spouse of celiac
4900 Sergeant Road, Sioux City, IA 51106
Another great option for dining out. My wife is the celiac, and appreciates the GF bun that's edible (pretty good, by her report) and GF fries.
206 1st Street, Sergeant Bluff, IA 51054
Very good option for GF pizza in the area. There is only one crust available (medium), and you can have any topping added. We usually call ahead to order the GF pizza for my wife, and we all come in for the buffet. They do have a small salad bar to choose from, too, with GF dressings. You can also finish with the soft serve ice cream. We've been going to the Pizza Ranch restaurants for a couple years without a single problem. Thanks Pizza Ranch!
Playa Matapalo - Sardinal, Costa Rica
several restaurants within the resort, 1 buffet, and 4 others. all of them were quite accommodating. the buffet always had a number of choices, 3 times daily. of the 4 remaining, 3 required reservations. if you mention celiac, they offered a couple of choices upon arrival, including specially prepared desserts, all of which were great.
5400 27th Street, Moline, IL 61265
no GF menu, but were very accommodating. she was able to eat part of the salad bar (minimal GF dressings), a filet mignon, baked sweet taters and wine. no problems. only reason for 4 stars was the price. somewhat of a dive, but good eats.
1000 Bass Pro Dr NW, Altoona, IA 50009
We happened to be there (bass pro shop) doing some shopping, and stopped in their restaurant and bowling alley (pretty cool combo as part of bass pro shop). They didn't have a dedicated GF menu, but were very accommodating. my wife had a burger without the bun and a salad, and an angry orchard beverage, and no problems noted. It's a cool place, kid friendly, bar/bowling alley, "under the sea" theme. the regular menu has some atypical menu items for the non-celiacs. Would definitely go there again if in the area. Also, it's only a few minutes away from adventureland!!!
5055 Northwest 2nd Street, Des Moines, IA 50313
very good food. just ask for the GF menu when you get there. they do bring it out separated from the regular menu items. all bbq sauces GF there as well.
2410 SE Tones Drive, Ankeny, IA 50021
good eats, helpful and knowledgeable staff.
465 Center Place Southwest, Altoona, IA 50009
as with many pizza ranch stores, they offer the typical medium GF pizza for about $10 with any toppings. only gave them 4 stars due to being unorganized, and not keeping the buffet stocked very well. otherwise, no problems with the grub!
1501 Broadway St, Yankton, SD 57078
like many of the other pizza ranch restaurants, the yankton location recently added the medium GF pizza to their menu. for those of you who haven't been to PR, it's a buffet. we usually call ahead to order to my wife's GF pizza (any toppings you want), so it's ready when we get there. then she doesn't have to wait while we begin to pig out. only gave it 4 stars because it's not quite as nice, and staff could have been a little more friendly.
226 Hanover St, Boston, MA 02113
good food, but rather expensive. had GF pasta available, but not much for pasta dishes. my wife got the risotto side and thought it was good. another flourless choc cake for dessert. in comparison to others in the area, it was okay. likely would not return due to costs, but otherwise food and staff were fine.
26 Park Plaza, Boston, MA 02116
great food! staff very helpful and fairly knowledgeable of GF concerns. dedicated GF menu. manager specifically brought out my wife's GF meal, as noted in other reviews. they did have a GF flourless chocolate cake, more like an oversized truffle, that was pretty tasty! we definitely did not go away hungry. loved it! went to am overpriced Italian joint in the north side, and would go back to LSF way before the Italian joint!
1 Columbus Ave, Boston, MA 02116
we got the GF chocolate decadence and the (crustless) cheesecake. both pretty darn good. only reason i would give 4 stars instead of five is risk of contamination, with all desserts in same display case. my wife ate part of both of them without any problems. a little pricey, but hey, it's also Boston. would go there again if in the area.
159 Newbury St, Boston, MA 02116
had a few GF options (pizza and GF noodles available for pasta dishes). my wife thought the pizza was okay.
8 Park Plaza Space D6, Boston, MA 02116
have a dedicated GF menu along side regular menu. even has a couple desert choices. good eats. riendly, GF aware staff. reasonable prices.
181 Newbury St, Boston, MA 02116
wait staff very friendly, fairly GF aware. several choices, very reasonable. can modify even appetizers to accommodateGF diets. cool environment as well.
120 S 31st Ave, Omaha, NE 68131
Had several GF choices on the menu. My wife really liked her choice. Only close call was, Chips and salsa at the table was very good, but had 2 choices. One wasn't GF, but we hadn't asked in time. The guacamole was also GF, made fresh at your table. Would definitely eat there again.
125 East Washington Street, Iowa City, IA 52240
good GF bread for sandwiches, somewhat airy/light. would agree with other reviews. kid friendly, too. reasonable price, considering next to U of I campus.
816 5th Ave, Grinnell, IA 50112
good GF pizza (good gf crust is hard to find), and this was pretty good and reasonable price.
1500 West 18th Street South, Newton, IA 50208
great option for the GF diner. not all pizza ranches have GF pizza, but the ones that do, typically have a medium pizza for $10, any toppings.
2101 BROADWAY, YANKTON, SD 57078
good option for GF pizza. one size, medium, for $10.
1025 5th St NW, Washington, DC 20001
they had several GF items on the menu. my wife, the celiac, had GF rice and beans with chicken, I had the GF fried chicken and collard greens. both were quite tasty! great food, great service! loved it!
