I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars!! With so little gf options on Maui I was in heaven after discovering this place. Not only was it completely gf (no risk of cross contamination) but they have gf foods you cannot find anywhere else (cheese sticks, onion rings, delicious home recipe pizza and much more). There staff is extremely friendly. I highly recommend the mango stuffed chicken!

After reading the other reviews I had high hopes for this place. It's hard to find a deli place that is both gf and celiac safe. I ordered a gf sandwich and informed the employee I had celiac and to please make my sandwich separately. She gave me a blank stare and said "i guess we can do that". After waiting over 15minutes (where 2 other people after me had been served) I asked if she knew when it would be ready. I got a "it will be ready in 5". When I got my sandwich I noticed the bread was different (it was not Udis bread). She said it was gf bread. I took the sandwich home and realized it was not gf bread but plain white bread. I paid over $11 for this non-gf sandwich after specifically ordering it. Celiac's beware of this place!

Noodles & Company is one of those rare "fast food" companies that has a full GF menu with allergen list accompanying it. They have their own gf pasta to make almost any regular dish. Their Pad Thai is delicious. When you order off the gf menu the server will mark it as an allergy and tell the cooks so they use a dedicated pan for you. They really seem to know what they are doing for people with allergies.

While Panera may seem like an odd place to eat for a celiac I have recently discovered that they have a "secret menu" online where most of those options are gf! You have to find it online as they don't advertise it in store. I have gotten the Power Steak Lettuce Wraps (fresh steak, pesto lettuce, tomatoes, onions) and loved it everytime. Just ask the server to change their gloves before making your food to avoid cross contamination. Panera is a great place to hang out with friends, grab a bite to eat, or study and now us gf folks can enjoy it too.

Lily Q's is one of those all around great BBQ joints in Chicago. They don't have a dedicated gf menu but you can get pretty much any of their meats without bread as the meats come dry and you had your own sauces. The tri-trip is delicious and tender. The best thing about this place is all their custom sauces (6-7) are ALL GF! They are also have a few gf drinks available including some custom made whiskey that are clearly labeled on their menu. Definitely give this place a try!

  • Sweet Baby Ray's

    4 starsOctober 28, 2013

While sweet baby rary's does not have a dedicated gf menu, both times I have went I found the servers to be knowledgeable about my options and ways to modify menu items. Their original Sweet Baby Rays sauce is naturally GF so you can get that with pulled pork or chicken. I have gotten their BBQ pork salad (minus croutons and ranch) both times and never had a problem. Watch out for their fries as I was informed last time they are not used in a dedicated fryer. Overall good place to eat and they also have gf hard cider.

Excellent spot for gluten free eating. When you ask for no bun the staff always asks if it's for an allergy and informs everyone as to make this burger separately and free of cross contamination. The fries are very generous portion sizes and GF as well. Plus you get unlimited free peanuts while you wait!

Very extensive GF menu (including GF beers) that had a lot of the same items as the regular menu just made GF! They even have Udi's bread for the burgers. As another reviewer said, while the fries themselves are GF they are cooked in the same fryer as everything else so they are not safe to eat. The waitress was kind enough to inform me of this. Overall great atmosphere, great food and good service. Will return again!
