Sorry. I'll give RailTrail a couple of stars for their amazing menu and good food, but the service is so bad, I've now left 3 times without a meal. That's how incompetent their service is. The first two times, it wasn't a matter of being GF, they just forgot my order. And once the waitress even cried. It was really bad. I've never been there with a group and have everyone get what they ordered without there being an issue. As far as GF goes, don't eat here if you have CC issues. The last time I ate there I ordered the pizza on a GF crust. A half hour after ordering the manager came over to ask if I had CC issues. (I do). If so, he said that i really shouldn't eat there as all the work services were contaminated. While I thank him for being honest and knowing about CC, I really wish he could have told me before the food was being served to the rest of my party. Once again, I leave Rail Trail with no meal. I have no issues with restaurants that can't provide gluten free meals. I DO have problems with restaurants that have gluten free meals on their menu that they can't deliver. I will never be back

This restaurant doesn't have a gluten free menu. It is an old fashioned diner where everything is fresh and cooked to order. Because they are actually cooking your food rather than just re-heating something like many of the chains do, they can easily customize your order. I am both gf/df, and have eaten in this restaurant multiple times with no issues. The waitresses have always been very careful while taking my order. The chef obviously is careful as well, because he has either personally come back to ask me questions or sent the waitresses back to make sure he gets it correct (has asked me if rice flour is okay and if I'd like vegetable or olive oil for the cooking). The chef also always lets me know that he cooked my order on a clean skillet rather than the grill.

Great gluten/dairy free option. The GF wraps they use are Maria and Ricardo GF tortillas. I usually end up ditching the wrap/bread as most are terrible, but these were excellent. And it was all wrapped around the best chicken salad I've ever had. My husband and both kids (non-GF) all loved their meals and said they wished we lived closer to come back. The dairy free smoothies were awesome. The only disappointment was the chai. Oh well, can't win them all.

While everyone's opinion of the food will vary, I'm giving 5 stars based on the gf menu and staff's attention to detail. I have both a gluten and dairy allergy. The staff checked everything. In fact, I ordered the marinara sauce because I checked the jar of sauce they sell in the lobby and it was dairy free. The manager informed me that the one from the kitchen was different and used to contain onions sauteed in butter, but since someone else asked for it to be diary free like the jarred sauce they recently changed the recipe. They definitely take cross contamination seriously. They double checked the rolls to make sure they were truly dairy free and they heated them wrapped in foil to avoid gluten contamination. It was nice to have so many choices and feel safe that I was getting something that wouldn't make me sick.

While this isn't a typical "5 star" restaurant, I'm rating it as such as it is the best restaurant for gluten free food in the area. (On yelp, I've rated it as a 4 star restaurant, as people using that site are not necessarily looking for gluten free options). This is one of those places you'd never think to try without a recommendation, but after all the great recommendations on findmeglutenfree.com, I just had to give it a try. It's hidden away in the Comcast office complex on the far end of Main Street. Atmosphere is typical office park cafe, a little dark and sparse, but impeccably clean. This is an order at the counter type of place and everything is freshly prepared. There is an extensive menu with daily specials and lots of gluten free options. Daily specials included fried clams, lobster rolls and pulled pork sandwiches, just to name a few. I tried the lobster roll (on gluten free bread) and was pleasantly surprises to find that it was chock full of lobster. Both the offerings and the quality of the food where definitely a step up form what you would expect in this type of setting. The owner is really invested in providing great food at fair prices. He has many gluten free customers in the office complex and has really educated himself to meet their needs. There is a dedicated fryer, breads are grilled so that they are not contaminated in a shared toaster, gluten free pasta is available, meatballs are made gluten free, etc. This is now my go-to breakfast/lunch spot in Hudson and I will be back on a regular basis. No where else in the area has the amount of options that Cafe 577 does (I also have a dairy allergy, so am usually limited to just one or two options per restaurant), and I don't believe anywhere else in Hudson has a dedicated fryer.

I have both a gluten and dairy allergy. Looking at the menu, I thought we'd have to go someplace else, but when I went up to ask a few questions, our server was very helpful, double checked everything and even made some suggestions. I ended ordering a garden salad with a side of lobster on tip (one of the suggestions of my wonderful server). She also made sure to alert a manager and have everyone in the kitchen change their gloves. We were at the Natick/Jordan's location during the week at about 11:30, so it wasn't very crowded. You might not received the same level of service when there is a huge line.
