Awesome food. Mom stops by every time she's in the area and brings goodies home for us. Yum.

Great food, great service. The sandwiches were very good but the cupcakes were amazing. The owner's daughter has Celiac so they understand cross-contamination and are careful.

Alternative Eating has moved and entered into a partnership with them. The staff is well-trained and knowledgeable about GF food. They clean everything down to prevent cross-contamination, so the food takes a bit longer for us but it's so worth it. We had the chicken kabob, risotto with crab and a seasonal fruit salad. Dessert was something called halva. Yum.

This is a nice place for a nice day/night out. The ambience is amazing and, of course, downtown Tunkhannock is a pretty place to visit anytime. As for the food: Mmmmmmm. Mom had broiled haddock with dill butter and I had scallops. It's so easy to kill either but they both tasted wonderful. Yes, we swiped some from each other's plate. ;p We came about mid-day on the weekend, so they were busy, but the wait was relatively short and service polite and not too long. The prices were decent. Definitely not everyday dining but good for a nice time out.

Spaghetti's good, so is the salad. I do wish they'd open up their choices, though. There's a lot they make regular that could be made GF with a few changes.

They've replaced the wraps with bread and increased options. So much better. Although, I didn't mind the wraps in the first place. I asked them what bread but I've forgotten what it was. It's good, though.

Nice. These guys automatically put our burgers in a foil-lined tray. We usually end up doing that ourselves.

We had the pizza. Nom nom. It was really good, a tapioca thin-crust that was nice and chewy. It tasted great and the people were really nice.

Wow! These guys have great food! The staff are educated and extremely helpful and nice. The Chocolate Lava cake...whoa! Mom (and I) loved the ribs. The portions are huge, so prepare to take leftovers home. And the prices are actually listed on the GF menu, no surprises at the end! One word of warning: If you are using the gps and the White Plains address, it takes you to the wrong place. Keep going to the same address in WEST HARRISON, NY.

While they don't have an official gf menu, there are definite options. Mom likes their JJ salad while I always get the grilled chicken parmesan. We also get the potato skins every time. Yum. Oh, they do carry Woodchuck cider, too.

The food was awesome, the service was great and they were careful, even double-checking things just to make sure. Word of warning, the Cobb Salad on the gf menu is dinner-sized, not appetizer sized. But it is delicious!

Call ahead to see if the gf pizza is back. They took it off for a few weeks to fiddle with the recipe and don't have any at the moment. Otherwise they serve salads and a small number of other dishes. The server was awesome about it and double-checked. He really was sorry and seemed to care.

1925 Wyoming Ave, Exeter, PA 18643-1452

Pasta is awesome. I like Ferri's pizza better but we aren't big fans of sweet sauces. Very greasy, but otherwise it was okay. The pizza doesn't reheat well at all the next day.

  • Tony's Pizza & Subs

While we didn't have cookies, we had the pizza and it was DELICIOUS. The owners' daughter has CD so they are really careful about cross contamination. It's a thin crust that manages to be both chewy and crispy at the same time that even includes a fresh, new pizza cutter for each pie. Nice people.

I had a GF egg salad sandwich and it was GOOD! They use Food For Life bread. I liked it.

  • Pizzeria Da Vinci

I like this pizza. It's thin-crust and reminds me of Jule's in Philly. It stays together wonderfully and tastes great. This place is a bit off the highway but worth detouring to if you're on a trip through Connecticutt.

  • Juliano's Italian Pizzeria

    5 starsJuly 07, 2011

They served us chicken parmagiana and an extremely delicious cheese pizza. Oh my gods, they were wonderful. The staff has a really good understanding of Celiac and all prep is done in a dedicated area with different utensils and everything. It is tucked away BEHIND the Sunoco as you get off the highway so be careful you don't miss it. That would be a real pity. Seriously. Go there.

Although I'm bummed that they took off the Chicken Caesar salad I like their salad bar and the other add-ons like the sugar snap peas and the apples are awesome. The staff here is very friendly and service was with a smile.

  • Bare Naked Bakery & Cafe

The panini and pretzel were excellent. It was really nice to go somewhere and nit have to worry about cross-contamination.

Decent burgers but eating there with friends can feel a bit masochistic when they have the buns and the works. Lettuce-wrapped burgers just don't taste quite the same.

  • Ferri's Pizza

    5 starsApril 14, 2011

106 Church St, Moscow, PA 18444

The owner has his own recipe for the shells. It's a nice medium thickness and tastes delicious. We had the plain cheese and the ham & cheese and brought some home. During lent a potato pizza is available. The owner and his family are aware of Celiac and careful and very friendly. Menu is not limited to pizza, so any non-Celiac in your group will find good food, too. Check out the mining history stuff while waiting.

Wow! The food is excellent. The owner and servers are educated and (drum roll, please) GF desserts! The owner has been making GF desserts and baked goods. Soft pretzels, cheesecake, cupcakes to name a few.

The pizza is great and you can even buy the crust to take home with you. They avoid cc really well. Never had a problem.
