Good option for nice lunch in downtown Rocky Mount! They use Glutino bread to make gf sandwiches. Good chicken salad, and pimento cheese and BLT sandwiches were had by our group. Really pleasant atmosphere just inside Imperial Center. Also lots of well-made coffee drinks and teas. So glad to find this spot in our way through town!

  • Southport Smoke House

    5 starsJuly 05, 2015

    1102 N Howe St, Southport, NC 28461

Great ribs and bbq! Potato salad, yummy slaw, baked beans, lots of sauces all gluten free, and can be ordered a la carte or in a combo plate. Pleasant roomy dining area, including an outdoor porch. Friendly staff, knowledgeable about GF ingredients, quick service done cafeteria-style. For non-celiacs in your group, hush puppies are not to be missed, but sadly not GF, and fries/buffalo chips are also not safe for celiacs as they are done in the same fryer.

  • Jack Sprats Restaurant

    4 starsAugust 12, 2014

510 E Main St, Cottage Grove, OR 97424

Yummy food, and large portions! Lots of GF options, and also vegetarian GF choices beyond the standard salad or grilled cheese, which is more unusual. College-y, slightly grungy atmosphere, kind of underground feel.

  • Zeppo Italian Restaurant

    3 starsAugust 01, 2014

    345 1st St #105, Lake Oswego, OR 97034

Eh. Did have GF rotini that could be substituted in many pasta dishes. Menu not marked with GF options though. Food was fine, but not knock-your-socks-off. Service was very slow and disorganized, and overall was pretty expensive. Fries not in dedicated dryer (admittedly not the first thing you look for in an Italian restaurant but that knocked several items off the kids menu for us so beware if you're a family dining out).

  • La Provence Boulangerie & Patisserie

    5 starsAugust 01, 2014

16350 SW Boones Ferry Rd, Lake Oswego, OR 97035

We ate brunch, and had great choices and really delicious food! The menu is clearly marked with GF offerings, and when my son asked longingly whether they could make the banana French toast with GF bread instead of brioche (not marked GF) they said "sure" - he was thrilled! Good service despite really busy time, and knowledgable server. The really excellent GF toast is house-made - NOT the standard sawdust Udi's GF bread substitute...and came with the most delicious raspberry jam. It IS hard to walk by the amazing pastry case, but the number of options helps make up for it! I also liked that they offer an inexpensive kids meal in a "pick 3 from this list" format - my celiac kids could tailor their meal nicely to their tastes, and had several good choices. Both my older vegetarian son and my husband who prefers egg whites to whole eggs had great meals. Seriously, try their GF bread/toast!!

Really fresh delicious sushi, very knowledgeable friendly helpful service, GF soy sauce, and GF was specified on each sushi roll ordered. Great meal!

  • Bellagio‚Äôs Pizza

    5 starsJuly 30, 2014

1235 McVey Ave, Lake Oswego, OR 97034

Awesome GF pizza! And I don't say that lightly...we eat a lot of pizza (4 boys in the family) and are inevitably disappointed by the crust. But here they have not only really great topping combinations (how many pizza places put pre-suggested combos on a GF menu for you, rather than just making you build your own - which you can do too) but a thin but not cracker like with a little bit of chewiness - almost like real pizza crust, said my husband. Friendly quick service. Try the BBQ chicken pizza!

Charlotte-Douglas International Airport, Main Terminal Center, Atrium, 5501 R C Josh Birmingham Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28208

Nice server, who knew about what could be made GF and what couldn't be. They did have a GF menu. Very limited offerings (maybe 5 entrees?), and almost nothing for a GF vegetarian. We are a family of celiacs, and didn't have any cross-contamination issues, but did make me a little nervous. Good if you aren't too picky. Service was pretty fast despite almost every table filled.

  • Thai Jing

    5 starsJune 22, 2014

    3795 E North St, Greenville, SC 29615

This place is awesome! They are helpful in figuring out what dishes can be made gluten-free, but best of all, they will make fresh batches of sauces to guarantee that nothing is contaminated, if you're willing to wait a few extra minutes. And the food is delicious. We love panang curry (chicken is always perfectly done), pad see ew, pad woon sen, and the fresh rolls. The staff is so helpful and friendly - very warm family atmosphere.

Very helpful! Our order had special stickers noting allergy on them, and order taker was knowledgable. Fresh salads and fruit cups, including blueberries.

  • Cheesecake Factory

    4 starsApril 18, 2014

5530 Glades Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33431

Nice to have the dedicated GF menu since the regular menu is huge. Good selection, even for my celiac vegetarian son. Delicious gf chocolate cheesecake! Come hungry - portions are enormous.

  • Corner Taco

    5 starsApril 16, 2014

818 Post Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204

So friendly, yummy food, and staff is well-versed in GF food prep! Queso was delicious, altho on the spicy side for my kids. My older kids could have eaten 2 tacos each, as could have we adults - the fried chicken taco went over very well, fish taco also very good! Delicious black beans. We found this spot using this app, on our drive down to Disney, and it was awesome to stop for fresh healthy delicious food just off I-95...literally right off the highway! Highly recommend it to those traveling through Jacksonville instead of the usual limited-for-celiacs fast food options on the interstate.

  • Teppan Edo

    4 starsApril 16, 2014

1780 Ave of the Stars, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

Japanese grill, 8 to a table, chef prepares in front of you. Helpful and knowledgeable about celiac. Prepared the 5 celiac meals first, then the remaining 3, to prevent cross-contamination. GF meals were a little blander (2 of 3 sauces not Gf, couldn't have noodles or marinades on meats) but still tasty, and a fun experience. Did provide GF soy sauce.

  • Hollywood & Vine

    4 starsApril 16, 2014

351 S Studio Dr, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

Cafeteria-style dining. Very helpful chef came and gave us a tour of the buffet line, talking us through each dish and answering questions, and then all-you-can-eat. Quite a few options, but pretty nerve-wracking for sensitive celiacs. Lots of cross-contamination opportunities. Very busy place. Not our favorite dinner at Disney, and probably would try out something else next time, but rates a solid Good.

  • Whispering Canyon Cafe

    5 starsApril 16, 2014

Disney's Wilderness Lodge, 901 Timberline Dr, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

Our family of 5 celiacs (and one not!) really enjoyed our dinner here, probably best meal we had at 3 days at Disney. Most of standard dinner menu was gluten free, chef was friendly, helpful and very knowledgable. We also have a vegetarian celiac in our family, and chef made him a special veggie pasta. Really good hearty meal, served family style, so you could pick and choose a little or a lot of a variety of foods. Ribs, BBQ, chicken, green beans, and GF cornbread were all favorites. Raucous loud atmosphere. GF blueberry cheesecake was very popular with the table!

  • Talia's Tuscan Table

    5 starsApril 16, 2014

4070 North Dixie Highway, Boca Raton, FL 33431

So nice to have a selection of different GF pasta sauces! Vodka sauce and Alfredo highly recommended, baked ziti good. Tasty GF pizza, well cooked pasta (not mushy - yay!!), very friendly and helpful owner. Don't miss the cannoli filling! Very casual neighborhood vibe. We had such a nice 3-generation family dinner. Come hungry - portions are enormous!

  • California Pizza Kitchen

    5 starsApril 16, 2014

6000 Glades Rd. #1230, Boca Raton, FL 33431

The dedicated gluten-free pizzas (there are 4 plus plain cheese) are yummy and crispy. Much better than average! My 11-yr old celiac son says best GF pizza crust other than homemade that he's had in almost 3 GF years. Also lots of good hearty GF salad options, and we had a very helpful knowledgable server too. Will return!

  • Petterino's

    4 starsNovember 09, 2013

    150 N Dearborn St, Chicago, IL 60601

Nice to have dedicated GF menu and server was helpful and informed. Great GF linguini. The deviled eggs and corn chowder were great, too. Warm and relaxed atmosphere - could go casual or dressier. Lots of pre-theater dining but cleared out promptly at 7:30!

  • Wildberry Pancakes & Cafe

    5 starsNovember 09, 2013

130 East Randolph Street, Chicago, IL 60601

Great GF pancakes and generous quantities. The cinnamon roll GF pancakes were really good. Nice to find a place where celiac kids can get pancakes too!

  • Grill Marks

    5 starsSeptember 02, 2013

209 South Main Street, Greenville, SC 29601

Our celiac family (5 out of 6 of us) loves Grill Marks! Awesome burgers and Gf buns, fries, and fried pickles! Good gf options for kids: sliders, corndogs, side of chili. Very knowledgeable staff, for the most part. Just beware, vegetarian celiacs: the veggie burger is NOT GF. We found that out the hard way. It was served as requested on a GF bun, but we got slack and didn't specifically ask if the veggie burger was GF. Found out on a subsequent visit, after the bad consequences, that it is not. Otherwise a really great casual but upscale downtown restaurant! Milkshakes are not to be missed.

  • BIN112

    5 starsAugust 24, 2013

112 Trade St, Greer, SC 29651

Great place for an upscale GF meal. Lovely atmosphere, very knowledgeable and helpful kitchen. My husband, who has celiac, eats business dinners here frequently and it's so nice for him to be able to trust the kitchen and have plenty of choices.

  • Kannika's Thai Kitchen

    5 starsAugust 24, 2013

430 Haywood Road, Greenville, SC 29607

Great Thai food! Very knowledgeable about GF foods and which menu items can and can't be prepared GF. Altho not posted online, they have a menu at the restaurant with GF options, and will steer you away from problematic menu items. We have 4 celiac kids (as is my husband), and we like take-out since that's often more pleasant than eating in. Can be VERY spicy - even "medium" is too hot for most American kid-palates, so when in doubt, order no spice or mild... Still really flavorful!

  • Zahtar Mediterranean Sandwich Bar

    5 starsAugust 04, 2013

148 Fleet Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801

Great place for casual yummy family food, with good options for celiacs, including a GF gyro. Staff was knowledgeable (changed gloves unprompted prior to preparing our order, had good ordering suggestions). Had a GF flatbread substitute for pita - not quite as good as the real thing, but the fillings were great!

  • The Mill on MacArthur

    5 starsAugust 04, 2013

4023 MacArthur Ave, Richmond, VA 23227

Great casual food with lots of GF options and very knowledgeable waitstaff. Found good (and plenty of) options for 4 celiac kids, plus one who is also vegetarian. Awesome GF wings! Really great neighborhood vibe and atmosphere. High quality food, prepared well. Felt very confident eating here with the whole family!
