My husband and I have eaten at this restaurant several times and are both pleased with the food, service, cleanliness and staff that are knowledgeable about what is and is not gluten free, on their menu. Most meats and side items are gluten free, as well as their BBQ sauces. They do have a dedicated fryer for their French fries. ( I asked)....as their onion rings are NOT gluten free, but their fries are. Very friendly staff that seem quite happy to answer questions and if they are uncertain about something, they have always quickly gone to find out the answer for us....or the uncertainty about a particular item, that came in bulk ( like the ketchup ).

My husband and I have eaten at this restaurant several times, while traveling through the area....but only once since he was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. We were quite pleased to find that the staff seemed quite knowledgeable about what items on their menu were gluten free and the ones that were not. All of their meats and most of their side items, are gluten free. Some of the desserts are also gluten free.Since the cutting area is used for meats as well as their bread, they quickly told us that they would be changing their cutting board out for a clean one and they also changed their gloves, for our order.Hubby and I were both impressed with the friendly service and their awareness of cross contamination.Oh, and the BBQ and sauces/condiments are excellent! The smoked turkey is our favorite. We got extra to have leftovers, the next day! :-)

Bar and Grill, offering a variety of American cuisine. Famous for their BBQ. Open for lunch and dinner, 7 days a week. Excellent food, very clean, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Dedicated grill (not fryer) for GF. Owner eats GF. No separate GF menu but most items on regular menu are GF. Just ask the staff.

This restaurant does not have a specific gluten free menu but do have many items on their regular menu, that are gluten free. Most of their meats are gluten free as well as the potato salad, cole slaw, green beans and baked beans. You go in and order and pay at the counter and then your food is brought to you, at your table. The food is served in "to go" containers with plastic utensils. The young lady that took our order, quickly went to the back to check on gluten free options for us, in a very pleasant and sincere manner. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly and the restaurant was very clean. We will go back when in the area again.

Gluten free menu was readily available at the hostess desk and our server was great. She went to great pains to make sure that my husband's meal was as gluten free as possible. She even asked whether she should bring any bread out for me (I wasn't eating gluten free). Great restaurant, with a specific menu of gluten free items, with lots of choices. The food was excellent here, at a noon meal on a Sunday....pleasant and very helpful staff that were knowledgeable about gluten free eating. Very clean and cheerful restaurant. We would definitely go back if we are in this area again. $$

This is the third Carlos O'Kelly's that we have been to, while traveling over the past two weeks. One of them, we went to twice. This particular one did not impress us....except in a negative way. The food did not taste the same and certainly wasn't as good. The chicken breast, that my husband got (and that he had gotten at another of their restaurants) seemed to be a processed chicken with that reconstituted taste and texture of a McDonald's chicken nugget (spongy texture, is a good way to describe it). After addressing our concerns to our pleasant server, regarding whether or not it was actually gluten free, the manager working that day, assured us that all O'Kelly's food was the same and obtained from the same source. My husband, who has Celiac disease, did not finish the chicken and after tasting it myself, I agreed with his assessment. The fajitas, that I ordered, also did not taste nearly as good as what I had eaten at their two other restaurants.... Nor did the salsa, chips or queso. We won't be back to this location....

We stopped for lunch at this Logan's Roadhouse, as we were traveling through the area, on a Saturday. We asked for their gluten free menu as soon as the seating hostess greeted us and were promptly handed one, that was readily available at the hostess desk. The pleasant, young server said that she was not familiar with the gluten free menu but after we placed our order, she came back to tell us that the baked sweet potato that we had ordered, could not be served with butter, as they only had margarine....and that could not be included with their gluten free items. She let us decide if we wanted the margarine or not. Logan's did seem "aware" of gluten sensitivities and did try to provide us with accurate information regarding their menu. There was a nice selection on their menu and everyone was pleasant and helpful that we encountered. The food was very good and the only reason that I didn't give them 5 stars was due to the fact that I felt that the probability for cross contamination was quite high. Price $$

    5 starsApril 24, 2013

3862 Trenton Rd, Clarksville, TN 37042

A very nice find, while we were traveling through the area! Dedicated gluten free restaurant. A "base" bowl of hand cut fries, baked potato or salad.... Then top with either, Italian, Chicano, Greek, Canuck, Buffalo, Philly, Thai or Veggie meal toppings. Add steak, chicken or shrimp. Extra toppings and premium toppings available for .50/$2.00. "Bowls" are $7.99 with steak or chicken and $8.99 with shrimp. Kids Meals, at a reduced price, are also available. All potato bowls are gluten and MSG free. Very friendly and helpful staff and owner. Not a fancy place but very clean and inviting. We won't hesitate to go back if we are in the area again. Since hubby has Celiac disease, it is always nice to find a place and not have to worry about cross contamination.

Dedicated gluten free menu. Salsa, chips, queso, all gluten free! Very good Mexican food that isn't "too" spicy....just flavorful with a mild bite. Quite a bit to choose from on the gluten free menu. Our first time to this restaurant, while traveling. Waiter was quite pleasant. We'll hit this chain again.

  • Montana Mike's Steakhouse

    3 starsApril 16, 2013

700 West Wyatt Earp Boulevard, Dodge City, KS 67801

Friendly chain steakhouse, that has a "list" of gluten free items that are on their menu, but not a gluten free menu. My husband had their rib plate with a baked potato and green beans. The green beans came out with bacon. They were listed as a gluten free item but my husband was concerned about whether the bacon was actually gluten free, so did not eat them. The food was "ok" to good....large servings. We would eat here again. Hostess and waitress were both friendly and helpful with the diet restrictions regarding gluten.

There is no specific gluten free menu. Green chili is gluten free. Small cafe with very friendly staff. A place that we keep going back to. Modestly priced. Planning to open for dinner in the near future.
