Really poor service for a Saturday when college is not in session. We inquired about GF since we are celiacs. The server understood that they had gluten free rolls, knew nothing about the meatballs and more than one server seemed inconvenienced by our questions for our safety (sanity). Go cautiously.

We had a long discussion with the staff prior to ordering take out. Once we got home j ate dinner and immediately got sick....we checked the buns from the sandwiches and two different ones were used, one gluten free and one not; careless! Be cautious! I now have a few days of recovery.....thanks bistro!

I love the place! Every time we are in town we visit "Holy Cow"! The only thing I don't like is having to teach the staff until a manager is asked for it comes along......please train your people so I don't have to go through the same conversation over and over :-)

Great GF menu......I have eaten here a dozen times and have never been sick. Update: I informed the server of my celiac condition and the manager came over; he walked me through all their precautions and made us feel comfortable. Well, 10 min out the door I was a wreck! Stopped 3 times on the way home and have been in bed all afternoon.....ugh! Beware of those in the kitchen! Company policy is one thing.....execution is something different.

I am visit San Antonio for a month and am trying to find some good celiac friendly restaurants, Rosario's was a logical choice based on their menu. I rented a bike and headed that way, after getting there I spoke with three separate servers and they had no idea what celiac was......that's ok, I explained. They showed me all the gluten free items...and I asked about cross contamination.....they said they don't change gloves or take exceptions on the line.....great menu, eat at own risk, the staff was not prepared.

Servers were aloof to what is or is. It gluten free. I have visited several times and have been told that the salad dressing(s) one time are gluten free, then the next time I am told they are not gluten free. Pizza is some of the better pizza for people who have celiac disease (I have been sick one time after eating there). The rolls ROCK!!!!!!

They have sandwiches and custom salads and sides. Some of the staff have celiac disease and understand the issues and challenges associated with having the disease. Very helpful and great selections.

Visited the restaurant because the ratings and comments are out of this world. My wife asked the server about the options for those who have celiac disease, the server stated she had worked there for four years and did not know of any options. We stated the intolerance to gluten, she said they did have a few options, but they were not prepared in a separate area of the kitchen or handled by a single person through out the cooking process.

Stopped in and asked what precautions they staff took to address cross contamination. The order taker ha no clue what I was talking about; manager stepped in and stated: We make our gluten free items on the same board we make out other sandwiches on. I then asked about knives, changing gloves, etc.... She stated they did not take special precautions, only offer gluten free breads, and bagels. Beware!
