I used to go to Cheesecake Factory all the time because they had a pretty good gluten free menu. But a few weeks ago they completely re-designed their menu and many of the GF options were eliminated (Bring back the eggplant sandwich!!). They currently have GF buns but they're not listed on the new menu at all. That makes me think they will only be available until the current stock runs out. Very disappointing.

GF buns. Great burgers, sweet potato fries (note: no dedicated fryer), and shakes.

  • Wegmans

45131 Columbia Pl, Sterling, VA 20166

By far the largest GF selection of any supermarket chain in the area.

  • Corner Bakery

They have "gluten friendly bread" available for an extra charge. That sounded like GF bread but I asked them to be sure. The girl working the counter was completely clueless. She knew they had the gluten friendly bread but admitted she had no idea what that meant. After speaking with the manager he confirmed it was indeed GF bread. Wow, that's gotta be the worst phrasing in the industry. Slow service too. Dear Corner Bakery: Please train your employees better and give your GF bread a more sensible name.

  • The Dons Wood-Fired Pizza

Good GF pizza. Large soda selection and outdoor seating area.

  • Melt Gourmet Cheeseburgers

    525 E Market St, Leesburg, VA 20176

GF buns. One of the best burgers in Northern VA.

Decent-sized GF menu (not listed on website). Good selection of entrees and salads. GF beer.

Decent breakfast place with GF toast and fresh-squeezed OJ. As some of the other reviewers noted, the prices increase and the service decreases on the weekend. And the place can get very noisy, especially if other patrons aren't using their "inside" voices.

  • Barra Rossa

    4 starsMay 04, 2014

GF pizza and pasta. Staff was knowledgeable.

  • Paesano's Philly Style

GF sub rolls! The "Paesano" sandwich is incredible and definitely unique. One warning, Google Maps says it only takes 20 minutes to walk to Paesano's from the Independence Hall area. Please note this is a filthy lie, its closer to 45 minutes.

Don't let the name fool you, most of the menu items are not traditional Mexican food. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. No dedicated GF menu, but the staff was knowledgeable.

Mostly marketed as a whiskey bar, which is unfortunate because the food is excellent. No GF menu, however the staff was very knowledgeable and most entrees turned out to be GF. Good atmosphere, live music, and reasonable prices relative to the area.
