out in a regular serving bowl I immediately noticed the mistake. I had ordered a GF cucumber and they brought me regular ones. The waitstaff were great about fixing it and they left the Gluten ones for the rest of the family as well. This is where knowing that the GF food at PF Chang's comes on white plates with black PF Chang's logos on them. If you keep that in mind, you'll always catch a mistake like that if it happens.

  • The Buffet at ARIA

    5 starsNovember 20, 2014

3743 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Based on other reviews, we decided to try this buffet and I'm so glad we did!! I really don't like buffet food in general (before going GF) so I was skeptical but I was pleasantly surprised. The quality of food was great. They had amazing stations and the fresh seafood station was top notch. Every item has a little placard and if it has a "G" it contains gluten. They mark Dairy, nuts, Seafood and vegetarian. So it's easy for all of us to see what we are eating. They have a sign that says GF pizza available on request. So I asked. OMG. They made me a WHOLE PIZZA!! It was beautiful. I wish I could of brought the rest back to my hotel with me. For dessert yesterday they had beautiful ice cream/sorbet options and 3 other desserts. Flan, oatmeal cookie and tiramisu. I haven't had tiramisu since going GF and it was amazing. For Gluten eaters the buffet is paradise... And for GF it was a super safe mini paradise. I really enjoyed it.

3930 South Las Vegas Boulevard #121A, Las Vegas, NV 89119

I had a lovely meal last night. I chose to build a burger and they had billions of options that you could put on it. I chose a Kobe beef burger with a gluten free bun, Swiss cheese, & bacon. I'm kind of a veggie hater but you could of went crazy with options. A fried egg, any veggie you want, truffles etc. I also got GF fries (dedicated fryer) and what they call hangover sauce. It's ketchup, mayo and relish mixed. They also carry Tito's vodka if you need a wheat free choice and several GF ciders and 2 GF beers. It was a great place.

  • CarneVino Italian Steakhouse

    3 starsNovember 19, 2014

3325 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

I had an amazing meal at this restaurant. I did have to ask several questions and felt like for such a fancy place, they should of had a few more options on the menu for food allergies. The food I had was prepared very well but the only option for dessert was some kind of sorbet. It was kind of a let down. We usually like to sit around and chat over dessert and having the only option be ice cream was sad. Having to ask so many questions when I'm not used to asking them about menus and a lame dessert menu are the reason for the 3 stars. As far as safe... 5 stars.

  • Chart House

    4 starsNovember 19, 2014

129 East Fremont Street, Las Vegas, NV 89101

Our server was well versed in gluten allergies and could help me choose exactly what I wanted off the gluten free menu. I ordered a lovely fish dish with a lemon sauce and mashed potatoes. I also ordered a creme brûlée for dessert. My husband ordered something not on the GF menu (he's not celiac) but they adapted his dish by switching sauces so we could share our food.

  • McCormick & Schmick's

    4 starsNovember 19, 2014

400 Commons Way, Bridgewater, NJ 08807

They had a pretty good gluten free menu. It had lots of fish and a few beef options on it. I chose a crab & shrimp stuffed salmon. We also ordered red pepper white cheddar mash and it was amazing. I didn't order dessert so I'm not sure if they have a GF option or not. They did have a creme brûlée in the standard menu so I would "assume" that would be ok, but I never discussed that with my server. It was a great meal.

I called before going for dinner to see if they had a Gluten Free menu. The lovely girl that answered the phone actually grabbed one and read me a few items off the menu. What service!! I made a reservation and we went later that night. There were several items available on the gluten free menu and we had a great dinner. The only thing I found slightly lacking was their dessert offerings. It was ice cream only. Overall, it was very good.

    3 starsMay 05, 2014

    2805 E Center St, Anderson, CA 96007

I always get a chicken taco on a corn tortilla and do ok. I can eat their chips as well. Be advised that they warm up their flour tortillas and corn tortillas one after the other on the same press. We eat here all the time since it's close to my home and places to eat in my town are limited. Every once in a while my stomach gets a tiny bit disturbed but that's maybe 1 out of 5 times. So it's probably cross contamination from the tortillas. The food is good and quick.

  • Kahunas Mongolian BBQ

    4 starsMay 05, 2014

2151 Market St, Redding, CA 96001

Went here yesterday and had a great meal. They have several Gluten Free sauces. I asked and all meats are just frozen, shaved meat... No spices. So it's safe. The veggies are safe. There is a list at the sauce station of the GF sauces. I did not spoon out those sauces due to potential cross contamination issues. I was 100% sure all of the sauces had dripped into each other. I asked and an employee ran to the back and got me a small serving of fresh GF teriyaki sauce. (It was amazing!!) The chefs then cleaned the grill before cooking my food. Everyone was offered white or brown rice. I couldn't eat the noodles that were offered and they looked amazing but the rice was fine. Next time, I'll have the waitstaff bring me 2 bowls of rice to pour into my bowl since my meat and veggies cooked down kind of small. It was a great meal.

  • Granzella's Restaurant

    5 starsMarch 14, 2014

This Deli is known to travelers for their amazing sandwiches. We stopped by today and I fully expected to get a bag of Doritos while my family ate sandwiches. I was going to grab a lame plain potato at a fast food place down the road. Imagine my surprise and excitement when they had "gluten free bread" on a piece of paper taped to the bread selections!! I got a roast beef sandwich just like the rest of my family. The woman taking to order was sure to ask of I had an "allergy" and took the time to inform the woman that was going to make my food. I love when a place takes the time to try to keep me safe!! This place makes A LOT of sandwiches per day so beware of flying crumbs, it's entirely possible. But I'm glad to be able to stop there again.

  • San Francisco Deli

This place has been in town forever. They do the absolute best sandwiches. I haven't been there in over 2 years since I've been diagnosed. I was near there with my daughter and took her in there for a quick lunch. I assumed I'd watch her eat. Lol. Boy, was I wrong. They have Udi's GF bread for us!! There was a super long line so I didn't get into a long discussion about cross contamination with them and quite frankly I wanted a fat, lovely sandwich. I got a beautiful one. So far I'm feeling great and plan to go back. I'm thrilled to find a place locally like this. They also had lovely plates made up with meat, veggies, potato salad and a deviled egg for $6.99. So I'm pretty sure those would be even safer.... I know full well all deli meat isn't GF so beware of that. But I've been craving something like this for over 2 years and it was worth it!!! Buyer Beware... But I was super happy with my visit. Updated Review. I've been twice and haven't had a reaction. The food is great!! I've had a roast beef sandwich on Udi's bread and a potato salad each time.

They only fry French Fries in their fryers so the fries are completely safe to eat. WooHoo!! Order your burger "protein style" (wrapped in lettuce) and you are good to go.

After reading what is safe to eat online, I always order a plain baked potato and a chili with cheese. I put the two together and it's a yummy, quick lunch. I've done this several times and never had a problem.

  • Applebee's

    2 starsSeptember 07, 2013

Their GF menu is just an allergy chart. It's hard (confusing) to order. I'm not real impressed. I've been twice and haven't been sick. But the worry over what to order takes the fun out of the experience. I'd much prefer a GF menu that outlines what I can eat in a straightforward fashion. That removes the guesswork about ingredients on individual dishes.

We ordered the BBQ GF pizza and it was amazing. It had sweet baby ray's BBQ sauce as the sauce and several meats on a great crust. It was delicious. They didn't have a huge gluten free selection, but what they did have was totally worth the visit.

This restaurant did not have a gluten free menu, but the waitress was really helpful and informed on their Gluten Free options. I wanted the pork chop dish and she said I could have it minus the apple chutney. I also asked about the garlic mashed potatoes and she immediately said no but offered a baked potato. My meal was amazing and I had no reaction. I really appreciated her being so knowledgeable about their menu.

  • Mad Dash Pizza

    5 starsJune 26, 2013

2391 Cohasset Road, Chico, CA 95926

Mad Dash offers a Gluten Free Pizza Crust. I had the meat pizza minus the meatballs which the employee said contained gluten. She said everything else was gluten free on that pizza. The crust was great. It was a thin crust pizza. The price is inexpensive as well. I usually react to 20ppm so I was a bit scared but I had no reaction. Lets face it. I love business's doing gluten free for us but a business that does a majority of it's business in regular flour is asking for cross contamination. I eat at my own risk. I will be back!!!

I just had raspberry chipotle chicken tacos. The original person taking my order didn't ask if I was gluten free, but I ordered them on corn tortillas. The second person helping asked if I was gluten free and actually re-made them with cheese from the other side of the counter. I loved that. It was my first time there and I wasn't aware they had a second station for gluten free folks to avoid cross contamination. Good info to know!!! Thanks for an awesome meal!!!

They do have a GF menu. But it's VERY LIMITED. You can have the salad minus the crutons. It is an amazing salad. But salad alone? There are 2 pasta dishes with red sauce for like $13. Boring and kind of expensive of something I could do better at home. There was also a chicken or pork dish... I forget which one. It was like $15. Boring menu... It was truly the first restaurant that I knew I had celiac and I was being treated differently. I actually felt left out and slightly sad... I won't go back.

    4 starsApril 26, 2013

    2644 North St # A, Anderson, CA 96007

We walked in this frozen yogurt place recently and were greeted by a friendly young woman. You buy a certain priced cup of yogurt and all toppings that you can place on top are included in the per cup price. It's nice to not be "weighed". They have an allergen binder as you walk in so you are well informed as to what yogurt has gluten. Here's my reason for 4 stars. The butterfinger had some cookie crumbs in it...it was placed right next to the Oreo. I could see them from other customers dipping the spoon into each and cross contaminating it. This cannot be helped due to the type of topping bar they have and I'll be happy to use some fresh fruit that's kept far away from the gluten stuff or a GF sauce that comes out of a squeeze bottle.

I've eaten here 2x. Once I got sick, once was perfect... Let me explain. I ordered off the GF menu both times. The first time the waiter said the sweet potato fries were "fine". Ugh... Guess not... Second time... Knowledge is power... All fries are fine IF they are done in the dedicated fryer. That's what I thought I was getting on the first visit. You must request them out of the dedicated fryer even when ordering off the GF menu. And ALLERGY FOOD comes in a yellow basket. Not the regular red one. So first visit I got regular food and sick... Second visit... 5 stars!!! Knowledge is Power!!

I've eaten the pizza from the Anderson Mary's several times. They have thin, gluten free crust and a list of gluten free toppings. I've never gotten sick from their GF pizza. It was a thrill to finally eat a pizza locally!! The staff seems very knowledgeable about cross contamination issues.

On the first Tues of the month this bakery does Gluten Free items. I just bought some and they were wonderful. I got a chocolate chip cookie and cinnamon chip bread. Keep in mind that this bakery is a "gluten filled" bakery and they are mindful of cross contamination issues but it can't be guaranteed. I spoke with the owners while I was there and absolutely enjoyed them.
